Sixty years after it was invented by the British, the chalet ski holiday is under threat from a toxic combination of Covid-19 and Brexit. In the winter of 1958-59, a British 27-year-old travelled from London to the Swiss village of Grindelwald to take up a job. Lovedy Cornish, or Moule as she was then, would be looking after British tourists, mainly cooking and making beds, but she was also making history. For, though no one thought much about it at the time, Lovedy was the world’s first chalet girl. “We had the upstairs floor of a chalet, the bottom half was owned by a family who ran a hardware store,” she told me this month from her home in Cambridge. “The first group of guests included four public schoolboys, a nurse, a secretary, two American airmen and an English major who was drunken and amorous in turn. Z avtom se lahko odpelješ do vrha gondole ali pa parkiraš pri jezerih in se povzpneš peš na vrh. Priporočam, da se za 5 eur peljete še mimo zapornice do vrha in se tam podate peš na poučno pot @zavodskrateljc . V okrepčevalnici Sonček kupite knjigico (5eur) s pomočjo katere iščeš po cca. 2 urni poti namige, uganke, štempiljke in čarobni izrek. Po opravljeni poti se vrneš v okrepčevalnico, kjer prejmeš darilce za opravljeno nalogo.♥️ Danes smo videli tudi zadnji ❄️, se guncali na krožnikih (od vlečnice), plezali po ogromni plezalni steni, zvonili zvonec želja in se fino najedli. These are now available to view on the project website, along with the chat transcripts from the virtual public meetings held in June and a frequently asked questions guide. Currently, UDOT is refining the draft alternatives and evaluating any new ones proposed during the comment period. The same criteria that was used in the June 8, 2020 screening report will be applied. UDOT expects the revised screening report will be released in Fall 2020. The next phase of the Little Cottonwood Canyon EIS process is the development of the Draft EIS, which will continue over the next several months. Recently, I had the amazing opportunity to ride along on the Dalton Highway from Fairbanks to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. The drive was absolutely stunning, we definitely were spoiled with a beautiful day. But more importantly, I got to see first hand, the demands on our truck drivers along with their knowledge and expertise of the roads. As a person in HR, anytime I can understand better what our employees face and how we can support them in their day to day is what I strive for. The trip, in addition to being an amazing experience, left me with a new appreciation and respect for our truck drivers and the jobs they do. So next time you see a truck driver on the road, give em a wave 👋🏻 and if you’re driving, give them some space. It’s the least we can do to help make their workday a good one. This weekend we ventured on the road and had our family’s first trip to @visitbigbear. It was my first time in 20 years and I don’t know why I haven’t come here earlier! Our family went to @alpineslidebigbear yesterday and we had so much fun with all the rides and attractions. We started with alpine slides which is a bobsled that you can control the speed individually. The chairlift ride that takes you to the top of mountain gives you a beautiful panaromic view of Big Bear Lake. There is a height restriction but my toddler was able to ride with us and she loved it! Mineshaft coaster is a fast thrill ride and the only mountain coaster in CA. My boys loved this fast ride with high speed turns and twists that could also be individually controlled. We then went on the Soaring Eagle zipline that catapulted us through the air. We ended the day with Go-karting and miniature golf which the whole family could enjoy. There was something for everyone and we loved our first time visit at @alpineslidebigbear. It is open year round and I would definitely recommend it if you plan to visit Big Bear. It was so much fun and we had the best time! In 2007 Kässbohrer Geländefahrzeug AG took over the manufacturer Paana in Keitele, Finland. Paana had made a name for itself in Scandinavia as a manufacturer of track grooming machines and with the Paana 100, a relatively small, agile snow groomer was on offer. To round off the PistenBully program, Kässbohrer then added this type to its delivery program after appropriate modifications. 😎 The new addition had a Cummins four-cylinder diesel of type QSB 4.5 with an output of 86 kW (115 PS), which met all current exhaust emission standards such as Euromot 3A EPA TIER 3!
