Reprimirlas es una acción bárbara, típica de las autocracias buscando generar la bóveda de miedo para paralizar a sus adversarios y mantener el control del poder, sin resolver los problemas ni atender las demandas justas del país. ¿Es que no tiene derecho a protestar quien no tiene agua, ni luz, ni gasolina y cuyo ingreso real está pulverizado, su libertad política y de expresión coartadas y no tiene instituciones insesgadas y creíbles donde exigir sus derechos? Entonces ¿a qué se refiere el derecho constitucional a la protesta? Por un lado, un gobierno primitivo que destruye lo que queda. Por el otro, una oposición congelada, dependiente de terceros y fracturada por intereses encontrados que no puede resolver por ausencia de reglas de juego comunes para dirimir sus diferencias e incapaz de desarrollar estrategias creíbles para presionar el cambio.
