Yesterday the @theleachpottery released a limited edition run of 100 Yunomi to celebrate their Centenary. Yunomis are my favourite pottery object to make and to collect. As a maker they are the perfect vehicle to explore techniques and aesthetics and express yourself, your thoughts and interests. As a collector they are an affordable way of buying work by potters you admire and they are such tactile objects to pick up and admire and they are fully functional pieces of Art. I was poised ready for the release at midday yesterday and was lucky enough to get my favourite Yunomi from the 100. - Stoner Engineering Failure 2. Trying to make a ceramic version of a glass on glass/ ground glass fitting. Clay shrinks as it dries, so when I tried to fit the bowl to the stem, this happened. Ended up sanding the stem down and will fuse the bowl to it with glaze.

- Stoner Engineering Success. Mostly. 2nd attempt at a ceramic glass on glass style stem and bowl. Pretty perfect. Good seal. No complaints. But why did I put a carb hole in? My plan is to let the carb hole fill with glaze and seal it off. And knock the price down.
