I found this picture of 11 year old me strolling down the beach in Costa Rica. Still one of the most special places I’ve been. My uncle was working at a travelers accomodation in the middle of nowhere. We flew to San Jose, then we had to take a mini plane for up to 12 people, (one of them crashed the week after we took it 🥴)and a 3 hour taxi drive which took us to a small place in the jungle, right on the beach. With simple wooden cabins, no cell phone reception, no internet and almost no other tourists. 兩萬的QA很多人問到當時怎麼開始Spice、我是股東嗎、怎麼決定投入這個行業的?? 覺得答案似乎是個值得發一篇文跟大家說 也想來跟大家聊聊我自己 (先提醒🔔這篇很長哦😂😂） 還記得剛創頻道的一年其實從不覺得自己是所謂的網紅 別人問我的職業是什麼時 我只會說「我的工作是拍旅遊影片啦」 每次被人問說「Youtuber 是職業嗎? 」 我的回答總是「是，也不是」 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 實際上5年前我加入 Spice 的職位是這間新創公司的行銷 而當過行銷的人可能知道 小公司的行銷意味著你什麼都要做😂 3年多前公司突然決定 「阿不然..... 來做Youtube 好了」 我們覺得這個平台是讓大家認識我們最好的方式 （當時真的想都沒想過真的可以到 50 萬訂閱） ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 一開始公司的行銷只有我跟 @leomurmurs 於是我們從不會主持、不太會用相機、我本人甚至不太會化妝，算是被半強迫的主持起旅遊影片 企劃、腳本、拍攝、主持、剪輯通通都是兩個人完成 (所以最最早期的影片都是我們倆個😂) Btw 很多人也問我以前是相關科系的嗎？ 「嗯不是，我是化學系的」 那個時候公司沒有任何前輩可以教我該怎麼使用相機、怎麼構圖運境、怎麼用穩定器、怎麼在鏡頭前更自然更不像廣告、怎麼有節奏的剪輯 一切的一切我們都是上網摸索、彼此討論、再被老闆定（當時還要在東南亞各處拖著一箱360度攝影機🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️） 慢慢的有新的夥伴加入、慢慢找到定位、慢慢才有了現在的樣子 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 所以我會說 Youtuber 這個身份是我的工作內容，但不是我的職業，我的職位其實是在做 Spice 這間公司的影音內容 我都在週間工作、不拍片時都得進辦公室跟老闆討論企劃，不是大家想像中的那種自由工作者 說到這裡可能有些粉絲會失望，大家可能以為我們是一群對旅遊有熱忱的年輕人所以才有了頻道，我們確實是有旅遊熱忱 但現實面是，光有「熱忱」是不夠的 旅遊影片比起其他類型影片需要的成本太高，若不是有一間公司支撐 我們不可能這樣沒收入的拍影片撐過剛開始的一兩年 要從默默無聞的時候讓別人開始在乎你去哪裡、你的意見也需要很多努力 若不是一個這樣的團隊，我想我們也走不到今天 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 但是這三年多來我對於 Youtuber 這份「工作」的心態轉變還滿大的 也有人問我把興趣變成職業的心態轉變 我們先來分清楚 「旅遊」跟「拍旅遊影片」對我來說其實是兩件完全不同的事😂 因為器材跟題材的關係，拍我們的影片所需要做的準備實在太多、當下的心情也是完全不同的 要身兼企劃攝影主持扛器材，無法隨心所慾也無法真正的享受 老實說我不是特別有表演慾的人，也一直對自己在鏡頭前沒自信，雖然我喜歡旅行，但這跟真正的旅遊實在是差太多了 所以開始頻道前旅遊影片從來不是我的興趣，而是一份挑戰性很大的工作 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 一開始當然是挫折到不行的 但慢慢的可能從觀眾的回饋跟鼓勵中找到成就感 發現自己原來是在創造一些改變 我也慢慢發現自己其實對攝影這塊是很有興趣的 接著我開始會花個人的時間去想怎麼讓自己的拍攝品質更好、更自然又不失專業 不知道從什麼時候開始 我的壓力慢慢變成期待挑戰 我會期待自己的每一支影片 拍旅遊影片好像才終於從工作變成了興趣 我的心態才慢慢從我是一個職員變成我是「旅遊影片創作者」 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 講了這麼多的重點是 我其實一直不是個有明確目標的人 我跟很多人一樣常常很迷惘 但我是一個很相信過程、也很願意接受挑戰的人 我相信過程的努力一定能帶來些什麼 所以當我有任何機會一定會想辦法做到最好 並且相信這些付出都會回到自己身上 也謝謝你們常常回饋讓我知道自己的努力真的是有人看見的 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 其實最近有點迷失了這樣的自己 也常常問自己 「除了Spice, 自己還剩下什麼」 擁有一個大家口中的夢幻職業，卻好像找不到自己的價值 我急於想證明自己卻又有很多無奈 於是我知道該做出ㄧ些改變了 於是做了一些重大的決定 但請大家等我的消息 等我思緒整理的更好再跟你們說💛 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 最後附上青澀到爆跟荒唐的工作花絮😂 再次的謝謝你們的喜歡 QA我會慢慢努力回的 之後也會有抽獎活動喔!! #謝謝大家 #20k - @celineclar on Instagram

(I was very hesitant to post this). Heartbreak is diving down to discover that the coral reef is completely dead and no creatures, save for some minnows, inhabit the waters anymore. I grew up going to Costa Rica to visit my family and every year, we go to Isla Tortuga. A stunning island by all means. I remember that on my last trip there, I noticed a lot of garbage in the ocean. I didn’t remember that from when I was young. But nothing would prepare me for what I was going to see later that day. My beloved reef-once filled with gorgeous fish species of all kinds, and colorful coral, was completely dead. There was nothing left. In the few short years since my last visit, over-tourism, pollution. as well as a lack of respect had resulted in a decimated marine environment. I swam for a few hours and headed up to the beach where I took this picture. I had a really amazing time. But that trip was equally haunting. I never expected the reef to be dead within a few years. It was extremely jarring. Please take care of our oceans. Ocean and wildlife conservation is more import now than ever. Also: please check your sunscreen prior to swimming in a reef. Many of them are extremely toxic and tragically destroy the reefs that are a cornerstone of our ecosystem. Please do research prior to swimming in the ocean and use reef-friendly sunscreens when possible. Please share this.
