The legend of The Tyrconnell® was born in 1876, when R. M. Delamere entered his chestnut colt, Tyrconnell, in the prestigious National Produce Stakes horse race. Fortune found favor with Delamere that afternoon, as Tyrconnell bested horses and oddsmakers alike on his march to victory. Double strain and serve “up” in a coupe glass. Garnish with a grapefruit or lemon peel. Coffee + Brown Sugar Syrup* Ingredients: ½ cup of brown sugar ½ cup of hot fresh brewed coffee Add sugar to a mixing glass or vessel. Any Aultmore fans in the house? Aroma comes out swinging with a big punch of malt and dried fruits that tow in some lighter sweeter notes; Palate follows along in almost the exact same path but with more of a banana chips fruitiness than an orchard fruitiness; Finish is quite nice and hits a great balance with the oak coming through so much. The best Aultmore I’ve had was that sherry bomb Sovereign 9 yo Aultmore from a couple of years ago, but this… this ain’t bad. In the queue I have a 1996 Connoisseur’s Choice Glen Elgin that’s also held up amazingly well over 5 1/2 years thanks to using wine preserver. But like the Glen Elgin, this 2000 Connoisseur’s Choice Aultmore has changed since opening – though entirely for the better. Und da ist er endlich! Emperor’s Way for Whisky Druid ist die erste unabhängige Einzelfassabfüllung der Harzer Hammerschmiede mit eigenem Etikett und abweichender Flasche. Mit dem adligen Markennamen verbinden Genießer rauchig-würzige und fein-fruchtige Malts aus 100 Prozent Torfmalz mit bis zu 35 ppm. Der besonders komplexe Peated Hercynian Single Malt ist nur stark limitiert oder in Sondereditionen erhältlich. Die auf 272 Flaschen begrenzte Abfüllung des Whisky Druiden reifte zunächst in First Fill European Hogsheads und kleineren, mit Pedro Ximénez Sherry vorbelegten Octaves. Sein Finish erhielt der Whisky in einem einzelnen Ex-Bourbon Barrel, das die Aromen der verschiedenen Fässer kaiserlich vermählt. The wait is over, after 6.5 years we’re finally ready to share our Whisky with the world. 😊🥃🌍 Our AD/ Batch: 01 is bottled at 46.8% ABV, non-chill filtered and naturally coloured. 16,000 bottles will be dispatched from our warehouse in Fife starting from October 5th. It will be available in all good whisky shops at an RRP of £45. A list of our international stockists is available on our Adelphi Selection website. We produce two signature styles of spirit, one peated and one unpeated. The distillery was designed to produce a full flavoured malt true to its location (West Highland). The single malt will comprise a 50/50 split of peated and unpeated whiskies, matured in a 65%/35% mixture of ex-Bourbon and ex-Sherry oak casks. The AD/ Batch: 01 tasting notes includes; honeycomb, waxy peel, oyster shells, brine, strawberries with black pepper and bonfire embers. Ardnamurchan Managing Director, Alex Bruce said “When we filled the first spirit into casks, just over 6 years ago, the concept of being able to disgorge those casks into bottles seemed very distant. However, we have had an incredible journey, building our 100% local team, filling the warehouses with over 10,000 casks and preparing national and international distribution. Funky. 🥃 You can see this bottle is well-loved. Or empty. Whatever you want to call it. It’s really taken me this whole bottle to get my thoughts together because they’ve been all over the place. At times I love it. At times it’s eh. On paper, it should be a knockout for my preferences. It’s just...funky. 🥃 First off, this purchase was inspired by a very popular SMWS cask pick awhile back. I’d never had Glen Scotia, and that bottle inspired me to check them out. Victoriana’s vitals hit all the good spots for me - it’s mainly ex-bourbon, finished in heavy char oak, un-chillfiltered, uncolored, and bottled at 51.5%. Bam. 🥃 The first thing I noticed about this was just how spicy/strong it was. Absolute full flavor, but the strength is there to the point where I would *almost* exclusively recommend drinking with water. Most tingly 51% I’ve ever had. But the spice is right behind it: huge nutmeg. Once the vanilla and oak come and go, with other ex-bourbon stereotypes, that Glen Scotia “coastal-ness” comes in. There’s that salinity and smoke that is incredibly unique to Glen Scotia. There’s so much going on here, and it’s all turned up to 11, yet sometimes it doesn’t quite meld well enough for me. And sometimes it does. It’s a moody whisky. 🥃 One of the more unique whiskies I’ve had and I’d opine a good value as well. Old Particular (Douglas Laing) Blair Athol 21 Year Old 1997-2018 56.4 ABV One of 282 bottles (12968) Refill hogshead 50ml 滴入5滴水 靜置20分鐘後 溫度7～18度 室溫18度 杯型： The Perfect Measure Whisky Glass Nose: 7～14度時，主調是玉蘭花、雲尼拿、香草植物（薰衣草）、熟柑橘。甜香味讓人聯想到烤地瓜的甜香、糖炒栗子散發的焦香味。木質調性明顯，似清新香氣的燃燒檀香，而不是新鮮的木屑味或是陳年的桶味。15度～18度時花香、雲尼拿、香草植物的香氣更加明顯，甜香味在則變成更加甜美的百花蜜氣味。氣味更加奔放，層次感有很明顯的下降。 Palate: 酒體中等，丹寧感強。不滴水時酒精的氣味與刺激感太強，稀釋後甜感提高。入口時第一個感受到的是白色花香味，還有鳳梨啤酒散發出的強勁化學鳳梨味，皂味經過輕漱後非常明顯，入喉後口腔中則繚繞著蜂巢麵包的餘味（蜂蜜+雜糧麵包的味道），以及割青草的草味。 Finish: 尾韻中等，木質調與青草味，還有一些淡淡的蜜香。 同樣的先用鼻用噴霧劑清洗過鼻腔之後，首次從7度開始紀錄變化。水則是在降溫後才滴入。這支產品算是我非常喜歡的香氣類型，口感跟尾韻也有不錯的表現，跟家中其他三支同年的阿蘇比起來，在我心中的性價比目前是最出色的。之後應該也會在紀錄裡描述香氣在不同溫度時的變化。 自從上次品茗時，很明顯的察覺到水質軟硬在盲飲上所帶來的區別後，暑假應該會挑一支稀釋後香氣不易潰散的產品，來進行一次不同鈣鎂鐵離子的礦泉水對於香氣釋放的影響觀察紀錄。 #Whisky#Whiskey #scotch#ウィスキー#威士忌#aquavitae#whiskylover#blairathol#highlandwhisky#singlecask#hogshead#douglaslaing#oldparticular - @whisky_alexswj on Instagram

Elijah Craig Toasted Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey 94 Proof . Elijah Craig Toasted Barrel is the latest addition to the Elijah Craig line. The original Elijah Craig bourbon is finished in a second custom toasted and flash charred new oak barrel for an undisclosed amount of time to create this bourbon. The process is similar to that used for Woodford Doubled Oaked, although the end result is a bit different. . Lets taste it: . 🛏 Rested for 20 minutes in a Glencairn . 👉🏻Nose: Sweet, rich, burnt caramel, toffee, oak, leather, black cherry soda. Alcohol is barely noticeable. 👉🏻Taste: Oak, caramel, toffee, mild sweetness. 👉🏻Finish: Oak dominates, but caramel and toffee are still there, but are subtle. Some black pepper comes forward. An oaky dryness replaces the initial rich sweet aromas and lingers for quite a while. . My initial nosing reminded me of a creme caramel. If only that same full taste and richness continued on into the flavor and finish! But alas, those flavors are fairly rapidly replaced by an oaky dryness, with just a vague remnant of that initial wonderful aroma. . I was eager to try this bourbon because I enjoy double oaked style whiskeys, and I had read and heard some great reviews on the major sites and podcasts. However, it seemed my results would vary. 🤷🏻♂️ This was one that I had to try a number of times over the course of a week, because when I first opened it, the rich aroma wasnt really there and the flavors hadnt developed yet. Honestly, I was quite disappointed in it. It has improved with time, although I am not loving how dry and oaky the finish is. It starts off nicely balanced but unfortunately gets pretty wobbly near the end.... Maybe this will open up some more over time? Well see. Have you had this one? What do you think of it? . The Forbidden named after our local landmark The Forbidden Plateau, this small mountain and our whisky are similar in that they are both shrouded in mystery. This whisky is our very first release of a Single Malt Wheat whisky. Aroma hits with a strong HH vibe and is a nicely balanced delivery of rustic oaky, leathery and darkly sweet notes with some bolder peanut butter and cocoa notes that rise as it opens – a touch of coppery spice adds dimension; Palate starts kind of… meh, but as it opens the spice creeps up over time as do the oak and sweet notes; Finish might be the best aspect with a solid spicy oaky fade. The Daviess County Bourbon is good, it has a warm spicy presence that grows as it opens and is kept balanced with the sweetness and rustic/earthy tones that move with it. Water doesn’t do much but at 48% there isn’t any need to add it. Instead, just sit back and enjoy the solid oak note that threads through it. Plantation Guatemala XO Amburana Cask 🇬🇹 Ein sehr eleganter Rum mit fein-würzigem und fruchtigen Profil. Im Column Still in Guatemala destilliert. Die Dosage beträgt 8 g/ltr. Mehrere Jahre in amerikanischen Bourbon-Fässern (200 l), 1 Jahr in FERRAND-Fässern (350 l) und 6 Monate in Amburana-Fässern aus kontrolliertem Anbau gereift. Amburana-Holz, auch bekannt unter dem Namen „Cerejeira“, ist ein südamerikanisches Laubholz. Es ist hauptsächlich in Brasilien, Peru und Bolivien verbreitet. Der Rum weist Noten von Tonkabohnen, vermischt mit Kokosnüssen, Kaffee, Honig, Haselnüssen und Zimt auf. Im Verlauf wird er fruchtiger mit Noten von Ananas, Kirschen und Zitrusfrüchten.
