In the first phase, Fall Gelb, German armored units advanced quickly and surprisingly through the Belgian Ardennes. In the second operation, Fall Rot carried out from 5 June, the German troops circumvented the Maginot Line and advanced far into France. On June 17, Philippe Pétain announced publicly that France would ask for an armistice. Senflammant pour Miles Davis quand le racisme était ordinaire. Quittant Paris pour Hollywood, où ses amours avec Darryl F. Zanuck faisaient aussi grincer des dents. Et alors ? Personne n’aura dicté à Gréco ce quelle devait faire. Penser. Aimer. Chanter. Voilà ce qui nous restera. Plus encore que sa voix profonde et puissante. Plus encore que son chant théâtral et sophistiqué. Davantage même que son allure, incarnation d’une femme française fantasmée, mystérieuse et fatale. Ce qu’elle nous lègue surtout, c’est un formidable esprit de liberté, dindignation et de courage. Chaque rencontre avec elle était ainsi : une fête de l’intelligence, quelques coups de colère face au monde qui va mal, et un numéro de charme auquel il était impossible de résister. Mine de rien, elle soignait son propre mythe. On le savait, et on sen régalait. On aurait aimé que cela ne sarrête jamais. Mais les légendes survivent à l’éphémère. Si Gréco nous laisse un peu orphelins, son histoire na pas fini de nous inspirer. En hommage à la chanteuse disparue mercredi dernier, Télérama publie un hors série piloté par Valérie Lehoux. Des folles années de Saint-Germain, dans le Paris meurtri de la guerre et de l’après-guerre, jusqu’au dernier moment, elle aura vécu une vie sans demi-mesure et affranchie. Juliette Gréco (1927-2020) nous a quittés à 93 ans. Mais ses chansons nous accompagnent. Pour longtemps. En memoria de Carlos Prats y Sofía Cuthbert, a 46 años del atentado en su contra.🌹 Eran las 0.50 horas del 30 de septiembre de 1974, cuando las amenazas de la DINA, policía secreta de la dictadura pinochetista, finalmente se cumplieron y el vehículo en que se trasladaban el ex Comandante en Jefe del Ejército de Chile en el gobierno de la Unidad Popular y su compañera, Sofía Cuthbert, explotó al llegar a su hogar en la ciudad de Buenos Aires, lugar donde residían exiliados. La muerte instantánea de ambos y la brutalidad de lo ocurrido causó impacto y rechazo tanto en Argentina como en Chile, además que el hecho no había sido fortuito: dos días antes del estallido, el estadounidense y agente de la DINA, Michael Townley, se introdujo en el garaje de Prats y colocó un aparato explosivo a control remoto bajo la caja de velocidades del automóvil del general, vigilándolo durante esas 48 horas. Días antes, Prats habría enviado una carta dirigida a Augusto Pinochet, quien había asumido como su sucesor después del Golpe de Estado: “Augusto: El futuro dirá quien estuvo equivocado. Si lo que Uds. hicieron trae el bienestar general del país y el pueblo siente que se impone una verdadera justicia social, me alegraré de haberme equivocado yo, al buscar con tanto afán una salida política que evitara el golpe”. . .
