📖And Now She’s Gone - Rachel Howzell Hall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ . . Ive been in a weird reading funk with other things going on in my life and it took me 4 days to finish this book. If you know me, Im a one-sit binge reader. So many shiny things and my own brain seemed to have plotted against me because I absolutely LOVED this book and am mad I took so damn long to finish it! But I DID - so YAY, SUCCESS!! Grayson, Im sending you a crate of pens. Im never naming my dog Kenny G. And, I want to put on record that while Mrs. Kim, the Korean old lady, may have always cooked Korean food that smelled musky, not ALL Korean food smells like this! Haha - Im mostly kidding, because there were definitely times I felt like my parents house smelled like a musky ox so I totally understand how even more terrible this can be for people not used to it! All jokes aside.... I really LOVE Grayson. The further I got into this book, the more my heart went out to her. What a strong ass woman. And the case that shes on..... WHAT... THE .... FUCK. Im 85% in the book and I STILL have no clue what is going on or what direction its going in but I also am finding Isabel a genius of a woman herself. Cat, meet mouse.... a worthy opponent. GIMME! The build up that leads to the reveal is brilliant. I will say that I found some of the metaphors used within the writing a bit odd at times... but mostly I found them humorous and took them more as a nod to Graysons personality, and as such, appreciated the uniqueness of it all. I did notice that the text messaging could be a little hard to follow at times due to the lack of differentiation in font and format most of the time. It did not take away from the enjoyment of the novel however. Ill be honest, I was hovering between a 3.5 and 4 star review throughout my read but when that ending came and the culmination of everything that was set up throughout the story erupted, I nodded and was like MMM HMMM..... THATS IT! YES! So yeah, absolutely bumping up to this 5 star ramble of a review. I really need to know what happens next though - WILL THERE BE A SEQUEL? ✨ E se o Harry Potter e o Malfoy se apaixonassem? 📖 Carry On, Rainbow Rowell - 4,5 ⭐️ + ❤️ 📖 Segundo a profecia, Simon Snow é o escolhido para salvar o mundo dos bruxos. Estudando em uma escola de magia, seu ano está sendo desastroso e ele precisa conciliar a sua missão com lidar com sua ex namorada e investigar o sumiço de Baz, o seu arqui-inimgo. Essa história te lembra alguma coisa? Pois é, ela é uma fanfic de Harry Potter e o casal é inspirado em nada mais do que Harry e Malfoy 😱 Eu não consigo imaginar essa junção na história original, mas me apaixonei pelo Simon e Baz. Comecei Carry On com a expectativa nas alturas, por ser escrito como se fosse a fanfic da protagonista de Fangirl, um livro que amei. No começo, me decepcionei e as primeiras 150 páginas foram difíceis, mas depois mudou da água para o vinho. A história melhora totalmente quando Baz apareceu e se tornou meu personagem preferido. Primeiro de tudo, ele é um vampiro e a crepusculete que habita em mim surtou 🥰 Segundo, sua personalidade é um misto de vilão bad boy com garoto romântico e eu amo isso. Aos poucos a “casca” dele vai caindo e vamos descobrindo que ele é fofo. Também gostei muito do Simon, o protagonista, que no início me irritava, mas depois me apeguei a ele e aos outros personagens. A Penny, versão da Hermione, é incrível, mas isso já era de se esperar, né? 🤓 O universo construído pela autora me encantou. No começo eu ficava comparando e achando inferior a Harry Potter. Com o tempo, vamos percebendo as características próprias desse livro e foi uma experiência muito boa ver o mundo dos bruxos por outro ângulo. Esse livro foi minha leitura para o #leitorbilingue de Julho. Senti um pouco de dificuldade por ser inglês britânico, mas fui me acostumando e com o tempo começou a fluir melhor. 𝒬: If you could read your current read from the perspective of any side character, who would you pick? How do you think it would change the story? • Lately I’m posting a lot of TBR pictures simply because I don’t read as much so I can’t give reviews. These are the books I am most excited to read soon! Maybe even before the end of the year! • I do notice myself feeling bad for not reading “enough” and that’s pretty toxic. I think bookstagram and bookish sites in general can put a lot of pressure on the amount of books we read and also value quantity over quality. I have read a CRAZY amount of books already this year, and upon reaching my goodreads goal I noticed that it really doesn’t matter so much. The more I read the more I WANT to read. Because normally I’d say reading 4 books so far this month is a LOT, but now that I read 20 books in some months it suddenly seems very little. But I need to stop pressuring myself and realise school is hard. School is stressful and exhausting and it’s okay if that is all I can focus on. Sometimes I just don’t even feel like I want to read and I want to feel more okay with that. So long story but my point is, read as much as you want to read and even if you don’t read (m)any books for a while, it’s okay. • I also have made a rule not to buy books this month and so far it’s working! İnsanların çoğu kez tam gözlerinin önündekini görmemeleri çok ilginç. 🕸️10/10🕸️ Örümcek Ağı // #kitapyorumu Dışişlerinde gelecek vaat eden saygın bir diplomatın karısı olan Clarissa sürekli düş kurmakta, varsayımlar üretmektedir. Yine bir gün, “Aşağıya indiğimde kütüphanede bir ceset bulursam ne yaparım?” diye düşünür. Ve sonunda ne yapacağını görme şansını yakalar, bir ceset bulur… hem de evinin salonunda. Onu ortadan kaldırma çabası içinde, evindeki konuklardan kendisine destek vermelerini ve suç ortağı olmalarını ister. Ancak tam da cesedi yok edip, katili araştırma çabalarına giriştikleri sırada bir polis müfettişi çıkagelir ve bu gizem dolu olayların başlangıcı olur. 🕷️🕷️ İlk başlarda birazcık sıksa da sonradan inanılmaz açılıyor ve bir anda kendinizi gizemli ve heyecanlı bir ortamda buluyorsunuz. Tek düşündüğünüz şey ise katilin kim olduğu. Usta yazar Agatha Christie karşısında katili bulmanız biraz zor olacak tabii ki. Açıkcası ben katili tahmin edememiştim. Pek de bir fikrim yoktu ama okuduğum diğer Agatha Christie kitabından yola çıkarak katili öğrenince şaşıracağımı biliyordum. Hatta katil sevdiğim bir karakter çıktı. Kime güveneceğimi iyi seçmeliyim 😂 🕸️🕸️ Kitap sadece tek bir mekanda ve tek bir günde geçiyor. Fakat bu sizi hiç sıkmıyor çünkü saatler oldukça heyecanlı bir şekilde akıp gidiyor. Karakterleri de oldukça sevdim. Özellikle Clarissayı. Çok hoş bir karakterdi. Kendi öz kızı olmamasına rağmen Pipayi sahiplenmesi ve koruması beni çok etkiledi. Aynı zamanda çok zeki bir kadın karakterdi. 🕸️🕸️ Kesinlikle okumanızı öneririm. 1-2 günde sıkılmadan bitirebileceğiniz bir kitap. Özellikle polisiye seviyorsanız sizin için harika bir seçenek olacaktır. Ya da Agatha Christie okumak istiyor hangi kitapla başlayacağınızı bilmiyorsanız bunu okuyabilirsiniz. Benim ilk okuduğum kitap Güvercinler Arasında Bir Kediydi. Çok sevmiştim.
