Praise God! The blood clots and pulmonary embolisms are all gone!!!🌈❤️💯🥳✨ The doctors had cautioned me that the embolisms particularly take 5-6 months to breakdown. (And things could still go wrong during that time. i.e. sudden stroke or death)😬 In 3 months mine are gone. That’s the miracle we have been praying for.🙏Thank you for keeping me in your prayers. God hears us and knows our concerns, worries & fears. In the Bible it says over 365 times to ‘fear not/do not be afraid’. There are so many things that cause fear in this life that God gave us enough reminders for each day of the year.👊📆 I am so thankful for His peace and protection that guard my heart against fear!❤️There were many nights I was afraid and would wake up with anxiety trying to take over. I would open the Bible and God’s words comforted and calmed me. Hey fellow renovators! We’re curious to know - How long did it take you to renovate your caravan? Was it a complete rebuild? Or did you just paint and do a few smaller changes? We purchased Sandy Dec 18 and stripped the inside first (the water damaged parts) and sanded back. We then cleaned the outside, fixed leaks and had her professionally painted. Then we worked on the inside. Adding a cabinet, changing bench tops and completely painting the inside. We got a new skirt and awning made in that time too and new upholstered seats. We left for our first getaway in April 19. So, all up around 4 months on and off work... some late nights once the kids were in bed. Hard work, but so rewarding! escrevi um textão. apaguei. talvez vire um textão, mas tipo roupa de academia depois que vc transpira muito e corre pro banho. a semana passada foi braba por aqui. entre curas muito profundas do corpo, mil questionamentos. muitas mortes dentro, e incontáveis fora. essa energia que paira no ar. e a política, e a saúde. e as pessoas. todas as pessoas. e a gente como ser. e todos os seres. a gente começa a se sentir pequeno no meio de tanta ignorância, tanta perda. parece que faltam uns braços. e a gente se afasta do que é humano para se sentir menos humano. talvez? me deu um esgotamento bruto. mental, emocional, físico. como carro velho que engasga para ligar no frio. e ah, o frio. também gelando. e as pessoas que moram na rua. e as matas, e as terras perdidas invadidas. e os seres. ser humano é complexo. são tantos prismas, tantas facetas. um jogo de puxa daqui, estica dali. negocia aspectos, muda ponto de vista, esclarece a mente. exercícios de corpo. de mente. de tudo. a minha humanidade trouxe essas camadas, difíceis por ora. mas a mesma humanidade também me trouxe alívio e um novo fôlego. no dia do aniversário do meu pai eu tava caída de tudo. eu não gosto de falar no telefone e nem na câmera. mas como foi bonito ver ele. dar risada de coisas bobas, cotidianas. de dizer “oi. eu não to bem” e receber aquele abraço de quem veio antes e já suportou tanta história. eu me emocionei com a felicidade dele, ali singela. é bonito comemorar mais um ano. a gente cantou parabéns e talvez todos meus vizinhos tenham escutado. dentro de mim cada som acendia um pequeno calor. talvez de esperança. de humanidade. amor acho. no dia seguinte outra humanidade me salvou. toques carinhosos e palavras gentis. afago na cabeça e chá quente de esquentar o peito. as vezes a gente só precisa esvaziar. estar. olhar para isso. sentir e tocar. pegar na mão para materializar. e depois deixar ir, seguir seu ciclo. é difícil estar inteiro para gente todo dia, e estar totalmente pro outro também. um dia podemos ser sustentação para muitos. noutros só para gente mesmo. compreender essas nuances abre espaço para ser, ser humano. com toda complexidade. e também toda beleza. - @marcelaperrote on Instagram

As more people learn about turkeys, their unique personalities and how so many of them are raised in factory farms, more of us are choosing to leave them off our Thanksgiving tables. These curious and intelligent birds will roam an area as large as 500 acres, live in stable social groups, and know each other as individuals. Wild mother turkey hens have strong maternal instincts, watching closely over their brood for several months. On today’s factory farms though, newly hatched turkeys never see their mothers. They are born in hatcheries and transported to industrial factory farms when they are only a day old. Unlike their wild counterparts, the turkeys found on most dinner tables never had the opportunity to feel the sun or breathe fresh air. They spend their lives in windowless warehouses, bred and fed to be obese. Their young bones strain under their own weight, causing chronic leg and joint pain and other issues. With each bird allotted only a few square feet of space, they become increasingly cramped as they quickly reach market weight. After suffering all this, at only three or four months old, the birds are sent to slaughter. For these and other reasons, countless Americans are choosing to celebrate Thanksgiving Day with a meat-free meal. By putting aside the requisite slice of turkey, we can make room on our plate for what we really love — the side dishes. nobody really prepares you for losing your memory in your twenties. for the past 5 years, I’ve felt my cognition slipping. I’d tell friends, “I feel like I’ve gotten dumber since college” not really realizing what exactly what was happening inside my brain. and then suddenly I couldn’t remember anything. I’d be in conversation grasping for simple words. forgetting the conversation I had a few minutes ago. listening to instructions but unable to process what was being said to me. I would lose my phone every 60 seconds. friends would tell me important things happening in their lives, and I just couldn’t remember. I felt like a horrible friend for not caring enough to remember. reading became a chore for me. what was once my escape had now become a burden. I’d get five chapters in and still not remember who the characters in the book were. and then there’s the memories. much of who I was is lost on me. my childhood, high school, college. I have glimpses of my life. friends will tell me stories “remember when” and I usually don’t. I’d gone from graduating cum laude with a double major to someone who at times couldn’t even string together a complete sentence. nobody prepares you for this. at first, you don’t even believe it’s happening. how could you? 7am coffee nuggets of wisdom: You always have the option to aim in the direction of being the best you can be in comparison to who you were yesterday. You can always choose and become more conscious of your actions a little better with every new day. You can always focus on making small changes in the areas of your life that are in your control. It’s SO important to remember: Failures are an opportunity to keep building character, strength, and confidence in yourself. No matter how big or small you made of a mistake, you can always find humility, perspective, and experience. (I know it’s really not that fun to fall on your bum, and have to pick yourself back up) Failures are actually really awesome because it means you put yourself out there on the playing field and next time you’ll be that much closer to being the best you can be. Don’t be fooled: There’s no 10 step program, it never ends and it really never gets easier if you’re committed to challenging yourself. The extra mile is all mental and usually never crowded, but that’s where you will level up. If you’re the type of person who is hungry for growth, your challenges won’t grip you with fear.
