Kepala Pelaksana Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) Provinsi Banten Nana Suryana mengaku akan terus melakukan upaya mitigasi. Hal itu dilakukan setelah adanya riset dari peneliti dari Institut Teknologi Banding (ITB) tentang potensi tsunami selatan Jawa mencapai 20 meter yang terbit di jurnal Nature Scientific Report. Riset ini tentunya menjadi peringatan dini sebagai bentuk kewaspadaan bagi kita semua. Khususnya yang berada di daerah Banten Selatan, karena zona rawan tsunami, kata Nana saat dihubungi Kompas.com, Senin (28/9/2020). Nana menjelaskan, potensi tsunami di wilayah Banten Selatan bisa saja terjadi. Namun upaya mitigasi terus dilakukan. Sebab, di wilayahnya terdapat megathrust yang merupakan zona tumbukan antara lempeng Indo-Australia dan Eurasia.  Kemudian pemerintah sudah melakukan pemetaan sejak terjadi tsunami akibat longsor Krakatau, sudah dipetakan daearh-daerah mana saja yang tidak boleh didirikan bangunan, jelasnya. Meski begitu, masyarakat Banten, terutama di wilayah pesisir selatan tidak perlu khawatir dan tidak usah panik. Jika panik, aktifitas masyarakat akan terganggu dan pada akhirnya menjadi ketakutan yang terus membayangi. Tentunya ini sebagai peringatan agar lebih waspada kemudian kita juga melakukan edukasi dan sosiasliasi kepada masyarakat agar tetap waspada, ungkapnya. Selama ini, pemerintah Provinsi Banten bersama kabupaten/kota sudah melakukan simulasi, menyiapkan lokasi titik kumpul, dan jalur evakuasi di sepanjang pesisir Banten. Titik lokasi evakuasi sudah ada, jika terjadi tsunami sudah secara mandiri masyarakat memanfaatkannya. Namun, jalur evakuasi itu akan selalu diingatkan, kata Nana. Ke depan, pemerintah akan melakukan simulasi bencana gempa dan tsunami kepada masyarakat dan pelaku usaha di wilayah rawan. Simulasi tahun ini atau tahun depan akan kita lakukan. Quarantine 45s New mixes up on SoundCloud . In December 2019 I finally moved all my records from a storage unit in Brooklyn to a storage unit in Los Angeles (8 years after moving myself to LA). A reasonable amount of records came to my apartment and the rest probably doomed to sit in storage for another 8 years while I stressed about finding time to organize them... and then... . As we all do our part to flatten the curve and stay inside, it’s given me a chance to actually start organizing these (and get to listen to them again), what better way for anxiety and isolation to come together then to meticulously sort 45s by genre / label / region / date etc... and figure out which fucking pressing plant made it so you make sure to put it in discogs properly... . I’ve never really been one to get too genre specific when making mixes, usually I go by the anything goes rule, but why not do something new. . Starting with 45s I broke this first set down into a soul set, early rock n’ roll (rockabilly into some garage rock etc..), and a punk-ish mix. Next week probably gonna do reggae, and maybe hardcore??? Then get into LPs https://soundcloud.com/benbrunnemer/sets/quarantine-45s Link in the bio. . Meet Vaida, Fatianca, and Querida 👋 These women are a few of the local farmers who have worked with us for many years planting coffee on Mount Gorongosa.⁠ ⁠ Vaida (left) has been with us for ten years, first as a volunteer in the rainforest reforestation project and later helping to shape the #GorongosaCoffee initiative. ⁠ ⁠ From the start, she was clear that a reforestation initiative would only be successful if it also helped local farmers feed their families. The answer, it turns out, was coffee!⁠ ⁠ Vaida was hired to run the coffee and native tree nursery at the top of Mount Gorongosas waterfall. Pennywise ‎– Nineteen Eighty Eight. Vinyl, LP, Compilation, Blue Opaque, Limited /??? 2016. Theologian Records. After talking to someone on here about another Pennywise post the other day it made me want to listen to this, my favourite thing the band ever did. And I ain’t saying that to be a poser, cos it’s probably an unpopular opinion on the band but I love these two E.P’s and it’s great they are on one 12” so you don’t have to fuck around with annoying 7’s. I don’t much like 7’s haha. It’s got the first thing they ever released ‘A Word From The Wise’ way back in 89 before they’d put out a full length & then it’s got 1992’s ‘Wildcard’ which has the legendary cover of ‘Stand By Me’. Many a night me and my friends jumped around like idiots at my long gone local punk club back in the heady 90’s to that tune 😂😂. It also has 3 extra songs from the cd comp i had back then, 1995’s ‘Tomorrow/Don’t Feel Nothing’. I just love this as it was the first thing i owned of theirs and its so different to all that followed it. It’s pretty raw compared to the slick sound the band have gotten over the years but i just love the songs. One of the sickest boogie jams of all time, far out of reach for most until now... This has been a massive floor filler and head turner Everytime weve played it and definitely garnered the most interest after running on Kool Hershs mixtape last year. The West Side of Chicagos own Mister laced up their only single (...under this band name...) back in 1983. They later changed their name to The Verdict after receiving a letter from RCA suggesting against any confusion from their new band Mr. Mister. The coolest part of this project has been getting to meet and hang here in Chicago with all the original artists. This was a crazy creative era, even for such a long established and influential musical mecca. Myself and Hersh got to hang in the studio with Chuck Roberts to chat about this project. We didnt even put it together before hand that same dude we were bugging on this largely forgotten 1983 single would only 3 years later lend his voice to an explosive worldwide musical movement that would anchor his career for the next 35+ years. Starville Records made a pivot to capitalize on the budding House Music scene with their subsidiary label Catch A Beat Records in 87. Chuck The Voice Roberts laid the vocals on their first release, Rhythm Controlls My House... Super wise move including the accapella on the 12 as its become one of the most recognizable and sampled pieces of sound in all of house music. Chicago DJs would drop the vocals over all sorts of early house tunes in their sets but it wasnt until the mashup over Fingers Incs Can You Feel It was released internationally the following year that it really began its journey as a certified classic with the rest being history... - @starcreaturevibes on Instagram
