Lho cercato in Israele e in Sicilia, a Roma e a Milano... Ho pensato a poeti russi e a poeti americani... - @luisvleon on Instagram

Happy birthday to a futurist that has inspired me for as long as I can remember, Nikola Tesla! Although he had some quirky aspects and beliefs that were sometimes questionable, Tesla dedicated most of his life to making the world a better place (take a look at his hefty patent list) and made some interesting friends along the way. For example, scroll to the third picture to see Tesla presenting his friend, Mark Twain, a demonstration of wireless electricity. If you are looking to update your reading list, I recommend his book The Problem of Increasing Human Energy Everyone should consider his body as a priceless gift from one whom he loves above all, a marvelous work of art, of indescribable beauty, and mystery beyond human conception, and so delicate that a word, a breath, a look, nay, a thought may injure it. - Nikola Tesla - @michio_kaku on Instagram

A double whammy in Birthdays today; Mark Rothko and Robert Bresson. I ran across this description of Bresson and thought it could also be about Rothko “the filmmaker has attained an even deeper mystique, compelling viewers to project their own emotional and psychological interpretations onto his spare images. Perhaps that was the point all along: the ascetic, objective and sparse nature of his work creates a wide canvas that invites and envelopes the careful viewer, and leaves us enraptured.” #bornthisday #markrothko #robertbresson #auhazardbalthazar #annewiazemsky #pickpocket #thetrialofjoanofarc #l’agent #diaryofacountrypriest - @dimitri_unique on Instagram

Manly P. Hall (March 18, 1901-August 29, 1990) Dr. Stephan Hoeller recently visited PRS to record a lecture in Halls honor on the importance of cultivating ones own philosophy of life. In his work My Philosophy of Life, Hall wrote A mature philosophy of life originates in a natural thoughtfulness. To live without thinking is to fail in the proper use of the powers and faculties with which we have been endowed. To think without applying our thoughts to the conduct of our affairs is to substitute mere intellectualism for intelligence. It is seldom possible to perfect a personal philosophy without study, through which we become familiar with the deepest and noblest convictions of mankind. We must also call upon daily experience, by which we can convince ourselves of the reality and integrity of certain basic principles ever present and forever true. Beyond both study and experience are the internal faculties of the soul, and these must bestow final certitude upon our convictions. If, therefore, we live simply and wisely, seeking first the improvement of our inner lives, reserving an open heart and mind, we shall be guided and directed according to our needs and understanding. Join us for the premiere of this recorded lecture on Esoteric Wisdom in a Time of Crisis: meeting the current health crisis and cultural turmoil with the aid of Manly P. Hall’s spiritual legacy 8/29 at 7:30pm PT on the PRS YouTube channel. More info at prs.org About the speaker: Stephan A. Hoeller was Manly P. Halls principal lecturing associate at PRS for over 20 years. He is a noted scholar and lecturer on Gnosticism and the message of C.G. Jung. He is the author of five books and President of Besant Lodge of the Theosophical Society on Beachwood Drive in Hollywood. - @philosophical_research_society on Instagram

⚡️When I was 5 ... I used photons to sneakily read my children’s scientist book collection under the covers after bedtime into what was back then... the wee hours of the night. . . ⚡️In the 5th grade I used photons to win a district wide science fair with my Russian hamsters 🐹🐹🐹... where I proudly proved a definitive correlation between light waves and their effect on manipulating rodent dietary patterns. . . ⚡️In college I used photons to calculate quantum yield and how it could be affected by single leaf pigments. (Like how the anthocyanins of purple leaf lettuce cultivars are less due to the fact that they absorb solar energy and leave carbon unfixed). . . ⚡️When I suffered from near disfiguring cystic acne ... I used low level laser light therapy photons to fill in bouncy bright collagen where demoralizing dents had once been. . . ⚡️When I became unable to move my neck and exit my bed without first conceding to falling from my bed to the floor rather than excruciatingly employ the use of my muscles .... I used photons to detect a neuro degenerative mold was the cause behind it. . . ⚡️When I eventually beat CIRS and Lyme Disease .... I began to use photons to do the same for others. . . ⚡️Where I use photons next will supersede that of the sum of all the aforementioned parts. ... so when the white coats command you less for the belief in that which isn’t solely quantifiable via the matter of man .... tell them as do I ....... and tell them as did Tesla .... ⚡️ ⚡️”First was energy ..... then there was matter ....👌🏻” . . #biophotonsarethenewblack #rootcauserevolution #quantumphysics #quantum #tesla #light #thefuture #frequency - @healthdoll.co on Instagram
