@businessinsider just released an article revealing that the names of top Pornhub executives, including their VP Corey Price, appear to be fake. Their search to verify employee identities led either to dead ends or to Pornhubs PR firm, 5W Public Relations. Including Price, Business Insiders search raised questions about the existence of their Communications Director, VP of Product, Lead Developer, and Marketing Manager. Pornhubs PR firm 5W divulged that Pornhub guards employees identities for safety reasons. So why is one of the top ten most visited websites in the world trying to hide details about the people in charge? Perhaps its because theyre knowingly profiting off of the rape and trafficking videos hosted on their site. Ironically, this company that proactively protects the identities of its employees is notorious for allowing the sensitive personal information of its victims to be published on their site (aka doxxing). One underage rape victim lamented someone in the comments shared my accounts and my mobile number. [Pornhubs] inability to moderate comments or at bare minimum filter identifying information gave my abuser the direct chance to call me... hearing his voice was one of the most painful experiences of my life. Here are some stills from our video shoot for The Red Bedroom directed by Jyson McLean. This was the first of two days of shooting and we shot this in the warehouse at Skateboard.com thanks to @todswank We worked all night until 3am painting backdrops and setting everything up and then shot the next morning starting at 9am. Jyson had rented a bunch of mannequins but when they went to pick them up the rental place told us it was by piece, not by entire mannequin. The budget was super slim and most was going to film cost so he had to decide what to do- which is why there are a bunch of mannequin bottoms but no tops haha. This is the first photo I took of our son on his way into this world. So I’m stoked that it could be used to help give something back. Thanks to @go_dejong & @fredmacpherson for getting me involved. Songs For The National Health Service is a one-off collection of exclusive, unreleased tracks by different bands and artists, with all profits funding specialised PPE for hospitals that haven’t been provided with it. We don’t believe the NHS should be treated like a charity, but it’s difficult to watch as frontline medical professionals put their lives at risk during this crisis, especially due to a lack of the right equipment. With that in mind, all proceeds of this record will be used to directly fund the purchase and distribution of reusable PPE Respirators to protect key workers during Covid-19 and beyond. We’ve partnered with Dr. Natalie Watson at University Hospital Lewisham as she launches the Hoods for Heroes campaign. Their initial target of £30,000 will provide enough ‘PAPR’ (powered air purifying respirators) to help fully stock Lewisham Greenwich NHS Trust (site of the UK’s first patient with confirmed Covid-19 infection), Mid Yorkshire NHS Trust and University Hospital Crosshouse, Scotland. All money raised beyond that will provide equipment for further hospitals and regions based on need, not only helping safely treat victims of Covid-19, but enabling NHS teams to re-start time-critical head and neck cancer surgery. Record Recommendations of week (3/3) Lastly we have ‘Dancing’ by Tru Tones, featured on ‘Tropical Disco Hustle Volume 2’. Tru tones were formed in the late 60s by guitarists and composer Ronald Hinkson, also affectionately know as ‘Boo’. Originally from the Caribbean island of St Lucia, Boo took a lot of influence from the wealth of talented musicians that surrounded him in the Caribbean. This resulted in Tru Tones producing plenty of tropical funk tunes early in their career, such as ‘Let me get stoned’ and ‘The world is a ghetto’. However, by the late 70’s, disco had taken reach, making a larger influence on Caribbean music. This is what lead to the recording of this incredibly infectious track, along side ‘Let’s Party’ which also features on this album. Started with tapes, jumped to CDs, and ended up acquiring most of my vinyl in the days when people were dumping their collections. Worked in several different record stores in my whimsical 20s (Including Denver’s best Twist & Shout - I’m a little biased lol). DJed in the Denver area for over 20 years in over a dozen clubs, from The Snake Pit to Ophelias (and I played vinyl for the majority of that time). Saw hundreds of concerts during this time. Went to college. Started teaching. Been doing that 15 years but I will always hold record stores and vinyl near and dear to my heart. My wife and I connected at just the right time, and I knew she was the one, when she rolled out the red carpet to my records as I moved in. Now the record room at our house serves as a creativity hub for us, with her amazing @beautifullynovel workshop located in the same space. It does drive me crazy when someone says, ‘Oh I listen to everything.’ Because I don’t. But pretty damn close. I am a music enthusiast. If you love it, I can at the least appreciate it. What an incredible pleasure it was to direct such a talented crew at the beautiful space at Hackney Studios a few months back. Our aim from the off was to pay homage to Bicep’s (@feelmybicep) new sounds by putting together a live show that stands out from the standard online viewing experience that people have brushed off and become so used to. Editor, Zak Norman put the footage we shot through some analogue machinery from the 80’s that gives the visual a unique effect that can never be repeated the same way twice. Its been so exciting watching the visuals get warped and played with as the edit progresses. There are some special, special sounds being heard for the first time at this one off live show that will not be archived anywhere else afterwards. Uncomplicated - here’s my story for the song: As I travelled to Sydney last year for the @youngandfree writing retreat I was super nervous.. I was going for a long trip and hadn’t really written with a lot of the guys before/hadn’t been writing much worship music generally for a season - so if people hated my ideas it would be trés awkward 😂 @rendanbay very kindly picked me up from the airport at 5am and we went to the hills only to realise nothing was open including the place I was staying so we reached out to @jackbmcgrath who was randomly awake at 6am and decided just to go to the studio and write. @aodhanking joined us and the song took shape so quickly and organically, it was like God saying you don’t need to worry and I gained a peace I needed for the whole trip. We lived with it for the next few weeks writing so so many bridges, but when we found the one you hear on the record I remember crying as it was such a beautiful sentiment and puts to words exactly how I feel towards God. I suck at writing anything down or taking voice notes in any writing session (sorry) but I randomly have one voice note of this and it’s of us singing that bridge as we’re writing it so swipe for a listen.
