To eradicate pests in our collection we treat them by placing them in our chest freezer set to minus 20 for 3 days. After freezing the artifacts acclimatize for 24 hours back to room temperature. Then staff get the great pleasure of cleaning them before returning them to storage or exhibit. - Trying to quit paper towel, so far this method seems to be working well! All the convenience of paper towel but as a reusable “roll” of cotton dish cloths/tea towels. Bucket beside for the used ones.
- Went pistol and rifle shooting. Came back with 2 bags of trash. 1 full of shotgun shells and other is random plastics and a lil brass Remember pack out more than in and well clean up places
