Soprattutto è un’esistenza senza tempo: non riesci a vivere davvero, fai delle cose per tenerti impegnato ma tutto è sospeso… Il palcoscenico, al contrario, è un tempo pieno di vita e di energia. Mi piace molto, per esempio, fare riscaldamento sul palco a sipario chiuso, nelle ore che precedono uno spettacolo; dall’altra parte, in sala, ancora non c’è nessuno, ma sai che presto lo spazio si riempirà e che si entrerà in una dimensione nuova. Il silenzio del pubblico durante uno spettacolo è un silenzio pieno: si fonda sull’attenzione, ed è carico di umanità. Considero quei momenti di preparazione alla scena come un luogo intimo del teatro, che appartiene solo a me. Un suo messaggio per il pubblico. La distanza che si è creata con il pubblico a causa della chiusura, spero che in futuro si accorcerà sempre più. I teatri e i cinema sono dei ‘luoghi di assembramento’ per eccellenza, ma non dobbiamo dimenticare mai che sono degli spazi destinati alla condivisione. Come spesso si dice: a volte, l’importanza di una cosa la capisci quando l’hai persa. Per questa ragione, spero che, appena tutto ripartirà, la gente senta il desiderio insopprimibile di entrare in questi luoghi per condividere insieme la vita.
