A range of symptoms that accompany migraine are reversible. They all relate to the 12 cranial nerves that come in and out of the brainstem. As the brainstem becomes hypersensitive it amplifies the response from these nerves. For example, our senses (smell, sight & hearing) become exaggerated & amplified, to the point where they are uncomfortable. Hence the desire to be in a dark, quiet room. The Vagus nerve, which goes to the heart, lung and stomach, creates issues such as nausea and vomiting, as it stops the stomach from absorbing food and drink as it normally would.
