It was always you 3 Brad and I have been talking about getting married for what feels like forever. Because I’m not a traditional gal, I wanted to pick out my own ring and I wanted something with a bit of history. Two days before our four year anniversary I showed him a vintage ring from @victorbarbonejewelry I had been looking at for a while - there was only one of it. Brad bought it right in front of me and said “happy anniversary”. For two weeks I’ve known a ring was coming and my best friend would officially ask me to marry him. Yesterday in the most us way possible, the ring came and brad couldn’t find it in our mailroom - so I ran down there and instantly the first package I find is the one we’ve all been waiting for. Let’s all laugh together at brad not being able to read a package label. As I’m laughing all the way back to our door at brads panic, he’s ripping the box open. In the middle of our living room, with our pups by our side, he got down on one knee and opened that little velvet box. I forgot to say yes because I was so excited. Happy Mother’s Day to all who love and nurture children and have a mother’s heart. Being a mother is everything and nothing that I expected. I have been pregnant 3 times in the past 3 years. We lost our first baby and I remember dreading that Mother’s Day and the fresh pain it brought... I hoped and prayed I would be able to hold Isolte in my arms on Mother’s Day and she came just in time! His head turned towards you, his mouth wide open, releasing small sounds. Was he... laughing? His scarred hand reached towards you, and without even a single moment of hesitation, you reached for it. Yes, this hand would be the one youd grab forever, hold forever, the hand you wouldnt leave. But... it was alright. He would take care of your hand, your body, your soul. You were willing to give him youre everything. Welp! Ngh! You collided with his chest, gravity pulled you both down towards the ground, but you couldnt be happier. He let out small sounds still. CFS is short for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and M.E. is also short for Myalgic Encephalomyelitis. Cfs/m.e affects 250,00 people in the uk and 17 million people around the world today, living inside a body with cfs and m.e is honestly the most horrific thing. Cfs/m.e is a horrible illness that is constantly attacking every part of your body, cfs leaves you feeling extremely exhausted, unbearable fatigue all the time, nausea, weakness, eye sensitivity, sound sensitivity, joint and muscular pain, cfs leaves you house bound, bed bound, the list of symptoms is endless. I always feel like I’m forever dragging my body through day to day life, with no energy and fighting awful symptoms every minute of the day. I was diagnosed with cfs at 13 years old, so it will be 11 years this year that I’ve been battling with cfs, growing up I didn’t know anyone that was going through the same thing, except my lovely mum who is also a cfs fighter, so I’m also speaking for my mum too today ❤️ for a long time I thought I was the only one, until social media was invented. Through social media, I have got to know so many wonderful people who are going through exactly the same thing, in so many ways social media has saved my life. Spreading awareness and doing posts like these I believe your all making a huge difference in people’s lives, and that’s what so many of us need is just to be heard, always listened to, and understood. Cfs comes with so many burdens, trials, and difficulties, juggling your illness and your life at the same time is never an easy thing, but through all of this we will find each other, find true friends, find a loving community, and someday we will find happiness again. We learn to fight through each day and find inner strength that we didn’t know we had.
