Immersive, and yet somehow still intimate, as one becomes a voyeur, zooming in on each individual figure as they prepare within the chaotic circus of an art fair installation. Taiwanese artist Huang HaiHsin’s large pencil on paper drawing （ like her previous work from early this year French Park-You and I Living in the Same Planet, 2020） gives viewers an aerial view of a dense and energetic scene full of figures, each going about their own way in the moments Art Basel closes. Art handlers move wooden crates, catering staff set up glasses, while gallerists tidy up their booths. Such hectic scenes, though familiar, have been a rare sight this year as a result of multiple fair cancellations due to risks of the global pandemic. Huang’s aforementioned previous large-scale pencil illustration of a French park was featured in Each Modern’s online exhibition, “Correspondence” which presented works and words by artists working in response to the new paradigm of the global pandemic. Huang is also one of several artists whose work Each Modern will be presenting at this year’s Art Taipei fair at the Taipei World Trade Center this October. The fair opens Friday, the 23rd. Be sure to keep an eye out for Huang and her work while visiting the fair. Congratulations to @jasbhallaarchitects, who has won our #housingforabetterworld design competition in partnership with @brickbybrickldn. The competition invited diverse practices to share ideas on how to improve housing in #Croydon while better representing the boroughs diversity. The scheme proposed alternative models for #housing on Croydon’s linear #shopping parades. We are really excited to have been selected by Brick By Brick, especially given the rich ideas and extremely high standard of presentations given by all finalists. The competition has been a great opportunity to explore new concepts of collective living and discuss ideas in the context of issues such as viability and delivery, ensuring proposals focus on improving housing for under-represented groups. Esse trabalho por ser o processo de fechamento que integra os conhecimentos obtidos durante o curso, me estimulou a desenvolver a temática que envolvesse para além do projeto arquitetônico em si. Nele eu trouxe a necessidade de compreender a cidade para a melhor escolha de implantação do projeto, medidas para facilitar o acesso de todos os usuários ao equipamento, a integração e valorização do entorno em que ele está inserido, além de criar um projeto que proporcionasse um conjunto de atividades com elementos arquitetônicos específicos para cada uso. Para que todo o conjunto adotado estimulasse o uso e a integração social. In a time when we are physically separated and not hearing a lot of good news, I want to share something I hope will rally folks together and get people excited. For our family, thats @smokiesbaseball. The City of Sevierville and Sevier County have been terrific partners for many years, but our stadium contract expires in 2024, so it seems like a good time to think through all options. Thats why Boyd Sports is teaming up with so many others in Knoxville to explore a potential new baseball complex in Downtown Knoxville - modeled after Chicagos famed Wrigleyville with a state-of-the-art stadium, apartments, shopping, and restaurants. Right now, its only in early discussions and meetings with officials and community members to get their input on the idea. Then, any initiative for public consideration would come from city and county leadership. Regardless, we want to develop this Old City property into something that can be a catalyst for growth for the entire community and a point of pride for East Knoxville! - @randyboydtn on Instagram

2020 A+Award Winners Gallery: Coffee Production Plant - Meama by @khmaladze_architects, Popular Winner in the Low Rise (1-4 Floors) Office Category, Jury and Popular Winner in the Architecture +Concrete category, and Jury and Popular Winner in the Office Interiors (25k sqft) category. . Given the prominent location, the city required a building that would escape the regular factory appearance, and the clients intention was to create a strong visual identity for the newly created coffee brand. The program required spaces that would fit both, coffee production plant with its facilities and office space which would provide variety of work space arrangements, meetings and socializing areas, both indoors and outdoors. Additionally, public areas which would include coffee tasting cafe with small coffee exhibits. . As a response, a regular, box‐like volume of a production plant required to serve the buildings primary purpose adjusts to program components by wrapping around them. It stays high where necessary to fit production equipment and lowers where possible. Same with office, the building shell wraps around work, meeting and rest spaces arranged on floors suspended on various levels. The three atriums as the light wells, and numerous skylights bring daylight to the work and shared spaces below. The atriums are filled with plants to form small green outdoor spaces directly visible from all indoor areas. . The 3,680 sqm green roof acts as an additional thermal barrier to the roof insulation. The roof is intended to grow vegetation found around the site with wild grasses and plants, to blend with the context and require less maintenance. . Design by MVRDV ! 𝙎𝙬𝙞𝙥𝙚 - - DEPOT BOIJMANS VAN BEUNINGEN 👌🏽 the world’s first fully accessible art depot, will open its doors in September 2021 at Museumpark in the centre of Rotterdam. The assignment was to offer a glimpse behind the scenes of the museum world and make the whole art collection accessible to the public. The reflective round volume responds to its surroundings. The Depot features exhibition halls, a rooftop garden, and a restaurant, in addition to an enormous amount of storage space for art and design. The form of the 39,5 m high Depot is ovoid, a building ‘in the round’. Its bowl-like shape means that the ground-level footprint is small – maintaining views into and routes through the Museumpark – while the roof is as expansive as possible. The crisscrossing staircases that will lead visitors to exhibition rooms and curators’ studios will also lead up to the rooftop, and the structures in the atrium will eventually hold glass display vitrines. Во вторник в администрации Находки прошло совещание главы города по реализации нацпроектов. Как сообщает nakhodka.city , одним из главных вопросов было благоустройство берега озера Солёного Тимур Магинский предложил выделить 6,5 млн руб. на проект обустройства территории озера (не на само обустройство, до которого ещё как до Луны, а на проект, визуализацию которого презентовали на совещании и в соцсетях) Откуда деньги, Зин? Тут надо вернуться на годик назад. Правительство ПК проводило конкурс среди всех муниципальных образований края по развитию предпринимательства. В Находке администрация и бизнес (представители «Опоры России») разработали и представили проект в сфере туризма. Этот план развития включал в себя организацию морского пассажирского сообщения, морских прогулок, создание турмаршрутов, разработку и запуск мобильного туристического приложения и многое другое. Данный проект получил заслуженную оценку экспертов Правительства Приморского края, которые приняли решение поощрить первые 5 мест (Находка - второе) субсидией, в размере 10 млн.рублей Догадываетесь, о чем это мы? Именно! Le diverse scale di interazione (quella interna al complesso, quella del quartiere e quella della città) non si articolano secondo un principio di interno/esterno, ma sono rese con tattiche compositive diverse: il salto di quota, l’assenza di pavimentazione, la qualità del verde, il posizionamento delle quinte architettoniche degli edifici. La transizione dagli spazi aperti a carattere pubblico (le piazze che si aprono sulla strada) a quelli a carattere collettivo (le corti verdi) non è mai lineare, ma prevede sempre un cambio di direzione, garantendo una chiarezza compositiva che permette di gestire la complessità senza ricorrere a soluzioni semplicistiche. Dal punto di vista del programma, il fronte strada e le due piazze che vi si aprono sono caratterizzate da un piano terra prevalentemente pubblica e commerciale; le due corti verdi, invece, presentano un piano terra a vocazione collettiva, con i diversi servizi per i residenti, e sono protette dal rumore della ferrovia dai due edifici più esterni. Questi ultimi sono, a loro volta, parzialmente schermati dalla permaforesta che caratterizza il lato adiacente alla ferrovia. Utilizzabile dai residenti e dalla comunità di quartiere secondo un principio cooperativo, la foresta sarà visitabile ed aperta al pubblico a scopi educativi e ludici. Expansion plans have been revealed for Manchesters Space Studios, which will involve the development of two new 20,000 square foot stages at their West Gorton site. The film and TV facility has announced the exciting plans today, which would see it grow its footprint to cover 105,000 square feet of stage space - and with the opening of supporting accommodation, would grow Space Studios to cover a total area of 17 acres. Recent successes for Space Studios have included hit drama Devs, which was broadcast on the BBC and FX on Hulu. The Apartment Complex Kop van Oost is located between Sontweg and the Eemskanaal on the outskirts of Groningen city centre. At present, this former harbour is zoned as a residential area. Independent of the towers, the galleries wind between a row of columns. The entire complex features a transparent ground floor of commercial spaces, while a courtyard with a timber deck accommodates a tennis court, playground and planter boxes with edged seating. Large flexible spaces such as lecture halls can be set up between the floors according to needs. The public area of the “training camp” uses landscape and space Room design creates a vibrant atmosphere like a campus. . Housing talent services, education and training, incubation spaces, communal sports facilities, retail and residential units, this micro city vertically stacks 4 stratums: Talent Park, Training Campus, Enterprise Hub and Smart Community. . The scheme for the Vertical Talent City in Shenzhen was designed to be a a one-stop solution for creative and artistic talent across the entire Zhujiang delta region. . This pandemic has shown that new approaches are urgently needed to ensure the health and safety of building users. Hier ist das Ergebnis des Planungs- und Beteiligungsprozesses zur Neugestaltung des Hagenmarktes. Gemeinsam mit dem beauftragten Planungsbüro Ackers Partner Städtebau soll der gesamte Raum rund um Katharinenkirche und Heinrichsbrunnen stärker als Einheit wirken. Es soll einheitliche Bänke und Leuchten geben, neu gepflanzte Baumarten, bessere Querungsmöglichkeiten, weniger Barrieren. Die aktuell zwei Fahrspuren sollen auf eine reduziert werden, von der Casparistraße soll nicht mehr nach links abgebogen werden, die Haltestelle für Busse soll zum Hagenscharrn verlegt werden. Damit wollen wir mehr Aufenthaltsqualität schaffen und Verbesserungen für den Rad- und Fußverkehr erreichen. Wie geht es nun weiter? Wir erstellen eine Vorlage für die politischen Gremien. Wenn diese zustimmen, können wir 2021 damit beginnen, unseren Vorschlag planerisch auszuarbeiten und 2022 mit dem Umbau des Hagenmarktes beginnen. These ideas were conceptualised through real-time conversations with the aging population and the younger generation | Community Park Formed around the community mounds, slowing down movement and increasing empathic interaction among age groups, the community park combines a plant nursery + Coworking resident cafe, Kinder ‘Garden’ and an age inclusive green finger allotment. Retirees will have a closer relationship with their grandchildrens whilst the working adults can still have the option to work away from the office. This is a dystopian scenario for a pedestrian bridge competition. The pedestrians are exposed as center of spectacle, all rigid decorations are open, voids become space of exhibition and display of different perspectives. Broken mirrors as materials distorted the pedestrian, the translucent concrete ring becomes the spectrum of pedestrians marginalization.
