Do you let your age define you? I used to think that turning 30 was a HUGE deal…and now as I just turned 40 I am realizing that “Age ain’t nothing but a number” like Aaliyah said. Our mindset is what determines how our attitude is towards things in our lives. When I was younger, I used to think that my mom was so old compared to me (and she’s only 17 years older than me). In retrospect, that is because she lived a very different lifestyle than I knew I would at my age. My mom didn’t center her mindset around health, nutrition, wellness, or fitness. She was busy being a single mom taking care of two daughters and working multiple jobs – I’m sure being “healthy” was probably the last thing on her mind. She also experienced some health issues (including physical issues which resulted in numerous spinal surgeries) which didn’t allow her to be as physically active as I am blessed to be today. As some of us follow examples of what was shown to us in life, some of us follow examples of what was not shown to us in life. I choose to be a healthy version of a woman, mother, and wife; not because my mom wasn’t physically active or didn’t have a mindset centered around health and wellness, it’s because I now see that in my life, that is what I need as well as what my family needs of me. I encourage anyone reading this to never let a number or point in time define you. I also encourage you all to always have a GROWTH MINDSET vs a FIXED MINDSET. I AM THIRTY! I repeat: I AM THIRTY! I never thought I would have a single ounce of excitement or happiness when I turned thirty, but y’all I’m to ready to say goodbye to my twenties. Last year on my birthday I shared how I was excited to take on twenty-nine with my best friend. Being a single mother not knowing what was in store for G and myself. My twenties were a time of trial and error, discovering who I was as a person, what life meant to me. It was tough, I’m not going to lie. I had some really dark times in my twenties that I’d like to forget but I learned a lot of life lessons. They are all part of the puzzle that has created who I am today. Jarang punya momen untuk ngerasa bangga sama diri sendiri. Dari dulu selalu nyoba ngebayangin, gimana ya suasana di hari sidangku? Ternyata kaya gini.. Di rumah, kumpul sama orang-orang terdekat. Tapi tujuanku utk lulus tepat waktu dengan IPK terakhir minimal *sekian* (rahasia), tercapai sih. Alhamdulillah. Walaupun masih jauh yaaa sm pencapaian temen-temenku. Tapi ya udah lah?! 😠 Dulu sempet ngerasain dalam beberapa minggu nyetir berangkat ke kampus sambil gemeteran, nyetir pulang dr kampus nangis karena tertekan hahahaha tapi selalu ada orang-orang (dan binatang WKWK) yang nemenin dan ngasih dukungan!! 😙 ga semuanya ada di foto sih, tapi aku sangat berterima kasih sm kalian. Tanggal 16 Juni 2020 akhirnya bisa jadi salah satu momen untuk bisa ngerasa bangga sama diri sendiri. 24/08/2020 ✨ Um dia li um texto sobre como o nosso tempo é precioso e como é importante saber usá-lo. Guardei isso pra mim. Ontem voltei a me lembrar desse texto... Porque recebi tantas mensagens de carinho e felicitações, me conectei com pessoas que eu amo e me identifico e fiquei pensando o quanto aniversário é uma data bonita, porque as pessoas doam uma parte do seu tempo pra parabenizar alguém, pra expressar a gratidão, o carinho por alguém e isso é muito lindo ✨ e independente de como esse carinho chegou, se chegou é porque alguém parou um minuto que seja pra te escrever, te ligar ou pra te ver. E isso é digno de muita emoção pra mim! Fiquei pensando nisso ontem e percebi que não preciso estar junto pra estar conectada, em sintonia, com pessoas que são importantes pra mim, que me entregaram e entregam um pouquinho do seu tempo. 2020 está nos ensinando muito mais do que a gente esperava, principalmente a dar mais valor às coisas simples e aos pequenos atos. ДВАДЦАТЬ ОДИН🥳 ⠀ Как быстро подкралась эта цифра, я даже опомниться не успела. ⠀ Как подумаю, что именно на этом третьем десятке люди женятся, рожают детей, берут ипотеки и решают взрослые вопросы, аж плохо становится...🤕 ⠀ Но в любом случае это чудесная цифра🤍 ⠀ Мои 20 дались мне очень тяжело морально, было СЛИШКОМ много всего. Именно 20 лет были наполнены слезами, обидами, болью, предательствами, срывами и всем, чем можно. Поэтому я очень хочу верить в то, что в свои 21 я вхожу более осознанная и с более простым отношением к этой жизни. Всегда будут взлеты и падения - это жизнь, это окей. Люди всегда будут приходить и уходить. Одни события будут сменять другие. И это все ок. ⠀ Беру с собой свои кредо в виде «не можешь изменить свою ситуацию, измени своё отношение к ней» и «все, что не делается, все к лучшему», и, собственно, шагаю дальше🤪 ⠀ Спасибо ВСЕМ, кто был рядом. Я впервые собрала своих самых близких и дорогих мне людей вместе❤️ ⠀ Спасибо КАЖДОМУ, кто потратил своё время и написал мне пару безумно приятных слов (а некоторые и совсем не пару😅).
