Going to debrief a few of the events from last weekend for you and just a few of my thoughts! We Vlogged behind the scenes all weekend (which was a bit stressful but @_patrickoconnell made it happen) so make sure to click the link in my bio to see a more in depth view of my thoughts of the weekend! Let’s get started... Event 1: friendly Fran This started the weekend with a bang. I prefer to ease in with a long run, swim or maybe bike 😂 not straight pedal to the metal full throttle go time. This was a 3rd round workout. It was deceiving and it hurt. I had a plan. I stuck to my plan and then all of a sudden my plan went out the window. There wasn’t even time to decide it was time to grind. All of a sudden everything just kind of felt a little numb and things start closing in. These are my least favorite kind of workouts. These are the ones that sneak up and punch you in the face out of nowhere. The first round felt good, almost too good where I knew better. 2nd round the burn started to set in and 3rd round was survival. Happy with my effort and the improvement of my thrusters with a heavier load. Still work to do and probably need to learn to find that dark place a bit more in training 💀. All in all the electric atmosphere of my friends and family at @cfp.fitness pulled me through and I’m so thankful for all their cheers! One of the misnomers about block work is that many think their classic lifts should be higher from the floor than that off the blocks. Love or hate them blocks are an amazing tool for athlete development. There are several reasons to use blocks when not in the competition preparation phase of training but my personal favorite(s) and the motivation behind today’s programming is twofold. 1️⃣ Removes the obstacle of pulling off the floor, ie.. pulling over the knees. This allows for athletes to hit the gas ⛽️ and accelerate immediately after the barbell separates from the blocks. Additionally since we are no longer concerned about transitioning over the knees the athlete can generally achieve closeness with little to no gap between the bar and the athlete’s quadricep. By minimizing the this gap we are bringing the barbell closer the athlete’s center of gravity, making the lift more efficient. Since the lift is more efficient the athlete can generally achieve higher numbers from blocks that the floor. We also sometimes use the blocks as a way to build confidence at higher levels of intensity. 2️⃣ Shortening the pull such as when you lift from the blocks, the range of motion is significantly less than that of from the floor. Due to this reduced range of motion the speed in which the athlete must react is dramatically increased. This shorter time span within the pull and change in timing allows for the athlete to adapt to a conditional and controlled change. One other aspect to point out with the shorter range of motion is that an athlete can generally do more volume from the blocks before they fatigue. I love this photo of Om Yun Chol, mostly because I can hear so many coaches groaning at the degree that he has lifted his feet off the platform. What he is doing is an exaggeration of what every lifter is doing as they pull under the barbell: taking pressure off the platform in order to descend quickly. There has to be little to no pressure on the platform in order for a lifter to accelerate into a low squat position at high speed. In other words, all lifters have to free their feet and bodyweight from the platform in order to get under the barbell quickly. Some look like Om with an exaggerated lifting of the feet, others may appear to not pick up the feet at all, or in between these two extremes. However, for all lifters at this phase there is almost no force being applied against the platform. If this were to happen, the descent will be slowed or there will be a sudden braking inhibiting the lifter from getting into a low squat position. A high speed of descent and improving this aspect of technique can allow a lifter to be successful lifting maximum weights moving at lower bar speeds. Livin that PowerBuilding life right now while on a cut (dropping to 222 ish over the next month - swipe for progress). Doing a bunch of variations to build lower back strength and quads (mostly in terms of activation and not hypertrophy as I am in a deficit and significant building is tough) which are lacking. Conventional is coming along as I am using my posterior chain way more and not “squatting” the weight up. Made the trek out to @fortiswest on Sunday for training. I missed most everyone else because they thought it would be fun to train at the crack of dawn like a bunch of nerds. Dealing with a small back strain so I was tentative on the deadlifts but they moved decently. 295kg/650x3x3, followed by 455x2x4 high bar and some pin press and rows. - @amacnicol on Instagram
•Conventional DL: 405lbs single & 325 lbs-5 reps •SLDL (t&g): 320lbs- 5 reps •Hip Thrust: 325 lbs- 10 reps Not the smoothest single but good to see 405 lbs back in the loop. I knew before going into my training session today that my lower back was still feeling taxed from a deep tissue massage & my quads & hamstrings still felt sore from training them hard on Thursday evening. Not to mention I have the worst cramps today from TOM(ladies you know how that goes)😂 Knowing all this, I still came to train. Not making any excuses as to why my single didn’t look smoother but only being realistic with myself. I did what I could today with how I was feeling/the circumstances. 1️⃣ “Stone over bar practice 2️⃣ Knee drive w co-contraction s/o to @katie.stclair.fitness for this one. Think old school Cook bridge (hugging in opposite knee to prevent lumbar extension instead of hip extension) but standing and add in a co-contraction at the knee. Inhale w knee drive, exhale push back = posterior chain like WHOA. “Functional arms 3️⃣ TK bicep curl w Nordic ISO - using hamstrings and abs to control pelvis and ribcage position. 4️⃣ Inverted alternating triceps extension s/o @alex.effer - using an inverted position to drive expansion up top (hips over ribcage). . Exercise selection should always be intentional. Stone over bar requires explosive hip extension. HIP EXTENSION without knee extension! This is a co-contraction! The HIPS do the work and the knee holds an isometric. This allows the hips to extend to meet the knee (BIG OLE POWERFUL GLUTES) rather than the knee extending back to meet the hips (ole reliable quads). If you dont have a foot, calf, and hamstring that work together, the glutes never get a chance to be big, powerful, and explosive (s/o @davidgreyrehab). . Tuesday’s top 5 tips to fat loss: 1. Calorie deficit: Ensure that you are expending more energy than you are consuming. To set yourself up for success here, a sustainable deficit is typically 10-20% taken from maintenance calories. 2. Monitor your NEAT: Non-exercise activity thermogenesis is everything that isn’t your structured exercise routine. Everything OUTSIDE of the gym is included here: Your steps, brushing your teeth, doing the dishes, going shopping, fidgeting, using a standing desk etc. 3. RECOVERY: To get your body into parasympathetic mode, AKA: rest and recover to decrease stress hormones, we need to be balancing out stressors with de-stressors. Ensure you are getting 7+ hours of sleep, appropriate macronutrient distribution to facilitate recovery (yes this is important, especially on low calories), adequate hydration, 20 minutes of sunshine, and plenty of YOU time (or things that you find relaxing). 4. Appropriate training routine: Weight training is especially important while dieting to maintain muscle mass. When we diet, we are at an increased risk of losing hard earned muscle tissue which is what gives us that ‘toned’ look. To minimise muscle loss, strength training is recommended. It will also help preserve a higher metabolic rate, strength and healthy blood work profile. 5. CONSISTENCY: This is the most important of all. You can have the perfect calories, perfect food choices, perfect training routine and activity levels, but if you aren’t consistent with your diet, it’s all for nothing. Imagine if you only showed up to work Monday, but by Friday had quit? Not a very successful approach, and I don’t think your boss would appreciate it. Commit to your diet and be consistent, Then it’s about trusting the process. Having someone to keep you accountable here is key. A fat loss goal involves a transformation of your lifestyle. If you continue to do what you have always done, you will continue to get what you have always gotten. 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 Here is a video of me doing a power clean followed by a full clean at 295. The second and third images (𝘴𝘸𝘪𝘱𝘦) show some of the inefficiencies that I see. In my power clean, my feet jump out much wider than my squat stance. In my full clean, I land with the bar forward and on one toe. If you watch the video closely you can see how I catch it off balance and the weight pushes me into a more stable flat footed position before I can stand up. This makes the squat more difficult because I have to stand from a dead stop. Additionally in both of these lifts, you can see that my front rack needs improvement. This would come from improvements in my upper back strength, shoulder mobility, and maybe a change in grip position on the bar. I know all these faults. Intellectualizing them though does not help me correct them in the real physical world. I guess this is the difference between thinking about the work versus doing the work. And Im not sure if its worth doing the work. I want to improve, but I say that it might not be a good use of time because Im training for CrossFit. In that sport/methodology, I have a lot of other skills I do with less relative proficiency. So, dedicating too much time to this one weaker position may take away from something that is a bigger priority. Also, I can make lighter weights look technically sound. These specific faults only get exposed when the weight gets nearer to my maxes. I call this point where my optimal form breaks down, a technical max. So, Im not sure what I should do and want to get some internet expert opinions. What do you think I should do? (𝘔𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘪𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘪𝘤𝘦, 𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘸𝘦𝘳 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴) A: Continue to prioritize better positions at lighter weights. B: Take more attempts in the 90-100% range with a focus on technical cues such as trying to land flat footed or getting the bar further back on the first pull. Can you control the full arc of shoulder rotation? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ To be proficient in the snatch or the clean the lifter must be able to exert force on the bar with a elevated and internally rotated shoulder as the initiate the pull under the bar. This will keep the bar close, the lifter balanced and allow for speed into the receiving position. The lifter then most be able to depress (for the clean) or upwardly rotate (for the snatch) the scapula with some degree of external rotation to be able to resist force in the receiving position. Today’s workout looked fairly easy on paper...those are typically the WORST and this did NOT disappoint!! 💀 😓 Working on a 3rm max hang clean, hit 165# and failed 175# after one (1RM hang clean is my PR, so hitting that at the end of the workout was a pretty big deal for me) Then a simple 10EMOM. 5 cleans, 5 jerks. Holy smokes!! Did it at 145# and it got interesting to say the least!! But I completed it, mostly emom’d it 😏 Then did some DU and BMU work. It’s so much fun when all the work and patience on technique transfers over to lifts. I know I have a long way to go, but man this feels good to be able to hit some of these lifts/movements! On a Saturday I have a fun session in the gym. It’s a session I get to do all the exercises I wouldn’t typically put into my programming however, fun saturday is very much a big part of my training. It’s not a session I take easy or don’t push the weight up. It’s a session to do other things mainly cleans, DB snatches, Slam ball tosses, KB swings, Ski Erg etc. I don’t worry about the volume of the session compared to the week before, it’s a training day I train to my energy level as it’s the 6th day on the trot and my 3rd leg day (sorta), it’s a day I go in and work hard without worrying if it’s 10kg or 40kg. I love training and if lockdown taught me one thing it was I like training if I’m using bands or using a barbell because it’s your intensity and the mindset you have on a session that makes it fun or not. And yes I use the word fun because even though it hurts it is fun 😂 So here is me having fun, swipe if you want to see me not do a squat clean on my first attempt. When you want to progress, whether it be your performance in sport/gym, after surgery, or getting out of pain, committing yourself to “doing more” is only a small portion of the battle. What matters more, is that what you are doing is the RIGHT THING for you at the RIGHT TIME. This often means identifying buckets that need to be filled based upon your UNIQUE needs. . I know the exercise you saw on Instagram said it would help relieve your back pain. It’s probably a great exercise for the average person, but you’re not average - you’re you. . If you’re reading this, I’m going to bet that you’re not a stranger to hard work. You probably pride yourself in your ability to put your head down and get done what needs to get done. I think this is an admirable trait, but when it comes to moving in the right direction, WHAT you do, and HOW you do it are always going to outweigh motivation. . TLDR: work smart work hard. Ofta när jag träffar nya kunder så har dom målet att bli starkare. Men innan dom hade träffat mig har dom aldrig ens försökt att träna för att bli starka på riktigt. Alltså våga ta i, dra ner repsantalet, äta för att prestera, våga vila för att utvecklas. Nä snarare gjorde dom tvärt om. Träna för mycket hiit, tränade för många pass på raken och åt för lite kolhydrater. Min vision i träning är att folk ska våga ta i och känna sig som superwomen/superman eller vad man du vill vara super som! 🤩 Mitt mål är att få dela detta med mera personer. Un mega #tb que me apareció en Facebook 😂😱 El 27 de septiembre del 2014 hice mi primera competencia de CrosFit y la verdad me recuerdo que metí a “RX” sabiendo que no tenía los pesos que habían en ese evento, me recuerdo que mi PR De Snatch eran como 75lbs o algo así..y no se me olvida que había una escalera ascendente de pesos y había que terminar con como con 105lbs no me recuerdo fue hace tanto ... pero en serio pensaba que nunca iba a lograr levantar esos pesos 🤣. Pero fue entonces donde decidí que quería competir y ser mejor, por mi y para mi. Since I have videos of all of my games workouts I thought it would be fun to do a little recap on each workout from the weekend. I do apologize for the video quality, my phone was the backup recording device, so we weren’t too worried about its setup position. Workout 1 (friendly Fran): my worst finish (5:26, 22nd place) and my proudest workout. Why? Because I went out hard and I DIED but I didn’t give up. First video you can see me walking up to the barbell for my final set of thrusters, I vividly remember feeling like my body was starting to shut down and I really didn’t want to pick up the barbell. But I said to myself “you have a choice right now, a choice to fight, or a choice to give up.” So I chose to fight. I still fell apart (like legit blackout status) and was doing singles for majority of the final set of C2B. My body may have failed but my mind DID NOT. We learned a lot from this workout and I’m seriously so proud of my effort. Ps this was only the 2nd time in my crossfit history that I’ve gotten sick from a workout🤢 (other time was open workout rowing and thrusters😆). I Also learned to always run to the finish line after the workout🤦🏼♀️. In the simplest of words, what a great day! 😄 Today I went 5/6 in my first weightlifting meet with a lifetime clean & jerk PR! I had an absolute blast lifting today as well as watching my @vikingbarbell teammates crush it! I am officially in love with this sport and can’t wait to see what the future holds. I want to congratulate everyone on their performances today and send a special thanks to coach @dermcdermott for his guidance and knowledge, as well as for allowing me to shoot for the moon at my first meet. I also want to send a special thanks to @jessahartlmt for keeping my muscles happy and healthy with her incredible expertise as well as for her friendship and endless support. To my friends that traveled to watch me lift today, I am so grateful that you would drive so far to watch me on stage for such a short time, you are amazing. I managed to hit a little more than we were planning and while i would have liked to make more lifts, im really happy with hitting these numbers after 5-6 months of not touching these numbers. Im super stoked to pull off a 3rd place finish amongst some tough competition and it was really just a blast to see some familiar lifters and getting to push ourselves again. The online format is really different and made timing weird, but i learned a ton and im just excited to be competing again. First time doing an overhead squat and a snatch since ... I don’t know, I lost count! 🤪 _ Sometimes it’s hard accepting that we’re not where we “used to be.” Last year, at this time, I was at my strongest ever as I had just come off an olympic lifting season, was preparing for the CrossFit Open and a very hopeful CrossFit Games birth (I missed winning my country by one point)! 🤷🏽♀️🇩🇴 _ I’m still so proud of that effort because I was working 40+ hours/week, teaching workshops and seminars, coaching privately, somehow maintained 2300+ calories a day 😅 oh and I’m not in my 20’s! 👵🏽 It was a no excuses kind of year where I learned what I’m capable of! I think we need seasons like that. _ But, I am also embracing being able to “let go” of that need to have to “go hard”” all the time and to compete. It’s a BIG mindset shift for me and no, it’s not an easy one for me to embrace. But there’s loads of room for growth and opportunity in this space! Can anyone else relate?! _ My goal is to take a season to actually enjoy movement and embrace new projects and collaborations. For me that looks like working out 3x a week with some weightlifting - to fend off some old track and field injuries and to both be and feel healthy and strong. _ Here I am doing a light, shaky snatch, OHS, & reintroducing pull-ups into my workouts. I got rid of OH movements for a time due to some issues I’ve had with my ear and neck. Another Lockdown, basement, back to basics session: 1. Power Cleans- 5x5 2. Cleaned in front squats- 4x5 3. Floor press- 3x8 4. Kettlebell rows- 3x8 Week 3 of power cleans and building volume at a given weight (can only move in 10kg increments so I don’t have a choice). vou deixar aqui essa imagem de 2014 pra falar de uma parada que eu to louca pra fazer textão. atividade física é uma coisa relativamente nova na minha vida (6 anos). Eu era 100% sedentária e como vcs devem saber eu tenho asma tbm, o que não me incentivava a começar algo tbm. Em 2014 descobri o Crossfit e fiquei obcecada, fui fazer educação física e todo o pacote completo. O que aconteceu ali pra mim foi que eu ganhei capacidade de fazer coisas e pensar em atividades que antes eram impossíveis pra mim (o Crossfit tbm me deu uma esposa mas isso não vem ao caso agora). Viajar e conseguir passear andando era uma coisa horrível, decidir fazer por um dia alguma coisa diferente era impossível. Agora eu consigo ir escalar pra ver como é, jogar beach tênis com meus amigos, fazer yoga, andar de bike com o pai da li, acompanhar minha mãe na musculação que ela finge que não gosta, ir no box que ela treina pra provar pras amigas dela que eu consigo levantar peso, participar de um campeonato de LPO pra ganhar a primeira medalha da minha vida e o que mais surgir. Tem diversas coisas q eu não gosto de fazer, tipo correr, e eu não me obrigo nem um pouco, até onde eu sei eu não sou atleta de nada então me dou esse direito de só fazer o q me deixa feliz e me motiva. Tudo isso pra dizer q após longos anos me formei e to doida pra trabalhar com isso e trazer essa possibilidade pras pessoas e garantir que elas sejam independentes e possam dizer sim pros convites e coisas que aparecem na frente delas sem se preocupar se vão dar conta. beijos, se hidratem e se alonguem - @marianna on Instagram

I was looking through some old videos of my training cycle leading up to the 2012 Olympic trials today. Normally when I think about this time in my life I’m left with a lot of bitter feelings. However, today I was overwhelmed with joy when I was scrolling through these. This was hands down one of my best training cycles. Sometimes I’ll get ppl ask me if I’ll compete in powerlifting again Honestly.. I don’t think so for the time being. I just don’t have the same spark for it that I used to. I’ve been going back and fourth about it for ages (last 2 years) and honestly it just isn’t as much of a passion compared to before, when I lived and breathed it. I still love the sport - it changed my life and allowed me to grow a lot as a person - It taught me sacrifice, discipline, showed me how much was possible if I really put my mind to it, and gave me a taste of what it really meant to give 1000% of your heart and energy into something. In my last year in the u23, I swore I’ll never be one of those ppl who go into the open and then disappear or quit the sport. I guess everyone has their own path, and in my case I went down the path of growing a fitness and business consulting business which, today, has changed hundreds of lives as well as given my team members full time jobs where they can work from anywhere. powerlifting organically just took a backseat, something I tried to fight for ages because I didn’t wanna fully let it go. But I don’t see myself ever competing or participating in the sport as intensely as I used to. I’m still doing powerlifting type training at the gym. But for now, I’ll be hanging up my powerlifting belt (next to my medals 😈) Massive respect to everyone I ever met in powerlifting and those who are still participating in the sport But for now ..Brb, platform. ⏰‘quantified self’ - A fancy phrase for ‘self-tracking’ emerged in 2007. ⌚️Two years later, Fitbit was launched, allowing people to track metrics like daily step count, calories burned, and even sleep. 👀Fast forward to today, where anyone and everyone has something wrapped around their wrist counting. 👄These devices can be great tools, they can also cause problems and backfire. 1 of these problems has grow the last few years as fitness apps and devices have begun allowing cross-integration. The problem I’m referring to is Net Calories. 🤑MyFitnessPal, the popular calorie-tracking app, describes Net Calories as, ‘a daily budget of calories to spend’. 🥐So, let’s say your calorie deficit you are following is 1700cals, you eat 1700cals that day but you exercise and it tells you that you burned 700cals, you think - “Fck yeah - I have 700 more Cals to eat!”. 🤓A 2017 study looked at the energy expenditure on several Fitbit products, the Apple Watch and other tracking devices and found the devices overestimated energy expenditure. While the devices were pretty accurate for heart rate, they were all off for energy expenditure by 27.5% to 93%! 📉To give you an idea - A 30% error rate is the equivalent to an overestimation of ~180 calories and a 40% error rate could mean an overestimation of ~240 calories. 🏋🏼♀️Another thing worth remembering is as you lose weight and get leaner, the number of calories you expend through daily movement and exercise decrease. These devices don’t take these changes into account. So as you lose weight, you’re actually burning fewer calories than the device is reporting. 🌭Even if we ignore these inaccuracies, eating back the calories you “burn” through exercise defeats the purpose of increasing movement! 👩🏼💻It’s great we have access to these tools but it’s important to use them correctly. @whoop has MANY more benefits that help quantify our health and athletic abilities. 🙅🏼♀️And for gawd’s sake - do not do the “10min burn 1000 calorie!” Posts and fall for that bullshit. 😈Use exercise as something that can add to your deficit, improve your performance and make you feel like a badass. 🌱 @kaltwellness 📸 @odyssey_creatives - @k8tbeee on Instagram

At times, going thru the day to day grind you miss the progress you make. Keeping your head in the mud and training isn’t always easy when day in and day out your lifts and body feels shitty. Sometimes you won’t see the progress until you watch old lifts. It’s never the good days that make you better, it’s the shitty days, day in and day out that we grow the most from. Link in bio This #stankface says it all for this first event at the @crossfitgames Friendly Fran got very unfriendly very fast 😅 This was a tough year for me and I have excuse to use this year for getting ready for the games but honestly with all the injuries aside I just wasn’t ready to compete this year and it showed with each workout and how my body was recasting, responding and recovering, I didn’t do enough with what I could do. I wanted this wod to be over the second it started. I was hurting the entire time and mentally defeated before even picking up the bar due to the fact that I hadn’t touched an 85LBS thruster in 4+ months. It was completely the wrong mindset to have and it showed the entire workout. I’m blessed to have made it through this weekend with every holding up and excited to really train this next year and fix my injuries but mostly my mindset going into workouts like this. Life’s not fair and everyone had a tough time getting ready this year for the games with or without injuries. Here are my submission videos (without the stripping down to weigh in 🤦♀️) for the @officialstrongman_ pound for pound competition and qualifier for 2021 OSG. Hit 221 deadlift and 108 OHP at a bwt of 69. It has been the month from hell for me, leave alone this week, and this total is beyond what I thought possible when I started prepping for this event. Literally would not have been achievable without @cerberus_australia and their amazing equipment keeping me together. And @alignfitnessandmassage allowing myself and @wrstrongman to brutalise Olympic lifting and use their beautiful facility after a competition to attempt our OHP submission. And @leviathan.strength and @tomanbradleypt for literally opening his unfinished doors to me and mine when I was in desperate need of a venue (and Texas bar) for our deadlift submission. Your kindness will not be forgotten! To my friends and family who turn up time and time again to watch and support me doing relatively unproductive sports, my heart is raw with gratitude. Butterfly pre-requisites & drills to test tension and timing. CrossFit/weightlifting/gymnastics...all the rage these days! Often we caught up in numbers, times, RX, etc. the beauty of being able to do this LONG TERM comes down to intent and understanding of quality movement. It took me a while to understand all these thing FULLY. When I got pregnant it was hard to let go because I worked so hard for these skills in all three entities. But now, I am actually do less, but it’s quality work and I feel better and I’m still progressing. Not every day is sunshine and rainbows, but I also am now able to let it roll and move on with my days. I’m decent at the gymnastics things. So, every so often I force myself to try new things from @thegymnasticscourse because @chuckbennington always says cool things that make me want to try them. Video 1: behind the neck pull ups in an arch. Video 2: the first attempt to butterfly pull up on rings. My brain and body immediately wanted to kip 😂 Video 3: still weird but I was a bit more aware and by the last 5-7 I got it better. I know how to butterfly my pull ups. Crossfit för mig är det som får mig att fortsätta träna! Ja när jag började träna då va jag lärd som alla andra PTs var musklerna satt. Hur man rörde och tränade dom musklerna. Sen tränade man dom i maskiner. Typ split pass. Rygg och biceps. Bröst och triceps. Mage. Cardio ja osv. Fyyyyyyyyyy fan va tråkigt. Ett halvår in som PT och min träningskarriär. Så kände jag hur tråkigt det va. Jag dog av tristess i maskinerna. Ja menar hallå så enformigt och outvecklade 🙄 Men sen hittade jag marklyft, knäböj och tillslut gymnastik och olympiska lyft och sen blev det naturligt att börja med crossfit. En mera idrottsspecifik träningsform. Jag hade absolut en fördel av att jag hade jobbat i maskiner innan då jag hade kontakt med mina muskler och va stark i överkroppen och benen vilket är ett plus i crossfit. Så missförstå mig rätt! Att börja i maskiner och jobba med basrörelser är superbra till en start och även rehab samt bygga muskler tärning. Men jag skulle slutat träna om jag inte fortsatte utveckla mig vidare. Så se till att alltid vara nyfiken. Jobba med mer än bara maskiner. Jobba med kroppsligt. Jobba mot gravitationen oxå! Stimulerar mera hjärna och är mera likt din vardag! Då vi alltid rör oss mot gravitationen. Så fortsätt ha nyfikenhet och testa nytt. Våga misslyckas för att i längden lyckas. 🇺🇸 Snatch optimal positions. SWIPE ➡️➡️➡️➡️ @hybridperformancemethod @f.reis_weightlifting @coachveith2020 • Snatch is the simplest most complicated exercise. It’s simple to move barbell from point A to point B. But how to do it more effectively. • Here is a very clear exemple of how to perform the most optimal positions maintaining barbell closer to your center of gravity. • First position - some key points to remember. Tight back ✔️ chest up ✔️ focal point ✔️ shoulders slightly over the bar ✔️ pushing with your legs ✔️ • Position 2 - everything remains the same, just have to push the floor with your legs, hips and barbell should move together. • Power position - barbell have contact mid thigh or high thigh, shoulders slightly over the bar, feet fully planted on the ground pushing with your legs. • Triple extension - now focal point gets aligned, your focal point is your guidance through the movement as a reference to know that you fully extended. Legs should be fully extended and body should be vertical. • Overhead - positions remains the same.
