Many of you have guessed the inspiration for our newest Flagship Design that will be available on October 1st. It Is the Green Bank Radio Telescope. This massive telescope is used by scientists all over the world to research the vast unknowns of space. It sets 485 feet tall and has a collection area of 2.3 acres. This telescope also sits on an interesting plot of land known as the National Radio Quiet Zone. Over 100 miles of no cell phone service, internet, radio, or TV. The telescope is so sensitive that it can even pick up the radio waves being sent from the camera that took this shot. Hey guys! I hope everyone is doing well. I know I’ve been pretty quiet on here the past couple of weeks, but I’ve been using this time in self-isolation to spend more quality time with my family, which has been really special. I know it’s been challenging for everyone out there the last few weeks and I hope you are all staying in touch with family and friends and have found some ways to pass the time. I would love to hear what everyone is doing! Any ways you guys are staying creative at home? Is anyone trying to learn something new? Fun activities with kids? Would love to hear what you are all up to and get some ideas myself. As an artist, I find it can definitely be challenging not having the freedom to be in what I feel is my creative space (the outdoors), and I know a lot of you probably feel the same regardless of what do you. I figure if I can’t be out creating then I might as well use this time to help teach some of you. Stay tuned this week as I’ll be running a little contest for a few of you to win a one-on-one editing session with me, which will help you improve your skills and get you excited to sort through your old photos again. This is the sweet little cabin that we stayed in at Moosehead Lake last week with @gallerymozelle @jfarrweinfeld @teagoblet22 and her partner. I believe it dates back to about 1910. When you look at the cabin, called The Lintongan, you are facing almost North, which allowed me to get this beautiful spiral of stars overhead in a 30 minute exposure. Major flash back Friday to what feels like so many years ago. This is our first YURT. Our baby. Completely #handmade by us, using materials from the land. We remember this photo being the first that got us really excited about all the possibilities here at The Buffalo Farm. The amazing blue night sky and the stars hanging above the Yurt. Some of you may know that we lost our smaller yurt last winter due to a fire. It won’t stop us from remembering all the amazing memories.
