Of course it’s inevitable that there will be disputes and minor arguments but in general this little gem of mine is like a second mum to Liahna. She takes the responsibility of taking care of Liahna willingly and wouldn’t have it any other way. She likes to contribute and share her hands helping around the house. I think we can all agree (judging from the stories I post) that her personality is just blooming with character.⠀ ⠀ Recently I have been concerned with her level of education and hoping that ‘am I doing enough for her to thrive?’ I mean we all want the best of our child/ren right? Especially when it comes to their education and learning and I found myself doing putting pressure on myself to ensure she stays ahead of the game. A contradiction to my parenting ethos. What on earth was I thinking?!!!!! Riley kid Caleb Kinnairds mom shared this with us: Today, on the 7th anniversary of his Heart Day, my son, as a brave survivor, stood up in front of his classmates and shared the story of his heart transplant. He showed pictures from his time in the hospital, and pictures of his ongoing involvement with Riley Hospital as a “Riley kid. His teacher sent me this picture of Caleb speaking, and I thought my heart would burst with pride and thankfulness. Our story is FULL of so many triumphs, so many weathered storms, with a constant thread of God’s loving presence. Pablo, su padrastro, se enojó, golpeó a la menor, abusó de ella y la mató. Él y Yadira, su madre, tomaron su cuerpo y lo abandonaron en el municipio de Nezahualcóyotl, en el Estado de México. El 18 de marzo de 2017 vecinos del lugar hallan el cadáver. El cuerpo de Lupita vestía una sudadera color verde, una playera lila con un hada de Disney y calcetas rojas. Las autoridades no pudieron identificar a la menor, quien mostraba maltrato físico y sexual. Nadie reclamó el cuerpo de la niña de las calcetitas rojas. Activistas solicitaron un retrato (foto de arriba) hablado de la víctima para localizar a sus familiares. Las autoridades difundieron el rostro y las características de la víctima. Al desconocer su nombre, siete meses después, las autoridades la llamaron Angelita. Sus restos fueron enterrados en el Parque Memorial de Naucalpan. Tras nueve meses de investigación, el fiscal de Justicia del Estado de México, Alejandro Gómez Sánchez, informó sobre la detención de los padres, quienes golpeaban y maltrataban a la menor constantemente. Un juez sentenció a 88 años de prisión a Yadira y a Pablo por el delito de feminicidio. Im literally stuck in my chair with loads of editing for days (which Im actually happy about after a long vacation 🙈). ¿Pueden los niños levantar pesas? Y si es así, ¿desde que edad? Si señoras y señores los niños no solo pueden levantar pesas sino que es lo recomendable antes del inicio de las actividades aeróbicas. Pero como? Y los núcleos de osificación? Miren chicos, la realidad es que hay estudios que dicen que no solamente hacer pesas desde una temprana edad genera mejor calidad muscular, y aumenta la resistencia en los huesos porque mejora el trabeculado oseo. El tema es que el programa de entrenamiento debe seguir unos pasos: 🏋 Principio de progresión: esto significa que hay que aumentar el peso? No. Significa que las cargas deben variar progresivamente de acuerdo al requerimiento físico del niño Y el requerimiento de TIEMPO del niño. No se puede pretender que un niño de 7 años haga una hora de gimnasio. 🏋Principio de regularidad: como el objetivo de un entrenamiento bien organizado es el desarrollo corporal en el tiempo, no la velocidad, lo mas importante es inculcar el sostenimiento de la actividad en el tiempo 🏋principio de sobrecarga: recordar que el entrenamiento de resistencia es desafiar al tejido para crear un musculo de calidad con correcta fuerza 🏋principio de creatividad: los entrenamientos con niños dependen de la imaginación del docente para mantener interesados a los niños y variar las actividades para volver los movimientos lo mas funcionales posibles, porque después de todo queremos que los niños desarrollen buenos hábitos 🏋 principio de socialización: la actividad deportiva en los niños debe ser parte se una rutina saludable que incluye compartir con los demás 🏋principio de disfrute: la actividad deportiva no puede ser forzada si lo que se busca es que los niños desarrollen buenos hábitos de vida 🏋principio de supervisión: la actividad física en los niños no puede hacerse como en los adultos, no puede motivarse a los gritos a un niño y es necesario que el que de las actividades físicas sea alguien con conocimientos de anatomía, biomecánica y fisiología porque las progresiones de las cargas a cualquier edad lesionan. Montana is grappling with a COVID spike. Since the pandemic began, we have never faced numbers like this. A staggering 333 new cases were reported in Montana today. Over the past week, there have been an average of 221 new cases per day, an increase of 97 percent from the average two weeks prior. According to Stacey Anderson, lead epidemiologist at the Department of Public Health and Human Services, last week saw a 90% increase over the prior week in the number of cases among school-age children. The number of schools with COVID cases rose to 121, from 58 last week. Gallatin County has the second highest total number of cases in Montana behind Yellowstone County. Much of the recent increase in COVID-19 cases in Montana comes from six counties — Deer Lodge, Flathead, Missoula, Roosevelt, Rosebud and Yellowstone. Our Tribal communities are also experiencing tragic spikes. New restrictions have been put in place by The Northern Cheyenne Tribal Council - a weekend lockdown from Friday to Monday to attempt to slow the spread of the virus. 🦷 20 perfect little teeth confirmed by our dentist ✔️ My 3 year old had his routine dental check up yesterday and it went so well! 🙌🏽 I was slightly worried as the first couple visits when he was younger ended in tears - he was quite reluctant to let the dentist look in his mouth or use any instruments. Now that he’s older & understands more, I was keen to make this experience a fun, relaxed and positive one so that he has no fear of going back! 🤞🏽 We’ve had our fair share of “I don’t want to brush my teeth” tantrums, but over the last year he’s brushed his teeth with minimal drama - most of the time anyway! ⬇️ These are things we’ve tried and do to make brushing teeth fun but important: ✔️I let him brush his teeth in the morning, under my supervision, and then I quickly do a once over. Bedtime brushing is mummy’s job! ✔️He brushes with daddy - role modelling is always a good way for littlens to see and copy us. ✔️I sing a short “brush” song 3 times to try and get a couple minutes of brushing time in before he loses patience/interest 🎤 ✔️We bought him an age appropriate electric toothbrush as he said ours were “cool”. ✔️Character themed anything usually works wonders - Paw Patrol one here is going strong! ✔️I show him 2-3 appropriate toothpastes when shopping and let him pick one. A big boy moment for him! ✔️I bought a couple “visiting the dentist” books - obviously this included a Peppa Pig one! 📚 ❌We never make the dentist sound scary - “if you don’t brush your teeth, the dentist will tell you off!” ❗️FUNNY MOMENT: he walked in all excited, sat down and said “but you’re not an elephant!” Cheers Peppa! 😂 He was also very excited to get something to swirl around his mouth and spit just like in his books - although he did complain that it wasn’t pink! My little man walked away smiling & super chuffed with a Spider-Man sticker stuck proudly on his jumper that he showed anyone and everyone that was willing to listen to him on our quick pit stop in Waitrose! ❓Our dentist recommended a 2 minute toothbrush timer which aims to help littlens understand how long they should brush for - anyone else tried this? ✔️Booked again for April 2021! - @thepharmacistmum on Instagram

Ci siamo. Il primo giorno di scuola più difficile dal dopoguerra è arrivato. Un «d-day» carico di aspettative e tensioni. Oggi in città riapriranno le scuole di ogni ordine e grado, torneranno in classe circa 270 mila bambini e ragazzi tra Torino e provincia. Ma la campanella non suonerà alle 8 per tutti e le scuole non saranno quelle di prima. Sarà una partenza scaglionata, in orari e persino giornate diverse. C’è chi avrà lezione dalle 8 alle 10 e chi dalle 11 alle 13 o nel pomeriggio. Chi dovrà aspettare domani o anche la prossima settimana.
