The 35mm film is the result of 18 southern filmmakers capturing their impression of the south in the fall of 1995. Swipe to see the article from the Georgia Film Newsletter and hear the backstory! (See link in our bio for the whole project.) 70 Southern Directors submitted their reels. 18 Directors were chosen. They selected their own crews. In one 24 hour period that shot in 27 cities and 134 locations across the South. The script was written by Mark Johnson. Johnny Cash recorded the narration in Fort Worth.
