La mostra “Out of the Blue, Viaggio nella Calligrafia attraverso Alcantara” vi aspetta a Palazzo Reale! Oggi vi parliamo di altri due dei sei affermati autori cinesi che espongono i propri lavori nell’Appartamento dei Principi. Zhang Chun Hong, nella prima foto, presenta un’ibridazione che unisce elementi umani e della natura. L’artista esprime il concetto di forza vitale attraverso un’opera scultorea in cui natura, corpo e calligrafia diventano un’entità inscindibile attraverso il medium Alcantara, trasformando le fluide linee dei capelli, suo tema ricorrente, in rappresentazione di acqua che scorre. Nella cultura tradizionale cinese i capelli sono associati alla vita ed evocano idee di temporalità e continuità inerenti al pensiero buddista. Nella seconda foto l’installazione digitale di Wang Huangsheng porta lo sguardo verso l’alto in un continuo movimento di luminosità e ideogrammi, richiamando barlumi di pensiero fugaci e riflessi che scorrono in forma ipnotica. Lilith, Adam’s first wife before Eve was made by god from the same earth as Adam, and wanted to be his equal. When he would not agree she escaped from Eden to live in a cave by the Red Sea. Her legend, which stretches back 4 millennia to ancient Babylon and Sumeria, is a miasma of incarnations; at her earliest, a Sumerian temple priestess performing sacred sexual rituals, and later in judeo-christian tradition as an expression of male anxieties, a blood sucking vampire succubus, a self-fertiliser with demon sperm, and a child murdering fucker of demons for all eternity; a depiction fuelling centuries of witch trials, carnage and oppression. Occultist Aleister Crowley revered her as the goddess of lust, a symbol of independence and freedom of will, a mythos echoing pre-historic times when goddess-reverent cultures were supposedly reflected in matriarchal societies. These thoughts are especially poignant for me now as I start the journey towards becoming a single mother by choice.
