When the family pleaded with the cops in UP to hand over their daughters body to them for the last rites they were refused. If that’s not SHOCKING what is? If this does not deserve extreme outrage what does? Am posting the retarded sick comments on twitter I received for my post to prove what a sick depraved society India has become. Williamson County Sheriff Robert Chody was indicted Monday on charges of tampering evidence in the case of Javier Ambler, a 40-year-old Black man who died in custody last year. The indictment accuses @sheriffchody of destroying footage that showed deputies chasing and using force against the Pflugerville resident that was captured for the reality TV show Live PD in March 2019. Jason Nassour, former general counsel with the county attorneys office, faces the same charge. Chody was booked and released after posting a $10,000 bond. His indictment was first reported by the @statesman. Deputies J.J. Johnson and Zach Camden chased Ambler for 22 minutes for allegedly failing to dim his headlights to oncoming traffic. When they caught Ambler, they used tasers on him four times, though he protested that he had a heart condition and could not breathe. He died shortly after. The deputies are under investigation. A few weeks ago I asked for a plan from @danielandrewsmp Sadly what we received was a plan for eradication that he refers to as aggressive suppression. Not a balanced plan to reopen our economy while also dealing with the vulnerable. Call it what you want almost every expert has raised serious concerns that your plan is too harsh and unachievable based on global evidence. This week many respected experts and community leaders have expressed their views that the draconian lockdowns and curfews and unattainable targets will do more wide spread damage that the virus it’s self. I feel genuinely that @danielandrewsmp is desperately trying to do what he thinks is best. I and most Victorians want to defeat this Virus and save lives however we can’t have a scorched earth policy driven by one individual that harms more the it protects. I feel Mr Andrews all or nothing plan is driven by his fear of failure after so many disasters such as the quarantine debacle and the lack of contract tracing resources. He has now clearly overreached in order regain the political high ground. Mr Andrews @danielandrewsmp we don’t care that mistakes were made. What we all want is for you to listen to those that want to help. Listen to the experts and community leaders. Your one man show won’t get you to where you so desperately want to be. Your spin and disregard for consultation and the crushing of Victorians democratic rights just make the job of dealing with this crisis that much harder. This fight can only be won with the strength and know how of the community. Please listen and let’s bring Victoria back from the brink while still saving lives. We can do both. Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf put forth a fall legislative agenda on Tuesday that advocates for the legalization of recreational marijuana, including a tax that would support historically disadvantaged businesses hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic. The governor outlined a plan urging state legislators to send him a recreational marijuana bill in the months ahead, with proceeds intended to supplement Pennsylvanias existing small business grant funding and restorative justice programs. Wolf also said he wants the state to spend the remaining $1.3 billion in federal coronavirus funds received through the CARES Act earlier this year. A large portion of these funds would extend hazard pay grants for front line workers and expand loans and grants for small business recovery. “House and Senate Democrats have been fighting for progress to protect families and businesses in these spaces since the beginning of the pandemic, but they have been stopped at every turn by the Republican majority focused on ignoring the public health crisis,” Wolf said in a statement. “That must stop now. The legislature must come back and take immediate steps to provide funding to frontline workers and businesses, put in place protections for families and our workforce, and make these commonsense reforms that can provide confidence in our government. Pennsylvanians need relief, they need reform, and they need it now.” The call for marijuana legalization is the strongest yet from Wolf, who announced last September that he would support the idea. In previous years, Wolf had been resistant to marijuana legalization in Pennsylvania, claiming the state wasnt actually ready for such a shift in policy. Pennsylvanias medical marijuana program, launched in 2016, has grown exponentially since its inception and further accelerated during the coronavirus pandemic. In the six month span between February and August, roughly 100,000 Pennsylvania residents registered for a medical marijuana card. Total sales surged from about $415 million since the start of the program to about $789 million over the past six months of growth.
