Chholiya (छोलिया) is a dance form practised in the Kumaun region of Uttarakhand. It is basically a sword danceaccompanying a marriage procession but now it is performed on many auspicious occasions. It is especially popular in the districts ofPithoragarh, Champawat, Bageshwar andAlmora of Kumaon division and has even spread to the Garhwal division. 分隔人神之鳥居 走進日本偏僻地帶中的人間冥界 若有專屬鬼神之地，可曾幻想過會是何番風景？ 德國攝影師 Ronny Behnert，因受隨處可見的道、佛教痕跡吸引，走遍日本千葉、福岡、岩手等地，捕捉了那些散落在城市、海中心、山頂、森林的神社及鳥居。那些象徵凡人與神聖間界限的鳥居，就如冥界迷霧般，詭祕地呈現於鏡頭前。 傳說鳥居是連接神域與俗世之通道，屬「結界」的一種。其歷史相當悠久 —— 早在8世紀時，信仰自然的日本人已經會在兩棵樹木間拉繩並綁上結，乃最早期的雛形。鳥居正中央是給神明走的，因此凡人應要從左右兩邊穿過。而被廣泛運用的朱丹色，在佛教涵義中有驅魔的力量；當中的水銀成分，其實甚至兼具木材防蟲的功效。在充滿神化色彩的建築中，其實隱約蘊含科學的佐理。 Behnert本來風格偏向為清晰簡約的黑白照片，但為了增強日本文化中的極端反差，他開始利用色彩技巧，以減光鏡長時間曝光作品，使水面或天空中所有分散注意力的元素消失；曝光時間一長，照片便越清晰。這一系列極簡主義卻莫名陰森的景觀照，被取名為「Torii」（鳥居），並在2020年Sony世界攝影獎「風景組」項目中獲得冠軍。 人類對未知的鬼神、虛空有無窮無盡的臆想。在鏡頭下，迷霧中只能看見鳥居、燈塔，讓人彷如真的墮入那個神秘的結界。極玄的鳥居文化意義與真實佈局，難免讓人想起「人間道乃修行起點」。 資料來源：Ronny Behnert @haggardphotography Follow us @ellemenhk #ellemenhk #ellemendailyglow #RonnyBehnert #torii #shrine #japan #shintoism #buddhism #shirahige #minato #meotoiwa #bentenjima #matsue #natakaigan #hakuto #einootsurugi #鳥居 #神社 #日本 #道教 #佛教 #白鬚神社 #東京港區 #二見興玉神社 #弁天島 #松江神社 #奈多海岸 #白兔神社 - @ellemenhk on Instagram
