Another interesting project I worked on was Hollow Man.  I was lead on a small crew that made replacement medical equipment for the lab explosion scenes.  I guess the rental company they got them from wanted them back whole.  So a few of us worked in the old Sony Mill for a few weeks making copies of pretty much everything you see in the first pic.  The next one shows the only pic of my work I have from the movie.  A high end microscope of some sort.  Vacuum forms and simple castings were the rule for this job.  Brandon Seifert builds an exam bed.  It all goes by fast in the explosions.   A few frame grabs show that.  The last couple pics show the aftermath with some of our work still/sorta intact.  That was a good gig.  Lots of money and union 10 hour days.  They had 3 full meals available through out the day.  I gained weight.  I took ice cream home to the Mrs. from the catering truck.  Also, we stuck around the night of the explosions.  They were too powerful, someone messed up.  The last explosion damaged the stage wall.  We stood there, outside the stage, and watched a long crack and bulge appear on the outside of the building when it went off.  Crazy and good times! . . . . #kevinbacon #elizabethshue #hollowman #invisibleman #invisible #greenscreen #practicaleffects #prop #propmaker #sony #sonypictures #themill #craftsman #medicalequipment #labrat #lab #scientist #explosion #pyrotechnics #baddayattheoffice #setlife #fake #faux #onthelot #wip #behindthescenes #insuranceclaim #craftservice #union #local44 - @circa1964 on Instagram
