This summer M&M got to experience going on a kayak and did surprisingly well! We highly recommend this fun activity since the pups really enjoyed it! We initially posted a few stories on it and got lots of questions (now in Boat highlights) At Deer Lake Park in Burnaby, there are kayak, canoe, and pedal boat rentals and pets are more than welcome. We chose a two person kayak and it was plenty of room for M&M to sit in front of corgmahm. Wonderful staff there help you on and off the boats so don’t worry! Momo sat at the very front and was calm, enjoying the breeze on her fur. Mama’s boy Muuchi obviously stuck close to corgmahm and sat in her lap once in awhile. They both never tried to jump off the boat but if you’re worried, bring a pet life jacket just in case. A few other tips: Book your time slot ahead of time, it was busy (they’re in hour and a half time slots). Bring a towel for the pup to sit on, it’ll give their paws grip and be more comfy for them to sit on. Bring water for you and the pupper, stay hydrated as it can get quite warm. Enjoy, have fun, and be safe!
