Images Modeling Troupe, Inc. mourns the loss of one of our 12 Founding Models, Mr. Klarque Garrison. Brother K. Garrison was a one of a kind, dynamic visionary who played an integral role in creating our beloved organization. He was also a key role in pulling members, past and present, together to ensure that the legacy of IMT continued to thrive year after year. This fall would have been the 35th Anniversary of him being a part of those 12 Immaculate men & women who had a love for fashion and modeling, and since those humble beginnings of IMAGES, hundreds of men & women have held membership, and many have left with a better understanding and belief in themselves and their capabilities. Klarque was also a member of The World Renowned FAMU Marching β100β where he served as a Drum Major, as well a member of the Alpha Xi Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. He was truly a giant across numerous platforms and his physical presence will forever be missed, however his legacy will forever live on! The IMT Family sends our deepest condolences to his wife, children, and all of his many family and friends. -Matthew 11:28-30- #TheImage #TheReflection #Founder #iMAGES1985 #WALKiMT #RestInPOWER Graphic Designer π»: @ahmadragland - @imagesmodelingtroupe on Instagram

Caribbean-born bare-knuckle boxer Peter Jackson poses for portraits on December 2, 1889. Photographed by London Stereoscopic Company. βͺβ’β¬ Peter βThe Black Princeβ Jackson, an outstanding professional boxer was born in St. Croix, Virgin Islands. A victim of racial discrimination, he was denied a chance to fight for the world heavyweight championship while in his prime. βͺβ’β¬ On September 25, 1886 Jackson won the Australian heavyweight championship and the British Empire title in 1892. On May 21, 1891, in San Francisco, he fought a 61-round draw with Gentleman Jim Corbett, who would later, in 1892, win the world heavyweight title from John L. Sullivan. βͺβ’β¬ On March 22, 1898, Jackson, who was 36 years old and had not fought for six years except for a few exhibition matches, was knocked out in three rounds by James Jackson Jeffries. As a consequence of this victory and his subsequent knockout of Bob Fitzsimmons on June 9, 1899, Jeffries is retrospectively considered by many to have been the first true world heavyweight champion under the Queensberry rules. - @blackhistory on Instagram
