Hey there, I’m Bryce @mombrain.therapist I share about motherhood and everyday mental health. So obviously these aren’t real vacations. But sometimes what we have in this busy season of parenting (yes these are not just “mom” things) are moments where we can make the intentional choice of soaking up the alone time we find ourselves with and allowing it to replenish us until we have the opportunity for a more dedicated re-charge. Not to mention, a lot of these activities are actually basic self-care, such as scheduling our doctors appointments and not just our kids, meeting our own needs for hygiene, and utilizing supports/setting boundaries by cultivating alone time in the midst of the busy-ness. But anyways... What was your last “vacation”, that wasn’t really a vacation...but kind of felt like one? Mine? This isn’t recent, but after my second child was born I had to have a ton of dental work done due to how sick I was in both pregnancies. We had to do these short 1 hour increments because my baby wouldn’t take a bottle, so I went every other week for months. Now, I do not generally enjoy the dentist, but I looked forward to those appointments! How cool is that? * There are more than 700 species of eucalyptus! * Eucalyptus can survive for more than 250 years! WOW!! * Eucalyptus is produced by steam distilling the tree leaves! Three Types of Eucalyptus are: 1. Eucalyptus Blue - This type originates in Ecuador and has a very herbaceous spicy smell to it. This one can be found in Young Livings Breath Again Roll-On which is amazing! Highly recommend it! Convenient and anyone with a nose could use it! 2. Eucalyptus Globulus- This one originates in China and has a very bold rich eucalyptus aroma. This one can be found in Young Livings R.C. blend or Ortho Massage Oil. I like to use this one in the shower. Just add a couple drops to a wash cloth set in the shower let the steam ignite the amazing aroma! Nice and refreshing first thing in the morning! 3. Eucalyptus Radiata- This one originates in Australia. Has a milder aroma than Eucalyptus Globulus. It is sweet and citrusy. This can be found in Young Livings Thieves blend and Raven.
