Grateful? No question. However, this is never achieved alone. Obviously, I am indebted to the rest of the team on the list, @vincentvandykefx @jrmackinnon @richardredlefsen @hookuptattoos and @mikeornelaz But I would be remiss to not point out that these honors come from so many others involved that rarely are in the privileged spotlight. I may provide a design, but it remains as only an idea on the “page” until the many many talented artists and technicians evolve it into reality. So, I share this with all of the people who truly made it possible. Thank you to the sculptors, the molders, the artists and technicians. It often begins with a lifecast, a specific skill set in itself. Thanks to those who prepped the room with alginate (or silicone), cups, brushes and plaster bandage. The skill that goes into making the molds and the mastery over the chemicals to create the prosthetics. To the men and women who keep the mixing cups stocked, the coffee flowing. To the folks putting new liners in the trash bins and sweeping the floors. To the incredibly patient artists who add each hair, one by one, for an eyebrow. Thank you to the artists who “glue” this stuff on. To the art of applying. The design lives or dies in that moment. To the painters that give nuance and realism to the final product. Let’s not forget lenses @art_of_cristina @_bob.smithson_ and teeth (where needed) Topping off a design is hair, @hairdepartmentetc thx Maria Sandoval. Rounding out the “character” is of course the costume. Without costume you simply have a head and hands with no finished personal story nor background. So, thank you also to @christineclarkdesign and her team. To the artists that sit with the “characters” all day (and night) maintaining them. To the dedicated and talented hands that remove the prosthetics at the end of day. And, outside of the makeup world, to the performers who infuse life into the applied artistry. It is dormant beauty without your thespian talents. Lastly, to the talented team under the helm of our DP @philiplanyon These characters have to be lensed and lit well in order to showcase the efforts of all of the above!
