В 99% случаев нет. С этой жалко было расставаться. Кстати, уже история. Брусчатка была напротив метро Баррикадная и несколько лет назад сфотографирована мной, во время Прогулки. Эта плитка смогла пережить революцию и войну, но не смогла пережить собянинских плиточников. So I had the best day out hunting in my 25 years of metal detecting. 1758 french and indian war encampment near lake George. 36 musket balls in one hole, a complete shoe buckle frame, the handle of a 2 prong fork with the bone scales intact, a 1735 king george copper and the mother of all finds a round poll tomahawk. Today is celiac awareness day! I am pretty aware of celiac every day, but I’m learning how to talk about it better. . 1 in every 100 people in the US had celiac, and more than that have an intolerance of some kind. It’s more common in people of Italian and Irish descent. Everybody’s looks different, but if I have even a tiny amount of gluten, I puke like a fire hydrant, and it hurts for literally a week after. You’re welcome for that visual. I could be taken down by one crouton, for real 😂 . Undiagnosed and untreated celiac can lead to really scary things in the future, so if you feel something is off, ask your doctor! They can do an initial screening with a simple blood test. . As for me, I got diagnosed at 24 and I feel like I’m finally getting the hang of it. I’m getting better at asking for what I need, at not being embarrassed about my bizarre dietary requirements. My husband and I have separate pots and pans. Most days I cook at home and eat separately (every day is a picnic with celiac! 😂). I’ve started branching out in the kitchen- I even made my own bagels this summer, they honestly came out great. And here’s a picture of me from 2017, when I found a pizza place with gf pizza right across the piazza from the Duomo in Florence. Were still hammering away at reinforcing and renewing the #SuperiorHikingTrail. The spur trail to Britton Peak was the classroom for a recent stonework training for SHTA staff, volunteers, and partners from the @u.s.forestservice. Over the course of five days, instructor Willie Bittner of @greatlakestrailbuilders led a hands-on training on how to shape, cut, move, and set stones. Our crews put these new skills to work by constructing three new staircases built to last for decades. Our deer friends just stopping by to say hi. 🦌🦌🤎 Introducing our latest creation here at The Salish Seaside Escapes: The Karen Elizabeth Rennie Memorial Wall (1958-2020). Karen was the wife of owner, Leonard Sweet, and loving mother to Thane, Soren, and Egil Sweet. Back before it was The Salish, our little escape was known as North Shore Cottages. Karen helped get the business off the ground, at times doing the cleaning, groundwork, reservations, managing, and greeting, all while raising three young kids. She was the embodiment of what it means to be a “family business”, and The Salish will forever strive towards her level of hospitality. The features of the wall include a white slate birch tree, representative of her favorite white birch tree on the property that cascades over the water. There are also two windows created from river rock, which double as bird feeders so that even in memoriam she can feed and watch the birds like she so loved to do. There are two hand-blown glass Stellar Jays, one of her favorite birds that you just might see around the grounds. The central Jay is a commissioned piece with her ashes swirled through the glass. And finally, on the backside of the wall, a hummingbird. Karen loved the hummingbirds almost as much as they loved her. During wintertime, they never left, as they knew and trusted she would always have a fresh batch of nectar for them hanging from the trees. This wall was built by the hands of Tim Kebler and Karen’s oldest son, Thane, but each Sweet family member made sure they got to place a stone or two upon the wall. There is so much to say, but sometimes words don’t do justice to the feelings a place evokes. We hope you can come visit The Salish and experience the beauty and enchantment of our little abode, and feel a gracious reception as Karen and her wall welcome you in. - @thesalish271 on Instagram

Many tough, gritty, and forward-thinking people are responsible for helping make Arizona what it is today. But would you believe me if I said the Romans were also instrumental in this? Let me explain. In order to get water to Phoenix, we must understand that water always flows downhill, except for when it doesnt. The ancient Roman engineers were the first to use this understanding on a large scale to supply water to the various reaches of Roman society. As part of their aqueduct systems they utilized inverted siphons to cross large and/or deep valleys. An inverted siphon is a closed conduit or pipe that can transport water down one side of a valley and back up the other side without a pump or any kind of mechanical device. The picture shown is one example of a Roman inverted siphon. Since that time others have used the same technology, but in getting water from the Colorado River to Phoenix and Tucson, this technology was vital. The CAP aqueduct uses inverted siphons to cross a number of rivers and washes on its 300 mile path. The Salt River Siphon is one of the most dramatic examples in the CAP. I love the picture of the siphon under construction because you can see how much higher the siphon outlet is from the Salt River. Take a look for yourselves next time you are at Granite Reef, and be sure to thank the Romans for making it possible for us to live in this great state. Completati i lavori sul Rio Bardini in corrispondenza della via Molinetto in Comune di Lizzano in Belvedere (BO). Il Rio Bardini è un corso dacqua naturale che ha origine in prossimità della Croce dei Colli a 1.225 metri di altitudine e che, circa 600 metri più a valle si immette in destra idraulica del #TorrenteDardagna. Tombinato per un tratto, per permettere la costruzione di strada Molinetto, il Rio Bardini negli ultimi anni è stato oggetto di un accumulo di rami, vegetazione, ghiaia e altro materiale solido che hanno causato l’ostruzione del transito dell’acqua con conseguenti allagamenti della strada adiacente e pregiudicando la sicurezza della sottostante frazione La Cà. L’intervento si è concretizzato nella realizzazione di un tratto di circa 20 metri di muretto in sasso per la protezione delle sponde, nel ripristino del tratto tombinato e nella costruzione di tre griglie selezionatrici di trattenuta. Sia Rio Baldini che i vicini Fosso delle Frascare e Fosso Carporo sono stati inoltre oggetto di un intervento di sfalcio selettivo della vegetazione infestante nel massimo rispetto dellequilibrio naturale, facendo sì che fosse rimossa soltanto la vegetazione pericolosa e nessun esemplare di pregio. Lintervento, messo in atto dal Consorzio della Bonifica #Burana su segnalazione del Comune di Lizzano in Belvedere e finanziato dai fondi regionali dedicati alla cura delle aree montane rientra nel programma dei lavori che il Consorzio realizza in collaborazione con le Regioni e gli Enti Locali per la protezione dal #dissestoidrogeologico. #mountain #mountainlovers #vivi_appennino #LizzanoinBelvedere - @consorziobonificaburana on Instagram

Sıradaki “Giant’s Sleep” ile ilgili: Çocukken rüyalarımda yaşadığım bir “devlik hissi” vardı. Bir an gelir yükselir, bacaklarım uzar, gövdem büyür, yavaş yavaş boyum binaların tepelerini geçer, içim içime sığmazdı. Yıkıcı bir güç hissetmekle karışmasın, daha başka tür bir güçtü bu. Sonraları, 30’lu yaşlarıma geldiğimde, çocukluğumun rüyalarındaki bu aynı his, ansızın, günün değişik anlarında, uykularda değilken de gelmeye başladı.
