2 years ❣️ . 2 years since I handed my baby over to the surgeon and he looked back at me not knowing what was ahead. 2 years since we were told, after just 75 minutes, that Daniel was off of bypass and being closed up. 2 years since his cardiology team told us that Daniel was healing days ahead of schedule and would go home just three days after open heart surgery. 2 years since this community wrapped us up in love, support, prayers, thoughts, gifts and meals for an entire month as we walked the scariest experience of our lives as parents. 2 years since God fulfilled his promise that #therewillstillbemiracles and broke us down and put as back together in a way well never recover from. 2 years have gone by. We sat down as a family and showed you the pictures and videos of this day 2 years ago and I cried the entire time. Your daddy held my hand and we hugged after we were done showing you because we still cant believe how that weekend played out. “Being a mother to a child who is fighting leukemia has been a task I never expected. I never imagined my son could get cancer. He was just 10 years old when he was diagnosed a little over 3 years ago. To say it has been hard is an understatement. My son Steven has been in treatment since 08/02/2017 and he will be finishing his end of treatment this November. My entire family has experienced their own fears and trauma watching him go through so much suffering. It is emotionally, physically and mentally challenging to see your child suffer and your family as well and then deal with your own emotions and fears. Being Stevens caregiver was never something I did on my own. Our family is a team. It tests your relationships with others, your marriage, everything changes. You have to adapt to a new world quickly and become your childs health care manager and be involved as much as you possibly can and learn quickly because there is no room for error. What I wish I would have known in the beginning is to accept people wanting to help you. It doesnt mean you cant manage or keep it together, it means that there are other things you can focus your time on - your child and family or catch up on rest - while someone shops for your groceries or blesses you with dinner. Let people help you. Also, dont over exert yourself. Take time to take a break, you have to take care of yourself. The siblings feel it, they feel scared and left out at the same time. I try talking to my kids, having open conversations because they just dont tell me how they feel for fear of making me worry. Its a hard balance but you will get through it. Steven has had many close calls and every time I felt I couldnt go on, but I did. I wouldnt have been able to get through it alone. Get involved with local foundations for your resources and dont Google things for answers or statistics, thats the worst thing you can do. I can say that 3 years of treatment has been the most challenging part of Stevens life but he goes through everything so gracefully and doesnt complain. He always wants to help others as well. The timeframe between is referred to as the “therapeutic window” when neuro-protective interventions should be done 🧠👶🏽✨ SIGNS + SYMPTOMS OF HIE Before birth (signs of distress) 🤰🏻 1. Há um ano atrás as 1:10 da manhã nascia o meu caçulinha. Com 2950kg e 46,5cm que encheu meu coração de amor. Lembro como se fosse hoje, eu na sala de recuperação sozinha e com poucos minutos de vida meu bebê teve que ir pra UTI. Eu chorava tanto... e rezava muito tb. Pedia a Deus que o protegesse e que o efeito da anestesia passasse logo pra eu poder ir ve-lo. As 7h da manhã, tirei forças do além e mesmo operada e com muita dor, fui me arrastando até a UTI pra ve-lo. Quando o vi... tão pequetito e cheio de fios, meu coração acelerou, meus olhos se encheram de lágrimas mas engoli o choro e pedi pra pegar meu filho para amamenta-lo. Eu tremia tanto... O medo quase me paralisou mas mais uma vez tirei forças para enfrentar todos esses sentimentos. Enfim, consegui pega-lo e amamenta-lo... olhava casa pedacinho do corpo dele e agradecia a Deus por poder estar com ele naquele momento. Ia visita-lo a cada meia hora... 🤭 Tive alta mas ele não... pq infelizmente ele não ganhava peso 🙁 Em dois dias, graças a Deus saímos do hospital. 🙏 Os meses seguintes foram muito difíceis, doídos... Mas o Ben veio ao mundo pra me ensinar a ser cada dia mais forte. Quando eu olho pra trás, penso em como eu consegui passar por tudo e ter dado a volta por cima. Agradeço a vc meu filho por me mostrar com o seu jeito carinhoso e com essa personalidade forte que tudo passa... E hoje vc com saúde vejo que tudo valeu a pena! E isso é que interessa. Day 40 Need some additional prayers for Skyler. Although Skyler was supposed to transfer to Healthbridge a few days ago, we experienced several delays. Most recent scan showed Skyler has developed hydrocephalus which has also been causing his digression. He will require another surgery in the next few days to address the hydrosypshilis. Deu seu “alô” ao mundo durante a passagem do ônibus por Uberaba-MG, em uma viagem que saiu de São Paulo-SP com destino à Brasília-DF. Iasmin Dantas, mãe da Sol, contou que a viagem seria na segunda-feira dessa semana, mas precisou adiar para terça-feira. E, em seguida, precisou adiar novamente para quinta-feira. We were thrilled when one of our special SVPB families shared their recent experience with us. No doubt this will provide a lot of comfort to our expecting families. Thank you, Rachel, for sharing this with us, and we hope you are enjoying those precious newborn cuddles with gorgeous baby Xavier. We checked out of the hospital on Monday, and I just wanted to take the time to say thank you to all the staff who made it a wonderful experience. I was so worried before the birth about how it would feel with all the covid restrictions and not having family visit, but in the end, it really didnt matter that much - our birth and stay was just as special. If anything, we loved our little hospital room bubble for those few days with plenty of time to rest and lots of attention from the midwives. Sophie was our midwife during the birth, and she was just amazing, showing nothing but kindness and patience and having a laugh at whatever it was I was saying while on the gas😂. All of the midwives taking care of us after were just wonderful - always understanding and helpful. And a big thank you to the overnight midwives. They came whenever we called and offered so much support rocking, burping, and cuddling baby Xavier throughout the night while providing us with so much advice and reassurance. It made it all so easy for us, and now we are home, there are moments I miss our little bubble and want to come back and see all the kind faces again. Hai guys .. Sedikit cerita ni tentang diriku dan baby S. Tepat tanggal 26 bulan Agustus kmrn baby S lahir. Memang dari awal aku sudah meyakin diri untuk bisa lahiran Normal .. Alhamdulillah semua berjalan dengan lancar .. dari persiapan sebelum lahiran, mulai dari Yoga, banyak jalan, belajar pernapasan, dan cari ilmu tentang persalinan. Jujur walaupun sudah baca atau cari tau tentang persiapan persalinan tetap saja nama nya juga hamil pertama pengalaman belum ada, bertanya ataupun baca dari beberapa sumber pun blm bisa menjawab pertanyaan aku tentang “ bagaimna sih rasa nya kontraksi ? “ ada yang bilang seperti orang mules kaya mau BAB. Ada juga yang bilang kaya orang sakit pinggang dan sakit perut dll. Tepat pada hari Senin tanggal 24 Agustus aq ke provider untuk check karena d bln 9 sudah per minggu harus checkup nya .. dan Bidan said “ ini perkiraan minggu depan baru lahir , karena bayinya blm masuk panggul banget “ aku hanya terdiam karena usia kandungan aku mau masuk ke 40 Minggu tp dalam hati berkata Bismillah berikan lah yang terbaik padahal saat itu aku sudah merasakan dorongan di area panggul per 1 jm sekali . Ok malamnya ajak suami buat jalan2 dan kita staycation 😁😁. Sambil jalan ngerasain dorongan di area panggul makin kesini per 30 menit sekali sampai di hotel pun sudah ngerasain per 20 menit sekali, tp aku sama sekali bawa enjoy sambil di suruh suami yoga . Esok hari nya Selasa pagi sudah per 15 menit sekali , cuman bisa ngelus2 perut sendiri sambil dzikir .. bukannya langsung plg tp malah sempet in mampir dlu buat makan siang 😅. Ok sampe rumah cuman bisa ngelus2 karena sudah per 6 menit sekali suami selalu bilang Banyakkin Dzikir , he said “ mau main birthing ball ngga “ sesekali main klo datang rasa nya stop dlu lanjut lagi ngelus2 . Lagi ngerasain bgini suami malah bilang “sore aku mau main layangan ya😂” Itu rasa dorongan di area panggul aku makin2 dah pas abis denger suami bilang bgtu ampuunn dahh sayang😣😣 . Nah saat itu aq baru tany ke provider di slide ke2 , tp saat itu aq masih kuat untuk menahannya .. makanya aq blm mau untuk kesana dan disaat itu pula pertanyaan tentang kontraksi aq terjawab .. - @qiyaday on Instagram

Cerita dari Ibuk - 6 Bulan Saja Halo bujang. Byk yg bilang kalo nyusuin anak lanang itu lebih melelahkan, krn menyusu lebih banyak dan lebih sering. Ibuk sempat tanya soal itu ke yang lebih paham jauh sebelum Hammam dilahirkan, dan dijawab tegas , TIDAK. Secara teori, baik itu bayi laki-laki atau perempuan kebutuhan ASI nya ya sama, ukuran lambung juga, frekuensi menyusu di awal kehidupan juga tak berbeda. Yang membedakan adalah karakternya, ada bayi yang tidur lebih lama dari yang lain dan hanya menyusu ketika dibangunkan atau dipaksa, dan ada juga bayi yang mudah cranky dan lebih peka terhadap rasa laparnya sehingga seolah2 lebih sering menyusu dan menyusu lebih lama. Dua2nya sama2 normal, sama2 wajar. Ternyata teori itu ada benarnya. Hammam mematahkan kata orang yang sempet bikin ibuk khawatir soal produksi ASI sendiri karena walaupun laki-laki, kamu masuk bayi tipe pertama. Pasca melahirkan, seperti sebelumnya, ibuk mungkin tidak seberuntung ibu lain yang mendapat IMD pasca melahirkan, pun yg ASInya langsung bercucuran di hari pertamamu. Kita harus saling menguatkan dulu sambil belajar dan berdoa bareng di ranjang rumah sakit itu. Kamu belajar menyusu, ibuk belajar percaya bahwa ASI itu akan keluar, bahwa ia akan ada, cukup atas yang kamu butuhkan. MashaaAllah, bahagianya ketika tahu bahwa tak perlu menunggu sampai nyaris satu minggu, tak perlu mendengar tangis laparmu seperti mbak Hafshah dulu. Hari kedua, kita semua sudah lebih lega, karena ASI ibuk ada. Maka ibuk berkutat kembali dgn kesibukan penuh cinta ini. Punggung dan tulang belakang pegel, pumping yang alhamdulilah bikin hepi karena tak sekadar pantat botolnya yang basah (makasih mamak mizan @windadacha sdh pinjemin pompa asinya sebentar). Ibuk kembali dgn rutinitas nyusuin malem sambil merem yg mana besoknya berbuah encok. Plus bonus kamu yg gumohnya ekstra hahahaha. Yang selalu ibuk bisikin ke diri sendiri adlh Semangat buk, 6 bulan saja. Itu tak cukup lama untuk dia bergantung padamu sepenuhnya. Nikmatilah. Terima kasih Hammam sudah lebih mudah beradaptasi. Siang ini.. saya menjenguk seorang anak yang sedang viral di media sosial yang dalam keadaan sakit parah ia mengigau lantunan suci ayat Quran. Subhanallah... Baim harus kuat melawan penyakit ini.. Diunggah dari akun facebook Neng Ayu Yasmin berdurasi 59 detik yang di upload, terdapat unggahan seorang anak yang sedang terkapar kemarin lusa itu kemudian viral. Video itu sampai kini telah mendapatkan 6,1 ribu respon, 88 komentar yang beragam menyanjung sikap anak tersebut serta 3,7 ribu dibagikan. Nama lengkap dari anak tersebut adalah Muhamad Ibrahim Wafiq (10) dengan panggilan BAIM. Ia tidak mengenyam pendidikan formal di sana, Baim ke Rumah Quran itu hanya mengaji. Saat ini kondisi Baim Mengidap Sakit Kronis terbaring di RSPAD Gatot Subroto. Dalam kondisi sakit ia Mengigau Terus dengan melantunkan Lafaz Al-Quran. Rupanya benar bahwa anak dalam video tersebut mengaji di Rumah Quran Az-Zahra. Letaknya berada di Kavling Perwira Jaya, Jalan Bintara IV Rt 04/12, Kelurahan Perwira, Kecamatan Bekasi Utara.
