Did you know you can literally be chemically addicted to your stressful thoughts? Stress releases adrenaline and cortisol into the bloodstream, both energy mobilizers. So some of us use stressful thoughts to keep us going during the day, to keep life interesting, just like a drug addiction. And I just want to be a reminder: Just because we have stressful thoughts doesn’t mean we have to just stay there! We can CHOOSE to call bullshit on those thoughts every single time. And CHOOSE a thought that is more high vibration. And when you’re living that high vibe life, you don’t need that energy boost. We love to make up juicy stories in our minds that bring all sorts of suffering and limitation. But we can just as easily use that mental energy to make up stories that bring us peace and empowerment. The power of choice is something we get to practice all day long. Keep choosing not to believe your stressful thoughts (you have your clutch go-to’s! Money, work, relationships...) and replace it with a positive (gratitude is a great place to start!) and watch your entire mindset change into a new person. It’s a pretty rad little magic trick, and it’s available to all of us, all day, every day. Take responsibility over your own mind. wow. one year later, july 2019 to july 2020. 🦋. i cant believe i felt i had to get my body get that thin, that unhealthy. 🦋. and to people going through ed recovery it’s not easy, it’s not an over night change, it takes time, it takes continuous effort, it takes challenges. 🐛🦋. like a butterfly: they have to grow they cover themselves in a cocoon and then they become beautiful, stronger, the butterfly they were suppose to be. that is how i felt coming through this, a year later. 🦋🐛. this was hard, there was multiple times i felt so hopeless. there’s times where i felt lost. that’s normal, that’s the ed voice trying to pull you back in. please PLEASE do not let it win. it’s not worth it. 🦋. yes, i may weigh more from the picture on the left to the right but i am more confident and feel so much more comfortable speaking and seeing people. yes my face is fuller but i am able to hold more laughs & longer smiles. yes, my stomach may be thicker but that is from memories with family and friends. yes, my arms are stronger but i can hold my 10 month old half brother longer yes, my thighs now touch each other, but that doesn’t bother me anymore 🦋. i learned a lot over this year. i learned a lot of my mind. i learned a lot of not letting food dictating my life. i learned love and endless support of others. i learned more about my life and how strong i became over this journey. 🦋💗. thank you for all the endless support, thank you for all the people i met on here. to anyone who needs needs a supporting hand, please reach out, i am here for you and so many other people are here to help.💗💗 . #edrecoverywarrior #edrecovery #edrecoveryjourney #healthyliving #weightgain #stronger #anarecovery #recovery #warrior #happier - @journeyofally on Instagram
