Before you start your squat routine, you should 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗮 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗺-𝘂𝗽𝘀 to get your body ready. After youve mastered basic squat drills (see previous videos), you can start playing around with your mobility a little more. Internal rotation squat drills are great for priming your body for squats since they train internal rotation of your hip while performing a weight shift on the opposite side. This translates to more balance between sides during your squats, and 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 during squatting and kneeling positions. Internal rotation of the hip is essential for normal walking and exercise mechanics, 𝘀𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸! These types of motions work best before your workout, so try 10-20 reps on each side - make sure its comfortable and steer clear of any pinching in your hips.
