(LINK IN BIO 🔗) There are sometimes huge misconceptions about low back pain, how to fix it, time of healing, best exercises to curb pain, and even the structural cause of pain. 💯 My answer: YOU DONT NEED FIXING, time will vary but most can overcome it quickly and easily with the right implementation of expert knowledge, there is no one-size-fits-all exercise for LBP, and the more you consume your mind with finding the root cause of pain, the greater likelihood of falling into chronic pain. ⚠️Those who fixate their mind on structural causes for their pain or (better yet) REQUEST for X-Rays or MRIs are individuals most likely to NOT make a full recovery from the associated injury and create fear in themselves of moving confidently. 🐦 The role of bird dog variations is to improve spinal rigidity while coordinating upper and lower body movement. It allows one to move in a less threatening manner before proceeding to heavier or more functional movement patterns. 🐶 All bird dog variations have an anti-extension and rotation property to it, and is generally a great early stage exercise for low back rehab. Here are 6 variations for ya. 1. Classic Bird Dog 2. Longer Lever, Arms Legs Extended for increased anti-extension stress 3. Bird Dog to Shoulder/Hip Abduction to create an anti-sidebend property 4. Bear Crawl Position for increased instability 5. Narrow Base, 4 point base of support (toes off) 6. Narrow Base, 2 point support, KB Row Start with picking 3 of these variations based on your tolerance, apply 2-3 sets of 10 each extremity to start. LBP can seem daunting or for some, permanent, but understand 9 out of 10 people in the world will have at least 1 episode of LBP. Youre not alone, and many such as myself care for your wellbeing and have studied LBP for years. O antebraço da criança As fraturas do antebraço na crianca são o 3o lugar entre as fraturas mais comuns na criança. Geralmente ocorrem por queda em cama elástica e queda de brinquedos como monkey bar retratado na foto. (fig.2) Usualmente se apresenta de forma pouco grave, necessitando muitas vezes apenas de imobilização gessada por 4 a 6 semanas.(fig. 3) Em crianças menores, devido ao potencial de remodelamento ósseo aceitam-se maiores desvios e espera-se um ótimo resultado funcional com desaparecimento da deformidade na maioria dos casos tratados com gesso. Embora em crianças mais velhas o tratamento não-operatório também seja possível, no caso fraturas irredutíveis ou instáveis preconiza-se o tratamento cirurgico pelo menor potencial de remodelamento. Dentre as opções terapêuticas citamos por exemplo tutores intramedulares como fios de Kirschner (fig. 4) ou hastes flexíveis, esses de uso mais frequente. Não podemos esquecer também que o tratamento com tutores extra-medulares como placa e parafusos não é exclusivo aos pacientes adultos. Essas fraturas, devido a anatomia (fig.5) podem desencadear consequências ainda mais graves do que a própria fratura como lesões nervosas, vasculares ou sindrome compartimental Mesmo após o tratamento correto a criança deve ficar afastada de atividades de alto impacto por pelo menos 6 meses ou até a recanalização do osso visualizada nas radiografias devido o alto índice de refraturas. A sling and webbing anchor broke following rockfall on her descent from Pingora, in the Cirque of the Towers. ⁠ .⁠ “Janette Heung was the real deal; she climbed because she loved being in the mountains,” her climbing partner and friend Beth Goralski told Rock and Ice in an email. “Not only did she excel in climbing, she was a highly accomplished woman with degrees from the most prestigious universities in the country. One of the things I loved about her was her ability to cut through the small talk and get in depth quickly. On long car drives we’d spent hours talking about metaphysics, sociology, culture, existentialism, philosophy and of course, boys. [ PODEMOS TRATAR CONSERVADORAMENTE FRATURAS DOS OSSOS DA PERNA?] As fraturas da diáfise da tíbia estão entre as fraturas mais frequentes dos ossos longos. Uma porção considerável delas são expostas e geralmente consequente a trauma de alta energia acometendo um grupo de pessoas jovens e ativas. Para essas situações, o tratamento cirúrgico está bem estabelecido através da osteossíntese interna, quer seja com placa quer seja com haste intramedular. Quando a cobertura cutânea apresenta lesão mais complexa, a fixação definitiva pode ser feita com fixador externo (linear ou circular). Entretanto, em situações especiais, podemos lançar mão do tratamento incruento preconizado por Sarmiento, chamado de tratamento funcional (imobilização gessada permitindo carga e mobilidade do joelho precoce). Atualmente, para o tratamento incruento, a fratura deve ter pouco desvio, não ter lesões cutâneas e reservada a pacientes com pouco demanda funcional. Sarmiento preconiza inicialmente gessada cruropodálica com possibilidade de carga de acordo com a tolerância do paciente, por um período inicial variando entre 3 a 6 semanas, dependendo da estabilidade da fratura. Após esse período, troca-se essa imobilização gessada por um gesso PTB (Patellar tendon bearing). Esse gesso circular, usa uma pequena quantidade de algodão ortopédico nas proeminências ósseas, moldagem no tendão patelar de tal forma que permita extensão e flexão total do joelho, tornozelo mantido plantígrado e carga estimulada desde o início. ⛔ ANKLE MOBILITY⁣⛔ ⁣ 🎥Shown in this series of videos are a bunch of different ways to mobilize your ankle and improve your range of motion! The ankle is one of the hardest joints to gain/regain mobility in, IMO largely due to the fact that people don’t USE their new range of motion with daily activities.⁣ ⁣ 🤦‍♂️For example, many people spend 10minutes doing a lot of these exercises in the video, but then when they get up and walk, THEY DON’T USE THEIR NEW RANGE OF MOTION. Its not just walking, its going up/down stairs, squatting in the gym, using the rower, etc. In order to maintain range of motion, you NEED TO USE IT.⁣ ⁣ 👌And using it doesnt just mean a couple minutes of lunges and goblet squats after your mobility work. Its changing your gait and using your full range of motion like shown in the video clips. Its not turning your foot out and compensating through your midfoot and overpronating (ie never using your pure ankle dorsiflexion mobility). Its continually using your new range of motion throughout the day.⁣ ⁣ 🕐Mobility work NEEDS repetition. 🔥SCIATICA🔥 Sciatica is one of the most common conditions amongst middle aged individuals, including parents, weekend warriors, and desk-bound individuals. 🤹Just FYI. Theres no one catch-all exercise. Each routine is individual to the person and can emanate from a variety of sources. 🤖 Its also not completely structural. Those pain relief specialist who always need to justify sciatica with a structural cause are missing a huge component of the psychological and social factors that may be involved. Nonetheless, I like to push my clients to overcome their sciatica without needing to rest, take meds, get weekly tune-ups, or spend constant hours stretching. Heres just a few examples that may help: 🔺TRX Overhead Pallof Press 🔺Plated Knee Hugs 🔺Plate-resisted dead bugs 🔺Reverse Corkscrew Ab Curl 🔺BB-Resisted Oblique Curl ⚖ All these exercises can be graded through modifying weight, speed, reps, excursion or range of motion. Symptoms usually include pain, swelling, joint stiffness, limited range of motion and difficulty with many functional tasks. Severe pain or functional loss associated with OA of the knee or hip often leads to joint replacement surgery. . 🔎In a study by Deyle GD et al (citation below), investigators aimed to discover the difference between subjects with OA performing a home exercise program and another group of subjects performing a home exercise program with the addition of several visits of manual therapy. Outcomes were measured at 4 weeks, 8 weeks and one year. The results demonstrated that the addition of manual therapy provided greater symptom relief temporarily and that by 1 year, both groups had improved almost equally as compared to baseline. . 🧠Maybe the main takeaway from this research is that a simple home exercise program can have a dramatic impact of the life of an individual with OA of the knee. While manual therapy provided by in-person physical therapy helped in the short-term, it did not significantly alter long-term outcomes. . ✅Swipe left to see a few of the exercises that were included in this study. . 1️⃣Heel Slide with Strap - Slide as far as tolerable. 10 reps with a 3-second hold. 2️⃣Calf Stretch - Perform daily (3x30 secs). 3️⃣Hamstring Stretch - Raise as high as tolerable. Do not move the ankle as shown here. Perform daily (3x30 secs). 4️⃣Quad Set (hyperextension not necessary) - Perform daily (10x6 second hold. 5️⃣Partial Squat - Perform every other day. 2-3 sets of 10-15 reps. 6️⃣Step Up - Perform every other day. 2-3 sets of 10-15 reps. . . Pode acontecer com qualquer pessoa, em qualquer lugar, durante a realização de tarefas rotineiras. A distensão muscular ocorre quando um músculo ou o tendão que se prende ao osso é submetido a um esforço que rompe algumas ou muitas fibras musculares e os vasos sanguíneos que as irrigam, dando origem a um hematoma acompanhado de inflamação local. Ela pode ser de dois tipos: * Distensão aguda: acontece quando os tendões e os músculos são solicitados a fazer uma contração repentina, de forte intensidade. Exemplos são as contusões musculares que ocorrem durante a prática de esportes competitivos, quando levantamos objetos pesados do chão ou fazemos força brusca contra uma resistência. * Distensão crônica: surge em consequência de exercícios repetitivos, prolongados, que solicitam sempre os mesmos músculos. São as distensões musculares que atingem os corredores, os ciclistas e os que praticam esportes competitivos. Dor, hematoma (mancha roxa), edema (inchaço), dificuldade para movimentar o músculo lesado são os sintomas típicos das distensões musculares. Quanto mais intensos, maior a gravidade do quadro. Quando há rutura completa das fibras e o rompimento dos vasos sanguíneos, surge um grande hematoma no local que fica muito inchado. No que se refere à dor, nas distensões agudas, ela pode vir acompanhada de pontadas e dificuldade de movimentação do músculo comprometido. Já, nas distensões crônicas, costuma ser mais fraca e manifestar-se quando os movimentos que causaram a distensão são repetidos. O risco de sofrer distensões musculares aumenta nas seguintes situações: * Falta de condicionamento físico e do emprego da técnica adequada para a realização de cada tipo de exercício; * Falta de aquecimento antes da prática dos exercícios; * Cansaço extremo; * Excesso de peso corpóreo. Обожаю ни к чему не обязывающие пешие прогулки! Ну вот это вот, когда все с кайфом и в удовольствие - встать в 3 ночи, переть в гору 6,5 часов по льду и скатывающейся щебенке, уснуть на полчаса, лёжа на земле возле кратера на высоте почти 3000 м, потом 5,5 часов скатываться по льду и камням обратно... за это время устроить в своей голове с десяток террористических актов, раз пятьдесят пообещать боженьке быть очень хорошей девочкой, если позволит мне выжить сегодня, раз эдак миллион всем сердцем замереть от красоты момента и безоговорочно уверовать в бесконечный ресурс собственных сил. Одним словом, я умею относиться к себе с заботой и нежностью, не перенапрягаться и окружать себя максимальным комфортом 😂 Коротко о моём первом в жизни восхождении на вулкан Авачинский: 2,741 м высота 17,5 км протяжённость трека 13 часов в пути 1 тонна чего-то очень важного, что я пока не осознала.
