If you ever have an opportunity to use your #privilege to speak up for people, do that. We almost all have some form of privelege, either because of our age, our gender, our location, our job, our education, etc. Always use it to speak up for people if the situation arises. The migrant families in cages and left in destabilized parts of the world, couldnt speak to millions on their own behalf, to make their case - but I could, so I did. Its challenging working in media because you cant just go off on some unrelated diatribe, as that would be inappropriate. Its a topics driven industry, whether on-air or in print. Thankfully, this was the topic on the table, it was totally appropriate and I had an opportunity to use the facts to speak up for people who were being wronged. Always do that. . . Setelah menyelesaikan pendidikannya disana, ngurah melanjutkan MULO (Setingkat sekolah pertama) di malang. Pada tahun 1936 I Gusti Ngurah Rai tertarik dengan dunia militer. melanjutkan pendidikannya di Sekolah Kader Militer di Prayodha Bali, Gianyar. Pada tahun 1940, Ngurah Rai dilantik sebagai Letnan II yang kemudian meneruskan pendidikan di Corps Opleiding Voor Reserve Offcieren (CORO), magelang dan Pendidikan Artileri,Malang Bekal ilmu kemiliteran yang telah diperolehnya semasa muda dan pribadinya yang cerdas. Tahun 1945 setelah Indonesia mendeklarasikan kemerdekaannya, ia bersama dengan rekan militernya ikut membentuk Tentara Kemanan Rakyat (TKR) Sunda Kecil, kemudian ia diangkat menjadi komandannya. TKR Sunda Kecil di bawah pimpinannya, dengan kekuatan 13,5 kompi ditempatkan tersebar diseluruh kota di Bali, saat itu pasukannya dikenal dengan nama Ciung winara. Di tahun 1946 tanggal 20 november pertempuran terhadap rakyat bali dan belanda sedang berperang di lapangan puputan margarana. Karena perang itu terjadi habis-habisan jadinya i gusti ngurah rai pun wafat, ia wafat pada tanggal 20 november 1946 di margarana,tabanan.
