I know many people are frustrated that we have sold out so quickly the last couple of times that we have opened for sales .There were several reasons .The first time it happened is because of an unexpected desire for people to purchase our grits ...simply we were caught of guard and not prepared for such a rush😅. We understood that we had to grind more grits than normal to fix that issue.This last sellout was not about the inventory of our grits but more about the shortage of shipping envelopes that we use .We use USPS flat rate shipping packages because it is by far the most economical way to ship OUR product to you .Many small businesses depend on USPS to service their clients and with the shortage of shipping supplies it is causing extra stress on some companies. I am saying all of this to say, We apologize to those of you who wanted to order and were unable to oder and we understand your frustrations.... We are working hard with the help of some good people ( sis) to get more packages on board. ONCE things level out we will be able to sell our product much more constantly. Every year since I can even remember, Christmas morning was spent at my grandma’s house with a meal consisting of tamales from Dallas Tortilla and menudo, as well as other things. It has to remain one of my favorite meals of all time; one that I looked forward to every time the holiday season rolled around. Since @laure_b and I moved to Portland from Chicago, we have been astonished by the love, support and family we’ve made here in only a little over 3 years. With that being said, we would love to invite everyone to @hanoakpdx (whom we love very dearly) on Monday 12/10 for a special holiday brunch we’re (@astralpdx) throwing together to send off this year properly and to share our appreciation for everyone who gave love to us over these years.
