Earlier today, I was a guest on @foxnews to talk about the sanctions filed against me and three other U.S. officials by the Chinese government. The imposed visa ban is in response to my years of work raising the alarm about human rights abuses in China including my work against forced abortion, against attacks on persons of faith, and against human trafficking (China is a Tier 3—the worst—country), and my recent work on behalf of Uyghur Muslims and the democracy movement in Hong Kong. This is what bullies do—and make no mistake (Chinese President) Xi Jinping is a bully. He is using force against the people of China and now Hong Kong. In no way will this diminish what I do, and in many ways, its causing me to want to do even more. If the Chinese government resorts to naming and bullying Members of Congress, think of what it is doing to Uyghur Muslims held in Chinese internment/reeducation camps.
