💊💉 It’s a new and unsettling feeling to have my body fail me, but it’s a feeling I have become accustomed to over the past year. As a result of my time in Indonesia I have been battling chronic stomach illness and constant lethargy. Through countless doctor’s appointments to address my stomach problems I discovered a tumor. Two weeks ago I had surgery to remove a tumor in my neck. My parathyroid gland had grown to 50 times it’s usual size and was throwing off my blood chemistry. It has been growing for years but I only recently found it. I praise God that the surgery was successful and that my recovery is going smoothly. As my body remains broken I am forced to question why I am not being healed. Does God have some lesson in humility or dependence for me to learn? Or is God much more passive, allowing a sinful world to play out unchecked? 23 years ago, Jesse Teichelman was flown from Perth to Melbourne just days after he was born, to receive lifesaving heart surgery at The Royal Children’s Hospital. Born with a congenital heart disease known as truncus arteriosus, Jesse’s little heart had only one artery instead of two, meaning that blood wasn’t being pumped to the right places. After a 19 hour surgery in his first days of life, Jesse received a replacement artery and valves in his heart, which has now helped him live a mostly-normal life. My little 4 year old boy Gideon was really looking forward to seeing his heroes (especially superheroes and star wars characters, but he loves all costumed characters) at MCM Birmingham. Very sadly, he wont be attending, as he has just been diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in his head. He has been through successful neurosurgery this week as a first step, and faces a long and uncertain journey of chemotherapy and radiology. His morale is especially lifted by videos saying Get well soon Gideon as he believes (due to an episode of Hey Duggee) it helps him to get well. Childhood cancer patients are Dana-Farber’s littlest heroes, and for #ChildhoodCancerAwarenessMonth they played this part to the fullest during the Jimmy Fund Clinic’s first Superhero Virtual Slumber Party. Tuning in with their families by Zoom, 33 pediatric patients and siblings got flying lessons from Superman, web-spinning tips from Spiderman, went on a “Look and Find” hunt with Wonder Woman, and made green slime with The Hulk. Many patients dressed like superheroes themselves during the Sept. 3 event, and the clinic supplied each family with kits including a cape and mask, web slinger, slime, Captain America shield, and other goodies. Все остальные пункты - чистая правда! Бумажное Шоу существует с 1997 года! The plastic pollution in our water is out of control, beaches are trashed and were not taking care of the marine/ ocean life! The beauty of nature being abused by those who think that man-made materials can decay in a couple of years or... those who just dont care. Its irresponsible and ignorant. Be respectful and care for our oceans, our land and of course our animals. The more we trash our land were only setting our childrens future up to clean up after us OR to just ignore it and continue to not care. Teach our children to respect whats left of this beautiful earth 🌎 and to improve the way we live. My dad died on this day 2 years ago. Grateful always for his love and respect for his lifelong fortitude. Because we want our families to know who we are before they die, #repeal377a. Because our families want to know too, but they are confused, misled, and ashamed. This photo was taken by my boyfriend GH when he visited my dad in the hospital. Im so glad that my dad, who had welcomed us to stay with him on our past three visits, saw GH again before he died. This is an extremely private photo that I had never intended to share publicly. I know my dad was proud of me in the end: GH saw his eyes gleam with pride when I told him about my new book. But I also know that he couldnt help wishing I were not gay. BA, From the bottom of my heart all I can say is thank you. From a body guard, To a Road Manager, To a Best Friend, To a second Father. Throughout the last 10 years our relationship has evolved like this. You were my back bone, We traveled countless hours in Cars, Trains, Buses, and Planes. We started together doing shows at little festivals to doing Kiss 108 concert for 20,000 people. You were the one constant that I could always count on and you never once stopped believing in me. “Keep On Keeping On”, “Keep It Moving” were the phrases that you always used. In the Music business you connected me with everybody that you knew, Anything to help me move forward. You also introduce me to some of the best people I know personally and I’ve made friends that I will forever have. We did it all and I couldn’t have done it without you. The Music was only one part of us though, Birthdays, Holidays, Vacation get aways, Wrestling On Sunday’s, Even staying at my house for a week at a time just so we could keep each other company and laugh. As pivotal as you were to my Music Career I have now realized that it was never about the Music, We were put together to be in each others lives for a greater purpose. That reason was too create a forever bond and have everlasting memories that would bring us joy. You were my protector and guardian angel physically and now you will be spiritually. I stayed by your side almost everyday in the last 12 days. We got to Reminisce, Laugh, Cry, and just be with each other. It was time that God had given us and I will never forget how special it was. You told me how proud you were and that you still believe! You said that you will always be with me. You said that if I ever need you too just look over my shoulder and you’d be there. We visited @bgcnorthcounty yesterday to see our grant dollars in action! The Health District funds the Summer Water Safety Program, which typically runs from June through mid-August. This year, the program was pushed back a few weeks as a result of COVID-19.🌊 All members of the water safety program must engage in 30 minutes of swim lessons and water safety each day. These lessons teach members how to swim efficiently, avoid accidental drowning, and how to perform safe water rescues by remembering to reach or throw, dont go.🏊♂️ This year the program looks a little different than it has in years past. The amount of members allowed in the pool has decreased significantly and all members maintain six feet of social distancing at all times. Additionally, the lifeguards wear masks throughout the entire lesson. During the group lessons, lifeguards remain on the deck.⛱ Pictured in the first photo is lifeguard Jake Baker and Ayto Ezawa who is working on refining his breast stroke kick technique! But at 3:37 am December 31st our beautiful daughter Penelope decided to turn our frowns upside down and decided to make her presence a week early.
