🗒️ ✍🏻 “El hombre que fue a esperarme al aeropuerto de Cambá Punta, en Corrientes era un antiguo poblador de esa región, un tipo experto.” “Así que piensa entrar al Iberá”, me dijo. “Si puedo” contesté. “¿Qué equipo trae?”, quiso saber. “Esto” (le mostré una bolsita de plástico con el cepillo de dientes y la máquina de afeitar). “Entrar es fácil – me alentó-, lo difícil es salir”.” 👉🏻 Ya en el año 1966, Iberá era catalogado (así como lo sigue siendo ahora incluso por la National Geographic) como uno de los últimos lugares salvajes del planeta; así lo retrataba en sus escritos la expedición del periodista Rodolfo Walsh por la región. En sus crónicas dejaba bien en claro el modo de vida en estas tierras que antes la habitaban mariscadores, los cuales se adentraban en los esteros por semanas buscando piezas animales para vender sus carnes y cueros a compradores de la ciudad 🏢🏢🏢. También refleja el futuro incierto para esta región 🤔, en la cual todavía no se decidía si secar todas las lagunas para así tener más tierras para pastoreo de ganado y producción de arroz, o si capaz llenar de agua toda la zona y construir diques para el aprovechamiento del agua, e incluso si elevar caminos terraplén o crear pequeños puertos que unieran distintos poblados en medio del estero. Sin duda los recursos de inversión que se hubiesen necesitado eran cifras astronómicas, lo cual hacía que esos planes sólo quedaran en la cabeza de quienes los pensaban 🙌🏻. Para la suerte del Yverá 🌅, el camino de la conservación se fue abriendo una brecha con el correr de los años. El cazador se convirtió en Guardaparque. El Iberá fue declarado Reserva Natural Provincial. Fly tippers who dumped household waste between Leamington and Southam were traced after an investigation and have donated £1,000 to us, instead of going to court. The police asked the public to recommend a wildlife charity and we were nominated. Were going to use the donation to clear up the litter left at our Bishops Hill nature reserve over the summer. Kisah itu bermula pada era pasca kemerdekaan saat Agresi Militer Belanda, jembatan ini manjadi saksi bisu dieksekusinya para pejuang setempat oleh tentara kolonial dengan cara ditembak dan kemudian dijatuhkan ke sungai Batang Agam. Peristiwa itu disaksikan langsung beserta derai air mata oleh masyarakat, terutama perempuan. Jembatan ini memiliki panjang 40 m yang dibangun sejak 1818-1840 dan masih kokoh berdiri. Foto jadul ini karya Nieuwenhuis C sekitar 1890-1900 yang dipublish oleh KILTV Leiden University Libraries. Nama Ratapan Ibu ini melekat menjadi nama jembatan sejak 1950. Kemudian tahun 1980 selesai dibangun Tugu Ratapan Ibu di salah satu ujung jembatan yang memperkuat narasi kisah ini. Seiring berjalannya waktu tempat ini seolah menjadi ikonik Payakumbuh dan telah dipercantik menjadi ruang tebuka hijau. A visit to the trending weekend getaway was worth the wait. Hundru Falls near Ranchi, Jharkhand is a place which keeps mobile phones and social medias off the bay certainly for some time. This waterfall, 45 kilometres away from the main city of Ranchi, beside Ranch-Purulia Road is created on the course of Subarnarekha river at the height of 320 feet making it the highest fall of the state. Upon arrival, the first thing to aware the visitors regarding the dangers of this waterfalls, primarily because of the story that flows years after years on this course. Getting down to the waterfalls takes around 750 steps from the parking location, which was quiet a tiring walk with steps broad and thin! The route down the base of the waterfalls serves local shops and local crafts a place to serve the tourists. But when the sound of the water gushing down makes contact with the ears, sweating that extreme feels good! Locals say that the rocks on the surface of the waterfalls are living, or in other words the rocks have spirits. The reason behind this obnoxious belief is that quite a handful of people have died in this spot. People say that the waterfall has some spirits which search souls to sacrifice, opening certain tunnels and pushing people down there. I don’t know how much truth the story holds but there is a scientific justification or a sane logic behind people slipping down the waters. Stepping on certain flat rocks pushes it, opening a tunnel and due to the huge force of gravity and attraction the person gets stuck inside the tunnel thus closing the rock. In midst of all the horrific incidents and loss of lives, the government of Jharkhand has taken some active measures in order to control the casualties.
