I had been thinking of buying a Marimba One for a long time. I have always liked them, and their sound is undoubtedly excellent. A few months ago I decided and ordered a Marimba One Izzy with classic resonators, enhanced keyboard, and wood frames (along with the cases). Luckily my marimba arrived at my house yesterday. The first thing that caught my attention is how perfectly packaged they sent it to me, they did not skimp on anything so that my marimba could reach my house in the best possible way. It also came perfectly stored in the cases, which are comfortable, light, and very easy to handle! The next thing that caught my attention was the ease of ensemble it. Then followed the colors of the resonators, frames, bars…. I honestly think it is the most beautiful marimba I have ever seen!! And to finish, I leave the best, the sound. I was sure it would sound great, but I couldnt have guessed how good. From the first moment, it resonates and fills my room with a warm and pleasant sound. #tbt Estas fotos las tomé en Julio del 2005 en #sono2000 en Caracas, fue mi primer trabajo en el mundo del audio, aprendí de uno de los mejores ingenieros del país: #RicardoLandaeta Todo un genio en la materia. . Allí aprendí la base que me acompaña hasta hoy, grabar con equipos de alta gama y acústica controlada, manipular cintas de 1/4, 1 y 2”, grabar a quintetos de jazz o agrupaciones de música venezolana al mismo tiempo sin overdubs. Aquí conocí #protools 5, Adats, Dats, etc, había de todo. Aprendí a limpiar y ordenar un estudio, a servir café a los músicos, organizar los micrófonos y cables, conocí a muchos maestros y artistas cómo @oscardleon - #simondíaz - @pollobrito - @michel_eustache @eddyperezguitar - por mencionar algunos, los grabé y rápidamente entendí cómo grababa un músico de primer nivel. . A los 3 años de estar en este Disney World “para mí”, el maestro Ricardo enfermó y me tocó empezar a mezclar bajo su supervisión, básicamente yo mezclaba, quemaba un CD, se lo llevaba a su cuarto y el me corregía, para luego repetir el proceso hasta que El consideraba que estaba listo. Atesoro estos recuerdos muy bien, lamentablemente falleció y cerraron el estudio. . Celebro los 15 años de estas fotos en esta cuarentena aleccionadora. Lo increíble para mi en todo este tiempo, es que mantengo intacta la pasión de esos días, naturalmente con enfoques distintos. Definitivamente la música es la que mueve todo esto. . My parents went to school 25 years ago with a guy named Marshall. He sang backgrounds in my Mom’s final college performance. My Dad reconnected with him in the 90’s and was working at Yamaha. Marshall would send CD’s of new artists that hadn’t been released yet to our house for Christmas (John Mayer was one) so my Dad gave Marshall a custom Yamaha acoustic guitar. Marshall has used that guitar on every hit record he has done for 20 years. He and My parents lost contact shortly after my dad gave him the guitar. Fast forward to 2018, I meet my good friend @williejones. Willie tells me he’s managed by a guy named Jonnie. Turns out Jonnie worked at a label with Marshall for years, and was sending Willie’s songs to him for feedback. I was the producer on those songs. When the 3 of us made a trip to Nashville and I got to meet Marshall and tell him I was Gary and Nina’s son. When he heard that, he took us to his studio and I got to see and play the Acoustic my dad gave him 20 something years ago. Life is crazy..... - @_seancook on Instagram
