April 28, 2010 to January 15, 2020 This is a hard post to share with everyone as Whitey has been a part of so many people’s lives over the past 9 years. Last Wednesday, Whitey passed away after having been sick for several months with what we think was diabetes. He dropped a lot of weight suddenly and he was in pain doing daily activities such as eating or using the litter box. He passed away peacefully and is no longer in pain. We adopted Whitey and his twin brother Orangey as kittens together in 2010 and they’ve never spent a minute apart for the past 9 years. Whitey was always the social butterfly and would always come and introduce himself to guests to make them feel welcome. When we adopted our dog Pent, Whitey made sure he knew who was boss and was often found sleeping in Pent’s crate. Whenever Orangey was being picked on by Pent, Whitey always came in to stand up for his brother and put Pent in his place. Whitey was always there for his humans when he knew they had a rough day and was the ultimate cuddle buddy. His favorite things to do were eat, sleep, play with Orangey, and cuddle with his humans. His favorite toy was his giraffe, but if you caught him playing with it he would act embarrassed and run away. Everyone knew him as the fat lazy cat with a big personality who could brighten anyone’s day with just a meow. To continue the very small legacy Whitey left online, he is passing the torch to Orangey @the_orangey.cat to continue providing wholesome content for the world. Feel free to follow him as you wish.
