Gitarın tellerini 3 kez değiştirdim, daha okumadığım kitaplarla bakışıyoruz, balkondaki saksılarda yaşam bitmiş, bir sete gittik geldik, hemen trip.. Kediler aynı, kendi OHAL lerini ilan ettiler... Biraz yazmak, bol düşünmek, biraz söylemek, biraz da susmak arasında yeni kainatlar içindeyim, orada çok birşey değişmedi.. Dünya uyanırken bazı gerçeklere, içeriden başka uyanışlara vesile, başka oluşlara gebe ve en önemlisi insan olmanın yeni kazanacağı anlamları çaresizce seyrederek geçen bir yol kenarı pansiyonu hayat şu an herkese... This Thursday at 6pm (EST) Michael Froio joins us for a virtual artist talk, discussing his project 𝘍𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘔𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘓𝘪𝘯𝘦 that explores the historically significant Pennsylvania Railroad corridor across the Commonwealth, while considering its context within the contemporary landscape. Froio is a photographer and educator based in the Philadelphia area. Much of his work focuses on understanding the built environment and how history creates a compelling narrative in photography. Michaels commissioned work includes architectural, railroad, and heavy industry documentation and research projects in various mediums, including large format film, digital stills, video, and time-lapse photography. His work resides in noted collections, including the Library of Congress, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Woodmere Museum, and the Camden County Arts Bank collection. The presentation will begin with a pre-recorded interview with Froio (made by photographer and videographer Sam Markey) which also highlights imagery and ephemera from the project, followed by the conversation and questions from the audience with @mfroio and members of @gravy_studio. Celebrul scriitor turc Evlya Celebi a efectuat la jumătatea veacului 17 două călătorii în Dobrogea, oferind posterităţii informaţii extrem de preţioase despre localităţile aflate între Dunăre şi Marea Neagră. El a ajuns şi la Hârşova, acolo unde a aflat o legendă extrem de interesantă, de unde provine şi numele oraşului. Se spune că în plin Ev Mediu, atunci când otomanii purtau războaie cu Mircea cel Bătrân şi urmaşii săi pentru cetăţile din Dobrogea, o armată a unui sultan a ajuns şi lângă marele oraş de pe Dunăre. Turcii au început să asedieze fortăreaţa, dar nu de pe fluviu, unde zidurile erau inexpugnabile, ci de pe uscat, din câmpie. Românii din cetate erau mai puţini decât atacatorii şi şansele de a rezista în faţa atacului erau foarte mici. De aceea, creştinii s-au hotărât să îşi ia prin surprindere duşmanii, riscând totul pe o ultimă carte. Celebi povesteşte că asediaţii şi-au pus blănuri de urs peste ei şi i-au atacat noaptea pe otomanii aflaţi în tabăra militară. Se spune că atunci când a văzut cine atacă, sultanul (nu ştim numele său, neavând data exactă a asediului) a strigat: „Odovan hîrş gelyor”, care se traduce ca “vine ursul în câmpie”. Românii le-au provocat pierderi mari atacatorilor, dar Celebi nu ne mai spune dacă aceştia au mai reuşit să cucerească cetatea.
