Hoy están en crisis, después de años de postular a fondos. Ayer la Carpa Azul se bajó en medio de la tormenta, rajada pero igualmente poderosa. Hoy, miércoles 17 de Junio del 2020, La Carpa de Circo de nuestro Centro Cultural CARPA AZUL CIRCO, ubicado en el corazón del cerro Barón en Valparaíso, Chile, ha llegado al fin de su vida Útil. Tras la tormenta y los fuertes vientos que durante la noche y mañana soplaron en la ciudad puerto, su lona, con más de 1.000 legendarios parches, y sus 10 años encima, con la RESISTENCIA de la gran pasion y profesionalismo de sus organizadores, el apoyo de sus colaboradores e usuarios y todo lo que le da vida a este espacio, se rajo completamente dejando imposibilitado su uso. Este espacio ha sido un pie FUNDAMENTAL en el desarrollo y crecimiento del Área Circense en la V región, ha llegado a ser reconocido en todo Chile y en el mundo. Es una importante plataforma de muestra, y de formación escénica y Festival, enfocada en el Nuevo Circo. Junto con esto han decidido poner en las raíces de los árboles plantados nombres de amigos, familias y personas que amamos para que crezcan con estos pulmones verdes. Conoció a Konomi en Japón se enamoraron y le prometió llevarla a vivir al lugar más lindo del planeta. Whilst at dinner last night at Kanyemba Lodge our guests and staff heard the commotion of a small buffalo herd stampeding on Kanyemba Island right in front of our restaurant. Some were even jumping in the zambezi water to escape. A few seconds later, a deep, hollow bellow followed by a few growls gave away the cause of the abrupt ruckus. An early morning investigation confirmed our suspicions. Two lionesses had killed a buffalo with the “kiss of life” and have been feeding on it throughout the night. A #throwbackthursday of Neebati with her cubs in December 2017 at Naboisho Conservancy. Out of the four, two males survived and successfully dispersed. Our @marapredatorconservation Programme last sighted them during their 2019 intensive monitoring session moving to Serengeti. Neebati recently brought up four males to independence who dispersed in July this year. 코끼리 양말을 만들려고 샘플을 만들었는데, 마음에 안 드는 곳이 한 곳 있어서 어떻게 수정할까 고민 중에 자료를 좀 찾다 보니 아래와 같은 기사가 눈에 띕니다. #고인물 #녹조 #기후재난 #코끼리 기사 출처 - 중앙일보 아프리카 보츠와나에서 코끼리 수백 마리가 떼죽음을 당한 사건의 원인이 물웅덩이에 있던 녹조(綠潮) 때문인 것으로 밝혀졌다. 지난 5~6월 보츠와나의 오카방고 삼각주 부근에선 약 350마리의 코끼리가 죽은 채 발견됐다. 죽은 코끼리 숫자나 현장에 상아 등이 그대로 남아있었다는 점을 고려하면 밀렵꾼들의 행위로 보기는 어려웠다. 이에 남아프리카공화국, 캐나다, 미국의 전문가들까지 참여한 조사단이 꾸려져 사인 확인에 나섰다. 21일(현지시간) 영국 BBC에 따르면 음마디 루벤 보츠와나 국립공원부 수의사는 이날 기자회견에서 “최근 조사에서 코끼리 집단 폐사는 시아노박테리아의 신경독 때문으로 밝혀졌다”고 말했다. 강이나 호수에 대량 증식해 녹조 현상을 일으키는 시아노박테리아(청녹조류)는 일부 독소를 생산하기도 한다. 이 독소가 축적되면 신경독 등 다양한 독성을 띠어 동물을 죽일 수 있는 것으로 알려졌다. 숨진 코끼리의 70%가 녹조 현상이 나타난 물웅덩이 근처에서 발견돼 애초부터 녹조는 유력한 원인으로 지목돼왔다. 다만 루벤은 “왜 코끼리만 떼죽음을 당했고, 해당 지역(오카방고 삼각주)에서만 이런 일이 일어났는지는 추가 조사가 필요하다”고 말했다. 이와 관련 과학자들은 코끼리가 다른 동물보다 목욕하는 데 많은 시간을 보내고 많은 양의 물을 마셔 시아노박테리아에 취약할 수 있다는 추정을 내놓고 있다. 전문가들은 또 최근 기후 변화에 녹조 현상이 더 빈번해지고 있어 재발 위험도 크다고 경고하고 있다. 보츠와나는 전 세계에서 코끼리가 가장 많이 서식하는 나라로, 약 13만 마리가 살고 있다. - @greenbliss7 on Instagram
