- I embroidered a small Hardanger blanket with wrapped webs and Maltese crosses. I used pearl yarn on Hardanger fabric. The blanket is 17 cm x 17 cm.

We love this unique shot of the Toronto Harbour in November, 1912. The photo comes from the David B. Curry fonds and shows boathouses and clubhouses along the south side of Lake Street West (a former street which ran from Yonge Street to the old John Street slip). The building on the far left is the Toronto Motor Boat Club and the next one over is the Toronto Canoe Club - if you look closely, you can see the letters TCC emblazoned across the upper storey. Were not too sure about the second from the right, but based on the 1912 city directory listing for Lake Street West, we think that it might be the Merchants Mutual Line building. The last one on the right is, of course, the Argonauts Rowing Club! If youre interested in seeing more of the harbour during this period, check out the link in our bio. Its an oblique aerial photo from 1920 that shows the harbour area bordered by Spadina Avenue, Front Street, and Bay Street. Приглядываешься к старине, чувствуешь себя эдаким чудаком-оригиналом... 🤣Множество народных образов сливается в яркое пятно в русском стиле. 🌿 Наивно думаешь, что свое родное чувствуешь . На самом деле хорошо, если на этом этапе понимаешь, к примеру, что кокошник поверх косы - несуразица😉 ⠀ ЭТАП 2. Наступает прозрение. Девиз - СКОЛЬКО ВСЕГО РАЗНОГО! Происходит это так: смакуешь тему, листаешь книги, знакомишься со знатоками - и обнаруживаешь колоссальное свое невежество🙄. И судорожно начинаешь разбираться и искать СИСТЕМУ. Яркий хоровод образов группируется в типажи. Оказывается, вариантов множество! И то, что ранее едва ли не индейцами казалось (фото 2), на самом деле, Тульская область! ⠀ Этап 3. Девиз - КАКОЕ ВСЕ ОДИНАКОВОЕ. Азартно систематизируешь знания, проверяешь систему на достоверность. Образы кажутся понятными и схожими, калссяфкация становится все более сложной. Внутри одного типа формулируешь закономерности. Какое все ПОНЯТНОЕ И ОДИНАКОВОЕ, наивно думаешь на этом этапе... ⠀ ЭТАП 4. ИСКЛЮЧЕНИЯ ИЗ ПРАВИЛ На лаврах снова долго не усидеть: ибо вдруг внутри каждого образа проступают тонкие материи - различия нарядов соседних сел или даже концов сел, одежда, более и менее модная в зависимости от исторического периода, отличия нарядов определенных лет. Исключения, единичные непонятные предметы... Множество новых деталей вне закономерность. Probably one of the only persons who will even ever bother getting this, it was seriously a pain to get, 1000 ships.. 1 entire month spending 10hrs a day.. And ships will be even harder to find now since i bought most of them. Disappointed there is no title, considering this is at least 10x harder (made a thread on the forums about that) The sword aint that bad, but expected better for the effort spent. Thank you everyone who helped - @qwerty_fab getting tools, @aariana_gt with ships, Kitty, @ppvstar_gt for being a company, every ship seller and donors, my treehouse discord, the treehouse guild, everyone else who helped through other ways. I still dont know why I did this considering I know its unbalanced, and I do hope they add something better to it, I was looking up to it as a long term achievement/challenge like Dr (especially that it was released alongside a title update.. how misleading..)
