Zion was one of my favorite trips to date. What’s your favorite national park? I think Yellowstone is next on our list. If you’re going to Zion, we have a few recommendations : rent e-bikes and ride up and down the Zion scenic road rather than using the shuttle to and from the hikes. The views are insane 🤯 and stay at @cliffroselodge, It’s right on the water, right at the entrance to the park, and the rooms felt like little cabins. I am going to let y’all in on something kind of personal and a little goofy but also something really close to my heart. Ever since I was 15 I prayed for a love like a Taylor Swift song. An all consuming, dramatic, sweep-you-off-your-feet kind of love. By the time I got into my 20s it felt out of reach but I kept hold of it deep down (and yes, I still prayed for it!) 2•18•20 I found that & more when I fell in love with Dakota on the beaches of the Big Island. But I will tell you something I have learned over the last 6 months & will continue to learn in our journey ahead: fairytales are over-rated. I have experienced complete acceptance for who I am. Lots of tears & triumphs and trusting God with the future and unknowns. This is better than a fairytale, it’s real & it’s unshakable because we have made Jesus our foundation. And don’t get me wrong, we have the time of our lives! But it’s through hard work that you find true joy in relationship. Dakota is the definition of pure love and immense integrity.
