Today is celiac awareness day! I am pretty aware of celiac every day, but I’m learning how to talk about it better. . 1 in every 100 people in the US had celiac, and more than that have an intolerance of some kind. It’s more common in people of Italian and Irish descent. Everybody’s looks different, but if I have even a tiny amount of gluten, I puke like a fire hydrant, and it hurts for literally a week after. You’re welcome for that visual. I could be taken down by one crouton, for real 😂 . Undiagnosed and untreated celiac can lead to really scary things in the future, so if you feel something is off, ask your doctor! They can do an initial screening with a simple blood test. . As for me, I got diagnosed at 24 and I feel like I’m finally getting the hang of it. I’m getting better at asking for what I need, at not being embarrassed about my bizarre dietary requirements. My husband and I have separate pots and pans. Most days I cook at home and eat separately (every day is a picnic with celiac! 😂). I’ve started branching out in the kitchen- I even made my own bagels this summer, they honestly came out great. And here’s a picture of me from 2017, when I found a pizza place with gf pizza right across the piazza from the Duomo in Florence. 더 나은 비주얼을 만드는 것보다 사람이 일을 하며 응당 추구할 수 있는 행복과 권리를 위해서, 용장관스튜디오 전원은 용기를 내어 오늘 용장관의 공식 입장을 발표하고자 합니다. 여러 추측과 소문이 있었지만 용장관은 탁월한 사진가를 배척한 사례가 있습니다. 해당 사진가는 성적 무절제함과 여성에 대한 반복적인 비도덕적인 행동, 그 밖에도 인간성과 도덕성이 결여된 잦은 사건으로 용장관 뿐만 아니라 그 주변 사람들의 눈과 귀를 의심케 하곤 했었습니다. 모델들과 부적절한 관계를 가질때에도, 함께 작업을 가장 많이 하고 언제나 그 사진가를 지지해주는 기자에 대해 노골적인 성적 묘사 혹은 성희롱을 할 때에도 주변 사람들은 불편해도 모른척 할 수 밖에 없었습니다. 본인의 사욕을 위한 소비를 하는동안에 어시스턴트의 월급을 수달치 밀려서 퍼스트 어시스턴트가 본인의 통장에서 후배 어시스턴트들의 월급을 주는 일도 일어났습니다. 담배꽁초를 어시스턴트의 얼굴에 던지거나 어시스턴트 부모님의 신용카드로 고가의 의류를 구입하고 빨리 되돌려주지 않았고, 외주 업체들에는 억대의 금액이 밀리도록 결제를 하지 않고 본인의 소비에만 집중했습니다. 혼인 중 기자와 부적절한 관계를 맺을때도 어시스턴트들은 망을 보거나 모르는 척 하고 있을 수 밖에 없었습니다. 기본적인 인성을 문제로 삼지 않고, 품고 갈 수 있었을지도 모릅니다. 용장관은 후배를 의미있는 사진가로 양성하는 것뿐만 아니라 나아가 그도 어딘가에서 또 다른 후배들을 끌어줄수 있도록 지식과 경험을 교류하며 어시스턴트와 함께 살아가고 있습니다. 하루중 가족보다 더 긴 시간을, 같은 공간에서 일하며 보내는 사람들에게까지 잘못된 행동을 하는 것은 우리는 더이상 참을 수가 없었습니다. “나한테 언제 대줄거냐” “젖탱이 한 번 만져보자” “어차피 썩을 몸 나한테 한 번 주면 안되겠냐” “물이 많게 생겼다” 어시스턴트들은 이에 대해 항의를 했다가, 행여 해고되어 오랜 시간 꿈꿔온 사진가가 되지 못할까 두려워하며 보이지 않는 곳에서 소리없이 울고 서로를 보듬으며 버틸 수 밖에 없었습니다. 빈번히 일어나는 언어적, 육체적 성희롱을 그렇게 일년 이상을 참는 것 외에는 방법이 없다고, 쉬쉬 했습니다. 그러던 어느 날 여성 퍼스트 어시스턴트를 차로 불러내서 운전하던 막내 어시스턴트에게는 차에서 내려 망을 보게 하고, 차에서 성폭행과 희롱을 가하는 사건이 발생했습니다. 그러는 동안 남자 어시스턴트들은 코앞에서 누나이자 동료를 지키지 못하는 자괴감과 분노로 눈물을 흘렸습니다. 최악의 사태까지 가는 것은 퍼스트 어시스턴트의 강한 의지로 겨우 막았으나 시간이 지나도 지워지지 않는 큰 충격과 그로 인한 흉터는 당사자에게는 물론, 이 사건을 알고 있던 용장관의 여러 사람들이 마음에 고스란히 남았습니다. 수없이 거절하는 목소리과 두려움에 떠는 목소리, 그리고 무서운 말을 내뱉는 그의 목소리가 담긴 그 날의 녹음 파일을 가지고 여태까지 침묵해 왔습니다. 재기를 위해 “무혐의” 라는 단어로 모든 과오를 일축하고 진정성과 자기반성을 운운하는 것에 저희는 입장을 공식적으로 표명하기로 어려운 결정을 내렸습니다. 수많은 피해자가 자의로 나서지 못하고 있습니다. 피해자가 여성인 성범죄의 대부분이 증거가 무형인 경우가 많은데 무혐의라는 단어를 말하고 그 무게를 받아들이는 데에 주의와 공감을 간곡히 부탁드립니다. 깊이 반성했다고 해서 용서받는 것이 아니며, 용서는 본인이 스스로 하는 것이 아닙니다. 이 짧은 글에는 다 담지 못하는, 경험과 시간을 공유한 우리는 한 명의 것이 아닌 가족의 상처를 아직도 회복중에 있습니다. 무혐의란 단어보다 수많은 경험들과 피해에 귀를 기울여 주세요. 우리가 사랑하고 아끼는 모델들, 스탭, 동료들이 오늘 우리의 이 글로 인해 2차적인 피해를 입지 않았으면, 그들의 상처를 진심으로 걱정하며, 용장관은 글을 올립니다. 우리는 그들의 상처가 진짜인지 가짜인지 의심하지 않습니다. 우리는 그들의 고통의 원인은 그들이 아니라는 것을 믿습니다. 본문 내용 중 “성폭행” 이라는 단어를 사용한 바 있습니다. 최악의 사태를 가까스로 막았다는 상황에 빗대어 표현하였기에 단어 자체가 잘못된것은 아니지만 피해자에게 위험했던 사건 상황을 떠올리게 하는 표현이 될 것을 우려하여 성추행이라는 단어로 정정합니다. 함께 공감하고 걱정해주신 많은 분들께 진심으로 감사드립니다 - @yonghee_ on Instagram
