Dear Bristol, With the latest announcements from the government regarding the distancing rule being reduced to 1mtr we have received a lot of enquiries for bookings. We are truly grateful for your support and are really excited to see you all again. However we will not be opening on July 4th, the date that the government have given us the permission to do so. There will be a very different landscape to navigate when we get back to working ways and for this we hope you understand and continue to enjoy what we do even if you notice the subtle changes way may have to make. For the time being we are launching Pizza Bianchi on July 4th at the Lakota Beer Gardens in Stokes croft as we feel this is a viable/safe option to begin trading and bringing our staff back into the fold in a phased structure. We will give another update at the start of August when we hope to have a more definite plan in place for the re-opening of all of restaurants. This was taken several years ago on my first trip to Austin in the middle of February. I was super excited to see the Stevie Ray Vaughan statue as he’s is my favorite guitarist of all time. One of the things I was looking forward to is taking my family to the statue, because it’s in a great area to walk and have a picnic- plus I wanted to have a photo of my youngest son Axl who’s middle name is Vaughn after SRV. (Yes I know the spelling isn’t the name). One day hopefully soon while it’s warm and lush with greenery, my family and I will be able to go to the park see the statue, have a picnic with friends and not have to wear masks etc. I’m hopeful for those brighter days ahead. For those that don’t know, I Co-Founded Superhope (@superhope_org) back in 2014, an initiative that works with children battling Cancer from around the world. The Superhope team along with Comic Book Illustrators, Hollywood Costume Designers, Fashion Photographers, Film Directors and dozens of other creatives work with each child to customize and transform them into their very own superheroes. We do this to power boost their Positive Mental Attitude fueled by their creativity as a way to help kids fight and shield them from the disease. I first heard Toots and The Maytals “Pass The Pipe” LP while working at Rhino Records in the 80’s...songs like “Famine” and “Inside Outside” grabbed me instantly. Then came “Sweet and Dandy” from the Harder They Come soundtrack. Then I found a cool pressing of “Funky Kingston” on tour with Breakestra somewhere in Scandinavia and was once again blown away. Fast forward a few years and The Lions got to open for Toots & The Maytals at The Fillmore in San Francisco and I couldn’t believe how Toots sang with the mic about three feet away from his mouth and his voice carried all across that huge room. The man was like Otis Redding, he had so much power and so much soul. Anyway, we got to open for the man again two years ago at Reggae On The Mountain and I had to meet him so I asked my buddy Amit who throws the event and waited around til the end. When I finally made it into his trailer I was greeted with beautiful energy by a handful of ladies and Toots, exhausted after another amazing show. We chatted for a bit and he kindly signed a few of my LP’s. On “In The Dark” he wrote “Irie To You....Love, Toots” Thanks so much for spreading love your entire career Toots, irie to you. Pepper’s permaneceu no topo das paradas por 22 semanas e rendeu aos Beatles quatro prêmios Grammy: “Álbum do ano”, “Álbum de música contemporânea” (que mais tarde passou a se chamar “Melhor álbum vocal pop”), melhor engenheiro de som (Geoff Emerick) e melhor capa; além constar em todas as listas de melhores álbuns, sendo classificado como o melhor disco pela revista Rolling Stone, na lista dos 500 grandes álbuns de todos os tempos. ⠀ Na mesma época em que Sgt. Pepper’s era produzido, o Pink Floyd gravava seu primeiro disco, chamado “The Piper at the Gates of Dawn”, também nos estúdios Abbey Road.
