Day 22: #Chandragup Mud Volcano is live and bubbling, is relatively easily reachable 8 kilometers from #Makran Coastal Highway. It’s called “volcano” but it is not inevitably related to the distinctive volcanic activity. It only erupts out mud along with methane gas. There are three mud volcanoes at #Chandragup, which is located in #Hingol National Park. The highest volcano is 100 meters. Date Taken: August 3, 2019 - @balochistanlandofbeauty on Instagram

# Lesson 33: There are creatures among us / “The creatures I have sent to their God are not men. They abdicated the right to the name by committing acts of inhuman savagery so that they cannot even count themselves among Gods beasts. For even the beasts have better reason for what they do- and so have I. If those be men, I rank myself gladly with the animals.” - Rebecca Ashe / There are creatures that masquerade as humans all around us. Thieves, cheats, liars, murderers, politicians, terrorist, con-men, creatures that will attack humans physically or mentally simply for their own gain or to further their agenda. / Be wary and strong enough to weather their attempts to take from you or harm you. But do not let their existence tarnish your view of humanity, because they are not human. / For even though there is much evil and negativity in our midst there is still greatness in our fellow man. Find the greatness. Gather great people into your fold. Create a place, a community that attracts greatness. / Be true to your values. Always seek and show people the truth. If you do, the truth seekers will find you. / PC:@lisa.boshard #dogshavebrains #dyask9 #workingdogsofinstagram #dutchshepherd #malinois #savage #work #fitness #training #sportingdogsarenotworkingdogs #k9 #saltlakecity - @dyas_k9 on Instagram
Today is World Rabies Day. This deadly disease impacts both humans and wildlife. We acknowledge this day by raising awareness about why and how to prevent the spread of this deadly zoonotic disease. Rabies was first diagnosed in South Africa in 1893. In 2007, after an absence of nearly 30 years, rabies re-emerged in the Ehlanzeni District (particularly Nsikazi & Bushbuckridge) bordering the Greater Kruger National Park. While preventable, rabies results in near 100% fatality in humans and is a serious public health concern. Rabies can also transfer from domestic animals to wildlife and can have severe impacts on populations of Endangered species like African Wild Dogs, where it can easily wipe out an entire pack. Our first line of defence is to vaccinate domestic dogs to eliminate the disease in these reservoir hosts. However, due to the rapid reproduction of domestic dogs, this is not always feasible. Therefore, we routinely vaccinate African Wild Dogs during relocation and reintroduction operations. We may also vaccinate packs that are at higher risk of encountering domestic dogs. We have worked with partners to deploy targeted vaccination of individual Wild Dogs in the Greater Kruger National Park and as part of the Wild Dog range expansion project. 71 Wild Dogs (41 males & 30 females) from 22 packs received the initial vaccine, and 62 animals from 21 packs received secondary vaccinations. Follow us to see how the EWT’s Carnivore Conservation Programme is working to protect Africa’s iconic carnivores! #protectingforevertogether #EWTCarnivores #wilddogconservation #paintedwolves @richard_bosman_joburg @paintedwolfwines @oak_foundation @theboucherlegacy @wildwonderfulworld @wilddogzburger @nkombe_rhino @hoedspruit_spar_ @investec #wolf #endangeredspecies #carnivores #dogsofinstagram #paintedwolf #africanwilddog #painteddog - @endangeredwildlifetrust on Instagram
