Wszystkich, którzy chcą poznać historię metody pilates, odsyłam do czarno-białych postów w moim feedzie oraz do artykułu podlinkowanego w bio ☝🏻 A tu dam jego fragment: „Żeby odpowiedzieć na pytanie, co to jest pilates, należy cofnąć się o 100 lat i poznać twórcę tej metody. Pochodzący z Niemiec Joseph Pilates, mając za sobą różne doświadczenia sportowe, a nawet cyrkowe, zaczął nauczać swojej autorskiej metody treningowej w czasie I wojny światowej, jako osadzony w obozie dla internowanych. Regularne ćwiczenia o umiarkowanej intensywności połączone z głębokim, odżywczym oddechem pozwoliły ponoć jemu i jego współwięźniom uniknąć zachorowania na grasującą w tamtym czasie grypę hiszpankę. Metoda Pilatesa była inna niż ówcześnie dostępne treningi – skrojone wyłącznie dla atletów. Zusammen mit Direktor Johan Holten besuchte ich Anselm Kiefer in dessen Atelier bei Paris. Es war eine faszinierende Begegnung. In den gigantischen Hallen entfalten die monumentalen Arbeiten eine ergreifende Aura. Besonders interessant war es, das Materiallager anzuschauen. Darin bewahrt Anselm Kiefer eine gut sortierte, aber schier unüberschaubare Menge an Objekten auf, die er für die Assemblagen auf seinen Werken verwendet. Die meistens aus altem Metall bestehenden Fundstücke haben eine historische Patina, die Anselm Kiefer gezielt für die symbolischen Attribute seiner Kunstwerke einsetzt. In 2019, Unit A declared a polluted, motor vehicle-dominated London ‘Out of Air’ and demanded radical transformation from 2020 - how can we reimagine ‘the spaces in-between’? Progressed in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic and the emptying of the public realm, we have seen a glimpse of a car-free London, forming voids and pedestrian connections and repurposing road-surfaces: returning primary access to the pedestrian and cyclist. Unit A (University of Greenwich) reimagine the streets of Central London and consider the opportunities this creates spatially, ecologically and socially. . PÍER MAUÁ A história do Pier Mauá, Rio de Janeiro: o legado da Copa do Mundo de 1950, porém inagurado com 3 anos de atraso. O Píer Oscar Weinschenck, mais conhecido como Píer Mauá, é um espaço público situado no bairro do Centro, na Zona Central da cidade do Rio de Janeiro. Com cerca de 45 mil m² de área, e 200 metros de extensão , integra a Orla Conde, um passeio público que margeia a Baía de Guanabara. As obras de construção do píer tiveram início em 1948, tendo sido concluídas em 1953. A finalidade original do píer seria receber transatlânticos que desembarcariam turistas estrangeiros na cidade durante a Copa do Mundo FIFA de 1950, no entanto isso não ocorreu e o espaço ficou sem uma destinação específica. Nas décadas seguintes tornou-se parte do Porto do Rio, estacionamento de veículos e espaço para realização de shows e feiras. Desde dezembro de 2015 abriga o Museu do Amanhã, projetado por Santiago Calatrava e um dos principais museus do Rio de Janeiro. O nome Píer Oscar Weinschenck é uma homenagem a Oscar Weinschenck, ex-prefeito do município de Petrópolis. Weinschenck foi o engenheiro responsável pelo projeto de ampliação do Porto do Rio de Janeiro na década de 1940. Esse tipo de construção existe há 3.000 anos, tendo sido adotada pelos Fenícios, que chegaram ao que é a África hoje em 1.200 A.C. e ilustra as formas de assentamento humano e uso da terra que representam a definição de habitar e sua interação com um ambiente natural.As casas trogloditas em Matmata forma uma paisagem lunar , colinas escavadas em seus cumes, essas depressões são pátios de habitações que testemunham uma modo de vida original e ilustram um uso rural e disperso do solo. A casa é formada por um poço escavado verticalmente que serve de pátio para o qual se abrem as várias grutas na rocha e servem de divisões para diferentes utilizações: quartos, cozinha, adegas, estábulo, etc. Em uma região sujeita a clima muito quente por muitos meses do ano, o desenvolvimento do o habitat na caverna permite que a luz penetre nas divisões subterrâneas, mantendo-as frescas no verão mais quente. O interior é conduzido por um corredor subterrâneo horizontal na encosta da montanha. Esta organização social também gerou construções vernaculares compostas por celeiros coletivos “ksour” que serviam para armazenar provisões e reservas de alimentos em quantidade suficiente para enfrentar longos períodos de seca. Os ksours também serviram como locais de encontro e de troca, evoluindo gradualmente para se tornar uma espécie de mercado. os ksour podem ser classificados em três tipos principais: o kasr da cidadela, o kasr da montanha e o kasr da planície. Eles foram construídos por populações semi-nômades Freqüentemente construído em um padrão circular, um ksar é composto de várias ghorfas (salas) em camadas, todas se abrindo para uma praça central. Have you ever heard or seen a fumarolic ice tower? What is it? Fumarolic Ice Towers are very ephemeral ice landscapes. Although there are few known places where these ice features were described, researchers believe theyre more common than previously thought. The fumarolic ice towers are formed in places where the volcanic activity encounters snow or ice. The heat produced by volcanic activity melts the ice cover forming ice caves filled with water and volcanic gases that create a life supporting environment with water warm enough to enable moss to grow. The ice coverage acts like a UV-shield for this microbiome. When gases come up theyre released near the cave entrance forming conic ice towers as high as 15 m (49 feet) tall. One of the main sites in the world where Fumarolic Ice Caves and Fumarolic Ice Towers can be found is near the Mount Erebus, in Antarctica. Researchers have found many kilometers of melted passages up to 10 m (32 feet) wide and 8 m (26 feet) tall beneath the ice sheet. Those structures are dynamic and as the Mount Erebus continues to degas, the ice landscapes change very quickly. Researchers are very interested in the dynamic between the volcanic activity and glacial coverage because they can trigger some of the most dangerous and deadly volcanic events. In 1985 the eruption of Nevado del Ruiz in Colombia melted the ice coverage releasing lahars that killed more than 23 thousand people, 20 thousand of them were habitants of the city called Armero that had 29 thousand habitants. More recently the eruption of the Eyjafjallajökull in 2010 forced many flights to be cancelled. So the understanding of those processes can help prevent tragedies in future events. Some results show that the melting of volcano ice coverage induced by the climatic changes may be accelerating eruptions once the loss of ice mass depressurizes the magmatic chamber. Until very recently, there was very little information on this kind of process. The many difficulties imposed to scientists to reach the area and study are the main reasons for that.
