INTERNATIONAL CHAMPAGNE CHARITY AUCTION FOR THE AUSTRALIAN BUSHFIRES Our great friend and fellow Champagne lover @mikewwong is generously donating some of his most prized bottles of Champagne to raise money for the Australian Bushfire relief fund. Highlights include the 1995 Dom Pérignon White Gold jeroboam, valued upwards of $15k AUD (pictured). Some amazing magnums and even Jeroboams of Krug Vintage and Perrier Jouët Belle Èpoque. Some good karma Champagne unicorns! This disaster has captured a lot of international media but directly affected our community in the Adelaide Hills, destroying vineyards, livestock, property and taking lives. Our home, Australia has been ravaged by this disaster which has engulfed large portions of the county. I personally had to evacuate the vineyard and property on Dec 20th as the bushfire front came through our region, missing us by only 2 kms. Check out @mikewwong page for the auction details. And thanks to the houses and donors to this amazing cause. They are listed below. 100% of the funds will be donated to the Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal and in particular their Disaster Resilience and Recovery Fund, which makes grants to local not-for-profit groups for community-led projects that address the most pressing needs that emerge 12-18 months after a disaster event. In this case, it will be the horrific bushfires that have decimated Australia these last few months. We turned to the Coopers Brewery archives to form the foundations of the Coopers Alehouses brand. Old ads, graphics and photographs informed what would become a contemporary new look. From an early 20th-century beer label, the logo and typeface were born. Sparkling Bold is based on the lettering of vintage Coopers labels. Band worked with renowned type designer Dave Foster to create this unique font.
